I was very relieved to have my hernia repaired very soon after my initial phone call and first appointment. I was an outpatient and my recovery was uneventful. After 6 weeks I was back to all my usual activities. I am very grateful to Dr. Rodriguez. J.D.

Dr. Rodriquez is a true professional and a gentleman. He is a rare breed! I did a lot of research before my hernia surgery and I am so happy that I chose him. His knowledge and focus on hernias alone make him the best choice for surgery. I had to pay but the experience was worth it. A true professional surgeon. One cannot ask for a more caring and thorough surgeon. His technique and competence is second to none.I had multiple Hernia's and tears and in one simple surgery with the mesh technique.my worries are all but done.It is now 5 weeks and I have started running again and feel no pain. All has been cured and soon i will start playing contact sports again.The healing process is painless and forgot to mention I was back at work in just 3 days after the surgery. Definitely recommend Dr Rodriguez for any Hernie surgery. Top notch Doctor with a 10-10 rating in my books. G.A.

I had my operation with Dr.Rodriguez on Friday October 30,2009.Everything I was told by the Dr went according to plan!I took tylenol for 1 day following the operation,beyond that I was fine.Dr Rodriguez called to make sure I was feeling fine on Saturday and Sunday following the operation.The care: pre,during, and post operation were excellent!The service from Dr.Rodriguez was #1, he is a special Dr. no longer found in our medical system.MS

Early November, 2009 I experienced an excruciating pain in my lower abdomine. It turned out to be a recurring inguinal hernia. I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez through my general MD. Upon calling Dr. Rodriguez, I was seen the same day. A thorough examination followed with my diagnosis. The entire procedure was explained to me as well as the risks and recovery time. I agreed to proceed and operate ASAP. I was operated on the 5th of November,2009. Thankfully no complications followed the surgery because I followed the Dr.'s advice. Recovery time was exactly as the Dr. said it would be. I am feeling like a new man and plan on running the 100 meter dash in under 12 seconds. I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez to anyone needing his specialed services and expertise. T.D.

When I consulted this site to read about Dr. Rodriquez, I was somewhat skeptical as all the comments were so uber positive. Having undergone surgery with Dr. Rodriquez as my surgeon, I can honestly testify that everything that has been previously written about this wonderful, caring, and very competent doctor is absolutely TRUE! Le Dr. Rodriguez m'a opéré pour une hernie épi-gastrique et tout s'est bien déroulé ; je suis sorti de l'hopital 1 heure après l'opération et fus surpris de n'avoir recours à aucun médicament pour la douleur par la suite . J'ai pu retourner à mes activités très rapidement et sans aucun inconfort . Le Dr. Rodriguez a bien prit soin de m'appeller les jours suivant l'opération pour me donner les conseils et le soutien nécéssaire pour me rassurer d'une guérison optimale . Dr Rodriguez has taken care of two hernias for me over a span of 5 years. His skill and service are excellent. I did not hesitate to see him for the second one. There was one small glitch, in that he meant to remove a small cyst I had in the same area, but it was somehow forgotten during the surgery. He will take care of it shortly, no problem and it by no means changes my opinion of the doctor. If there were ratings up to 10, he would be a 9 or 10. DB

Dr. R was simply unbelievable. I met with him on a Wednesday, he spent one hour informing me of the entire procedure/recovery and 10 days later he operated on me. It was a piece of cake, just as he guaranteed me it would be. I was home 5 hours after arriving at the hospital and he made numberous calls to my home to see that all was ok..excellent after care service!! I went out for dinner then next night and was back in the gym a week later as promised..obviously at a slower pace but its been 2 weeks now and I pretty much have my daily routine and activities back on track, just as he assured me that I would. I would recommend Dr. R to anyone and everyone. He made what could be an unpleasant operation eay and pain free. Thank you Dr. ...you delivered exactly as you said you would!!

The master of hernia operations. Terrific service and follow up appointments. If you need to have a hernia operation you must place your total trust in Dr. Rodriguez - it is as simple as that. Dr. Rodriguez explained in detail the steps involved to operate my inguinal hernia. All preparations were easily explained. Recovery time is very quick and I am pain free after only 3 weeks. I called for a consultation on May 12th and was seen on May 14th.We discussed the procedure and my concerns.I was offered a few dates for my hernia operation and we agreed on May 22nd.I went in at 9:00 for day surgery at St Mary `s for the 10:00 operation.Finished at 11:15 as discussed.After 1 hour in recovery with excellent care,Dr R. discharged me and I was on my way home.The whole procedure was done with care,experience, and expert knowledge.Although prescribed,I did not need pain medication.Dr R. is an expert in his field.He followed up for 3 days with phone calls at my residence and I had his cell number in case of need.Follow up appointements were also efficient with little waiting time at his office.Highly reccommended.John F.

The minute I met Dr. Rodriguez he made me feel at ease. He operated on my dad and a few of my friends. They were all pleased and impressed with his services and his procedures. He is very professional and a very caring person/doctor. Before surgery I was very scared. After he explained to me the technique he was going to use I felt very comfortable and I was no longer scared. The day of surgery I was taken care of very well by the nurses and by Dr. Rodriguez. My first piece of advice is to not get a hernia, but if you must then get it fixed with Dr. Rodriguez. I received prompt appointments and didn’t have to wait long for a surgical schedule. The Doctor explained what he was going to do and the results which I should anticipate. I recovered very quickly. In fact I had a fellow sailing friend in the US who had the same surgery done on the same day but with another surgeon. He’s still suffering and very uncomfortable and I feel terrific! It’s probably a composite of reasons why everything worked out well, but a good part of it must be because of Dr. Rodriguez. It’s now three weeks post surgery and I’m doing practically everything, and feeling stronger every day. Thank you Dr. Rodriquez.

I wanted to be the 100th positif rate for this marvelous doctor and human men.
I was refered by my brother who was operated by him 7 years ago who had only good things for this man.
2 years ago i was operated for a hernia that I suffered hell for more than a week, and a few months my hernia came back and was opereted a second time and did not listing to my brother again. Yes,the operation was not a success again and finay listined to my brother and went to see this master, yes this GREAT MASTER of hernias.
He operated me yesterday, july the 24 th 2009 and called me allready twice and will call me again tomorow, the day before my visit to him.
I didn't have to take any pain killers since the operation and I am on my feet, feal realy great and will go for a little walk today.
Do not do like me, GO TO SEE HIM FIRST!

Having a hernia and requiring surgery is never convenient. Getting a hernia this February was devastating for me. It meant the end of my ski season, it would sideline me for my daughters marriage in May and sideline me in my retirement year as a Physical Education teacher. Dr. Rodriguez and his team of skilled technicians had me skiing again by March 20th Weight training again in May. All without ever having to open the bottle of Acetaminophen prescribed. His home calls to check on my progress and punctual office visits were worth every penny! Thanks

In early January 2009 I made an appointment to visit with the doctor after complaining to my GP about a severe lower abdominal pain. Dr. Rodriguez met with me the next day, scheduled my surgery the following week, and performed a fantastic surgery that has left me feeling like new. There was no pain (I did not have to take pain killers of any kind), the doctor met with me four times after my surgery, and there is virtually no scar left from the surgery. The entire experience from the first visit to my last post-op visit was nothing short of truly professional. I would not hesitate for a moment to reccomend Dr. Rodriguez to anyone requiring a hernia repair procedure. RD

My first meeting with Dr. Rodriguez was in 1995. I was admitted to St. Mary’s emergency for a bleeding ulcer. After the operation, my roommate noticed that my discharge was changing to a dark color. Doctors & nurses where called in immediately and the decision was made to operate once again to find the problem.
Just at this time, Dr. R entered my room and said NO to that route. Admitting me to ICU was his decision & wait and watch. After 48 hrs, true to his word, everything worked out by itself. Who knows what the outcome would have been if the second operation was performed.
My brother had a hernia operation in TO & I was going to go to the same facility for my hernia repair. After consulting with my GP, Dr. Hughes, I decided to stay in Mtl. Now arrives my second encounter with Dr. R, whom I will always be grateful to, because he is not only a great surgeon but also a caring person, which is a rarity these days.

Après une chirurgie ratée par un docteur du système public et une attente qui s'annoncait plutôt longue pour une deuxième chirurgie, j'ai consulté le Dr. Rodriguez qui m'avait été référé par un de ses anciens patients.Les explications fournies ont été claires et précises.La chirurgie a eu lieu dans un délai très court à la date et l'heure fixée. Deux heures après l'opération, je rentrais à la maison sans dificultés. Le Dr. Rodriguez a fait lui-même le suivi post-opératoire immédiat et subséquent(appels dans les 3 jours suivant l'opération et rencontres à son bureau ).J'ai récupéré très rapidement comparativement à ma première chirugie.En somme, j'ai apprécié beaucoup l'expertise et le professionalisme du Dr. Rodriguez dont la pratique pourrait servir d'inspiration pour le système public de santé. Dr. R fixed my post C-Section hernia. I'm 35 years old and other Dr.s wanted to make a vertical incision that would have been visible, he made me an invisible horizontal one (where my C-section scars were.) Dr. R. not only understood my concerns, he addressed them like a champ. My scar is impeccable and my stomach is as good as before my 4th pregnancy. He made it a one day surgery so I was able to get back to breastfeeding my baby. He also made sure that the operation and the medication were safe for me to continue breastfeeding. He called me twice a day for almost a week post-op and gave me all his cell number. He helped me get my life back. He has amazing surgical skills and amazing patient communication skills. He's a true gentleman. Its been 4 months since my operation. I'm back at the gym 4 days per week and I'm happy again. Dr. R remains a friend of mine. Thank you Dr. R.

After a failed hernia repair by another doctor it was a great relief to meet Dr. Rodriguez. I had forgotten what it was like to get fast access to a specialist, an early date for the operation and personalized post-op. care. Reassuring to be operated on in a regular hospital: and the staff and procedure there made the whole experience a pleasure. Local anesthetic meant that I showed up at 7:30, was operated on at 9:30 and left the hospital at 12:30. And I went out to dinner that night ! No need for any of the pain killers: I had not even an itch ! Post-op visits on day 3, day 6 and then day 18.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié le professionnalisme et la courtoisie du Dr Rodriguez. Tout s'est très bien passé, depuis la première visite à son bureau jusqu'aux vérifications post-opératoires. L'opération a eu lieu le 6 février. Le lundi suivant (9 février), je reprenais une partie de mes activités. Je n'ai pris aucun médicament antidouleur, à l'exception de ce qui avait été prescrit pour les cinq premiers jours. Je suis entièrement remis après trois semaines. Je recommande volontiers les services du Dr Rodriguez à quelqu'un qui souffrirait d'une hernie inguinale et qui souhaiterait être opéré dans les meilleures conditions souhaitables.

Fantastic Doctor. Called his office on the 3rd of Feb., got an appointment for the 5th of feb. After examining me for an inguinal henia, he said he had a spot available for surgery the next day. I took it. I had the hernia for a long time and I was tired of the discomfort. Dr. Rodriguez explained to me, step by step, exactly how the surgery would proceed. The next day at the hospital,2 hrs before surgery,I noticed other patients who had just been operated by Dr. R. an hour or two before and were walking around with no discomfort. The nurses were great. The operation itself lasted about an hour. Did not feel a thing under local anesthesia. Within half an hour I was dressed. About an hour later I walked out of the hospital. Dr. R. called me that night and the next 2 mornings to see how things were going, as he said he would. Excellent. He gave me his cell# just in case. J’ai été opéré en janvier dernier par le Dr. Jose Rodriguez pour une hernie inguinale. L’opération a été un succès, après une semaine je conduisais mon auto, après 2 semaines je retournais au travail puis après 4 semaines je faisais du ski alpin.
L’année dernière je m’étais fais opéré pour cette même hernie par un autre Dr. Du secteur public j’avais eu des complications post opératoires et une récidive très rapide.
Le Dr. Rodriguez est un vrai professionnel, il a fait un suivi suite à l’opération en me téléphonant à plusieurs reprises à la maison.
Je ne regrette pas du tout avoir été au secteur privé malgré les coûts élevés.

I was operated by Dr. Rodriguez on January 9th, 2009. THe operation was a success and I feel Dr. R. was very caring throughout the process. He called me the day before the surgery and explained everything - to put me at ease. As someone that is self-employed and using their body as a means of making a living I expressed to Dr.Rodriguez the necessity for me to lose as little time off work. Ideally this would be over the Christmas holidays, he told me he would try his best and he delivered operating on Christmas Eve. This demonstrated that he understood my personal situation and the importance of it to me financially/professionally. He is truly a masterful surgeon but more importantly a human being. From a practical standpoint I can disclose that I never took a single painkiller post-surgery although it was prescribed. I was back riding a stationary bike and walking on a treadmill 5 days after surgery. I recommend anyone who thinks they have or has an existing hernia to schedule a consultation with Dr. Rodriguez prior to making any misinformed or rash decision regarding surgery. With Dr. Rodriguez you cannot be in better hands. This is the way healthcare should be practised rather than it being the exception.

I wrote the day of my surgery (Dec. 24, 08) and now, almost one month later later, I just want to add that I still can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Rodriguez. Most doctors will see you once after surgery and then you are on your own. Doctor Rodriguez is still keeping close tabs on my progress (all told he will have seen me five times post op)each time he explains, reminds me that he is available via his cell phone 24/7, reasures me, answers any and all questions in detail. He even has time to chat a bit about things other than the problem that broughtyou to him in the first place. his patients are called in to his office at exactly their appointment time. Once again, Doctor, 5 plus all across the board. I wish there were more out there like you. I hope I won't have to see you again (because that would mean another hernia) but I will miss you. Dr Rodrigues is not only an excellent surgeon he is a very humane person taking care of his patients 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. He takes time to explain what exactly ths patient's problem is and what he intends to do to solve the problem. I had my surgery today (Dec. 24, 08) and there are not enough words to tell you how absolutely wonderful Dr. Rodriguez is in every respect. From my first appointment when he held my hand that exta couple seconds, to when he drew a diagram and explained my problem and how he will fix it, to giving us his cell number, telling us we can call 24/7, to his calls to me the day before surgery and today at home after surgery, talking to me and my wife at length without us feeling as though he was in a rush (and it is Xmas Eve). Not to mention his total warmth, caring and professionalisim in hospital before, during and after surgery. He was a total gentleman to me and my family. His skills as a surgeon - what can I say? If there was a rating higher than "5" I would give him better than best. His staff was superb; I was called in exactly on time. He is the most knowledgable doctor I have ever met. I had my surgery on November 14th with Dr.Rodriguez. He called me the night before the surgery which surprised me. Following the surgery,he spoke to the person that was accompanying me and from then on he called me every day to check on how I was doing, my friends and family could not believe the treatment I was receiving. Dr. Rodriguez called me at home for 3 days after the operation to check on me. He gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him at all time in case of emergency. He made himself available on a day that the office was closed because I was unavailable on an office day. I recommend him highly.

Sono stato operato per un ernia per la seconda volta, ma la prima operazione fatta da un'altro dottore. Dr. Rodriquez e un mago. Anche se la prima volta ero piu giovane, questa volta dopo un po piu di un'ora operato sono stato capace di uscire dall'ospedale camminando, e la a casa non ho avuto neanche bisogno di prendere pillole per il dolore. Per i prossimi tre giorni il Dr. Rodriguez mi ha chiamato ogni mattina per sapere come stavo. Il mio lavoro essendo molto fisico, sono stato a riposo per 2 settimane, ma ero pronto a riprendere il lavoro anche tre giorni dopo. Raccomando molto questo dottore, tutti dovrebbero essere come lui.

This was my sixth repair, the first by Dr. Rodriguez...Amazing! My defect was fairly large, I developed a sever cold a week after surgery and the repair held through all of the coughing and sneezing. The Doctors post op follow up was terrific, I had a small bandage crisis on a Sunday morning and was able to contact him for instructions. His staff was very helpful and friendly. A fantastic experience, I will and have recommend Dr. Rodriguez to others that can benefit from his service. If I am ever in need of another repair, I'll be back (here's hoping that I never see these wonderful people again) LW 27/08/2008

The days of old have come back! Dr. Rodrigues has demonstrated outstanding work when he took care of my dad, Kenneth Gwilliam, at St Mary's Hospital the end of July and into August 2008. His pre op explanation of the Hernia procedure was excellent. His post op care was even better. I was pleasantly surprised to hear of the daily calls and the thorough follow up. Great "experience" (if I can say that about a surgical procedure) Had my yearly physical with my GP 3 days following surgery and he couldn't believe how fast my recovery was. Suffering from extreme pain, I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez, who saw me within a few days for a consultation. After assessing my condition in a very professional and calming manner, he scheduled my surgery for the following day. At the hospital, I was once again treated and cared for in a very professional and assuring manner, by both Dr. Rodriguez and the surgical and post-surgery staff, who explained the procedures to me and calmed my worries. The excellent service continued after the surgery, where I was given the doctor's cell phone number to call if any issues arose, and was called twice by Dr. Rodriguez himself to check on my recovery prior to the follow up visit. Mon père a été opéré en 2002-2003-2005 par des bouchers du système public pour la même hernie du côté droit. Il va sans dire que ses opérations ont été ratés! Un ami l'a référé et recommandé de rencontrer le Dr Rodriguez, car en Juin 2008 en revenant de sa ronde de golf, la même hernie le faisait souffrir. Quelle chance d'avoir rencontrer le Dr Rodriguez. Il l'a opéré le 11 Juillet 2008. Tout va très bien depuis. Le DR Rodriguez est un homme des plus humain, chaleureux et très accueillant, il a répondu à toutes ses questions, il l'a même téléphoné les trois jours suivants l'opération à son domicile pour prendre de ses nouvelles et lui donner de précieux conseils afin de favoriser son rétablissement en douceur. I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez by another doctor. I am extremely impressed with Dr Rodriguez approach. He is obviously a superb and very knowledgeable surgeon (former head of surgery at a Montreal hospital) with 35 years experience. He is exceptional in that he listens, explains in detail and follows up before and after surgery. He is obviously a doctor because he likes helping people. I would unquestionably recommend him. He is gentle and caring. He is always available by cell. The pre surgery examinations are carried out at a hospital with absolutely no waiting and the surgery occurs exactly at the time promised. Find that somewhere else in Canada!! From first interview to surgery was less than three weeks.

The more principled part of me thinks it is just plain wrong that anyone in Canada should have to go private and pay for surgery that should be widely available, easy to schedule, and untraumatic. The more selfish part of me is humbly grateful for professionals like Dr Rodriguez, who offer a welcome reminder of what medicine used to be like and should still be like. He is extremely good at what he does, tells you exactly what he is going to do, when, and how, and then does it exactly as he promised to. He also happens to be a very likeable, genial man with an effortlessly reassuring bedside manner. The reviews don't lie. It seems that they are all genuine. I took a gamble and went to see Dr Rodriguez based on what I saw on ratemds.com He really knows his hernias inside out, took his time to explain the whole procedure while also listening to my concerns. He called me at home the day before the surgery, the day post-op, the 2nd and 3rd days post-op. The staff at St-Mary's was also very caring. The surgery was for a painful umbilical hernia. Après une première expérience au printemps 2006 par une opération totalement réussie d`une hernie au côté gauche grâce à l`habilité du Dr.Rodriguez j`ai été remis en forme dans peu de temps.Je pouvais compter en tout temps sur son support moral et physique.En Avril 2008, j`ai ressenti une douleur du côté droit san hésitation j`ai contacté le 1er Mai Dr.Rodriguez.Il a conclu qu`il y avait une hernie et schéduler l`opération le lendemain à cause de la position de l`hernie.Cette urgente décision était très précise,le soir je souffrais beaucoup et j`ai dû l`appeler. Le Dr José Rodriguez m'a sauvé la vie par cette opération. Avant l'opération, il m'a expliqué ce qu'il pouvait faire pour moi. Cela m'a beaucoup sécurisée. Je l'ai trouvé vraiment compétent et respectueux de ma personne. Il a voulu mon bien-être, avant, pendant et après l'opération. Je l'ai revu quelques fois à son bureau. Il est même venu chez-moi lors d'une petite complication, ce qui démontre un grand sens professionnel. Il voulait s'assurer que rien de grave ne se produirait. J'ai beaucoup apprécié ses compétences dans la chirugie de cette hernie ombilicale. Rien n'a été négligée. Je le conseillerais à plusieurs personnes qui me demanderait ses coordonnées. Surgery: Umbilical hernia. The difference between public and private healthcare systems is like day and night. Over and above, Dr. Rodriguez is an expert in his surgical skills. If that isn't enough, he adds a personalized touch by keeping constant follow-ups. He even provides his cellphone number! Can anyone ask for more? The cherry on the cake is that I was able to have my initial examination on Dec. 6, 2007 and went into outpatient clinic for day surgery on Dec. 14, 2007! I had been waiting for 10 years (honestly) on the public system and never, even to this day (April 8, 2008), been scheduled for surgery. Due to this delay in the public system I had side-effects like pains in my back that decreased dramatically after my (private) surgery. I am convinced my umbilical hernia was the cause of these pains. Across the board, Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are tops in my list! By the way, the procedure was a 100% success and left only a minor scar which is far more esthetic than before.

Suite à une opération ratèe à l'hotel-Dieu par un ''chirurgien à tout faire'' en avril 2006, j'ai recours à un spécialiste en février 2007 pour réparer les dommages. Réparation réussie et sans douleur; je marche normalement en sortant de l'hopital, en avril 2006 je montais les escaliers à 4 pattes ! Plus que satisfait. J’ai pu recommencer à travailler après 3 jours et à m’entraîner légèrement au bout de 4. Après 1 mois, ma vie a repris son cours normal et j‘ai repris les entraînements intensifs. this dr has saved my life I had a hernia hanging down to my knees for the last 10yrs no one would operate me. Then a miracle happened we found out about dr.Rodriguez & he made it happen the operation was sucessful it is almost 2yrs I am now a new person. I had a hernia operation 9 years ago with Dr Rodriguz 9 years ago. Everything went great just as Dr Rodriguex predicted. I was back doing all sporting activities within two weeks.I just underwent another operation with, now on the other side and feeling great. The tension free method he uses with a patch is fantastic. Dr. Rodriguez is a very competent Hernia Surgeon who was highly caring of the patient's well-being. He did the operation with premedication plus local anesthesia which allowed me the ability to walk out of the hospital comfortably a very short time after the completion of the operation. Dr. Rodriguez was very knowledgeable and confident. He called me the three days after the operation to find out how I was progressing. Of course I preferred to have the operation done under medicare, and I even thought of doing my second hernia operation with Medicare, but after speaking to the Medicare doctor, I decided to do the second one with Dr. Rodriguez, especially since I experienced no pain. My friend did it through Medicare and he experienced a lot of pain. It might not be because of the operation, but maybe because of the person. Still, I intend to continue with Dr. Rodriguez.

He happened to operate on two of my hernias at the same time, 20 minutes later I was walking as if nothing had happened. Very pleasantly surprised by Dr. Rodriguez. I was not used to this type of care by other doctors. Dr. Rodriguez genuinely cares and you have a feeling that you are taken care, from the very first consultation to the operation and to the follow up appointments. He personally calls the day before your surgery and the day after, something I never heard of with all the doctors I consulted. He also made sure I was off my Coumadin and made sure I was back on my Coumadin after the surgery. He also got in touch with my treating Hematologist to make sure everything was all right. Your in great hands with Dr.Rodriguez and yes I can personally recommend. Thank you. JSL

Excellent Doctor. Especially important if you have recurrent hernia problems. Dr Rodriquez has repaired both my left and right sides with excellent results. Ayant 2 hernies inguinales (droite et gauche), j’ai été opéré par le Dr. Rodriguez, pour le coté droit, en mai 2007 et pour le coté gauche, en juillet 2007. J’ai choisi le Dr. Rodriguez en 1er lieu parce qu’il m’a été recommandé par 2 médecins compétents et en 2ème lieu parce qu’il utilise la méthode tension free avec anesthésie locale que plusieurs grands hôpitaux recommandent. Durant l’opération il n’y a aucune douleur et sa durée est d’environ 1 heure. Deux heures après l’opération j’étais de retour chez moi et je pouvais conduire ma voiture le lendemain. Je n’ai pas eu à utiliser de calmants sauf quelques tylenols à l’occasion. J’ai été prudent dans mes activités pour les 20 premiers jours. Mes cicatrices sont peu visibles. Le Dr. Rodriguez est un homme compétent, méthodique, disponible, chaleureux et humain. Il aime son travail et aussi ses clients. Je le recommande. Robert Girouard, notaire, B.A. LL.L.

La planification des rendez-vous (incluant la chirurgie), la ponctualité, le diagnostique ainsi que l'opération même, bref tout s'est bien passé. Mais ce qui surpasse tout ce que j'ai vu à date est son assiduité à nous appeler le soir même ainsi qu’à tous les jours suivants la chirurgie. Début décembre 2006 on me le réfère, rendez-vous le 14 déc. il constate mes deux hernies inguinales, j'accepte l'opération mais idéalement les deux dans la même journée. 22 déc. 2006 il effectue les opérations en 2h.30 minutes et une heure plus tard je quitte l'hôpital sur mes deux pieds. Il s'informe dans la soirée de mon état de santé ainsi que tout les jours jusqu'à ma visite du 27 déc. J'ai très apprécié le Dr Rodriguez pour sa compétence , pour le temps qu'il ma consacré et ses explications sur la technique Shouldice, il m'a même donné des références pour des restaurants à Barcelone. Le Privé m'a permis de prendre le contrôle de mon agnda en 2007.

Dr Rodriguez is a top surgeon for hernia repair. I would recommend him to anyone. First his offoce demeanor is competent, calm and unrushed. Second his surgical expertise let me walk out (yes walk out) of the hospital without swelling or even the use of pain killers. I was doing light exercise within a week and heavy workouts within 10 days. Third he made 3 post surgery calls to my house. Post-surgery follow up is almost unheard of these days, and makes you feel as if he really cares. If you have a hernia problem don't waste time looking around- go directly going to Dr Rodriguez.

This doctor in very knowledgeable in his specialty of hernia repairs. He is patient and gives you all the time you need with him and all the answers to all of your questions.You never feel rushed or just another patient. He is always available to you. His care after surgery is very special, He called me the night of the operation which was on a friday to see if everthing was ok.I then recieved a call on Saturday and again on Sunday. He even gave me his cell phone number and told me to call anytime for any of my concerns.On the Monday I had an appointment to make sure all was the way he wanted it to be. He is an excellent surgon and a very compassionate person. He is one of the only doctors I have seen that takes an interest in the patient as a person as well as treating the medical issue. When you get in his office he tells you that you do not leave until every question and concern has been addressed.When you leave his office you feel at ease an in good hands and truly you are.

My experience with Dr.Rodriguez was excellant. He answered all questions and put me at ease.After the surgery,I was able to walk out of the hospital within 1 hour. Exactly 1 week after the surgery I was back at work...FULL TIME !!! 5 years ago my brother also needed surgery and Dr.Rodriguez came highly recommended by another surgeon(transplant specialist). Needless to say,my brother's experience with the doctor was excellant,so he recommended him to me. Now I can say it from my own experience...I highly recommend Dr.Rodriguez. Thanks Doc!! My first encounter with Dr. Rodriguez was 15 years ago.I was recommended to him by my personal physician as being the best in the field as far as hernia operations were concerned.I walked in to the Hospital and walked out of the operation on my own 4 hours later. I experienced absolutely no pain whatsoever and he was very reassuring throughout the entire process. In 2007, fifteen years after my original operation I developed a new condition, multiple hernias in a different location. I immediately thought about my excellent experiences with Dr. Rodriguez and scheduled to see him again. He examined me and explained thoroughly and then explained in detail how he was going to perform this operation and drew a diagram on his whiteboard to further explain and assure the procedures that will be performed.The operation only took 2 hours under epidural injection and I walked out on my own steam.Due to lack of space I must end this note although I have never had a better experience.MartinOsher

My hernia surgery with Dr. Rodriguez was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable about hernias, which helps patients understand that they are in good hands and helps relieve anxiety. You can always contact him via cell phone before and after surgery, he even calls to check up on his patients. He spends a lot of time with patients in his office. Both of these facts are incredible in this day and age. It is important to mention the quick turn around time. I was in his office on a Thursday, had surgery the following week (local anesthesia = a big advantage for the patient / no epidural, walked out 3 hours after surgery), and was able to return to my normal routine only 2.5 weeks later. This 3 week process would have taken at least 4 months at a public hospital. The scar has also healed extremely well (never opened and absolutely no bleeding). I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez. Dr.Rodriguez fixed my hernia under local anesthesia,and I was walking,and out of the hospital 1 hour after the operation ended.The recovery was very fast and painless,I never took any pain killer.I went back to my office in 3 days and play golf in 2 weeks.Great follow up,can be reach any time.Takes time to explain everything and to answer all my questions. A very positive experience,highly recommend this top surgeon.

The first contact with Dr. J. Rodriguez shows you how human the men is and his warmth. Once you talk to him you become confident because of his knowledge and authority. While under the knife you also share his smile and control. After the operation you relax because he repaired you by his surgery and cared for you by his house calls.
