04/07/13 3 2 3 3 I saw Dr. Jovanovic about 8 years ago when I was having a severe eczema attack. I found that he made me very uncomfortable. I found he touched my arms when not necessary and was in my personal space. He did give me a compounded cream prescription (not hydrocortisone!) and it works wonderfully for any flare ups. Now, 8 years later, I know that eating sugar, wheat, and dairy causes my eczema attacks.I find it very unfortunate that a dermatologist doesn't know that eating certain foods can be a huge contributing factor to patients with severe eczema. Luckily my GP can prescribe the cream he originally prescribed (if I need it) and I will not have to see him again.  Respond

29/05/12 4 4 3 3 My experience was similar to a post from 2007. Although he was pleasant and thorough, his proximity and the way he would touch my back (while examining my arm or leg) made me feel uncomfortable. Several minutes into the examination, I knew I would not be returning.  Respond

23/05/12 5 4 5 5 My husband had melanoma, and Dr. J was very good and kind to him at the cancer centre. I started seeing Dr. J too and he is quick, knows what he is doing, and a specialist in regards to cancerous growths. I feel very comfortable with him.  Respond

23/04/12 5 5 5 5 I had a sore on my leg that in 5 months grew from the size of a pea to a baseball. After 7 doctors, 3 trips to emergency, IV treatments and countless number of antibiotics, I was referred to Dr. Jovanovic by the emerg doctor. At my first appointment I he did a thorough check and a biopsy. He didnt rush me and was very informative. I did not feel like just another pstient. I just wish ne of those other 7 doctors we as thorough and it would never have progressed as far as it has.  Respond

13/12/11 4 2 5 5 I've been seeing Dr. Jovanovic for about 15 years now for a serious chronic condition. He is affable, professional and an overall excellent doctor. He spends the time that is necessary to treat his patients which means you often have to wait for some time in the waiting room for your appointment. However, he is flexible enough to see you on short notice if necessary. I've seen a few dermatologists over the years and he's one of the best, no question.  Respond

19/11/10 5 1 2 2 Waited 35 minutes in exam room...uttered rather loudly ":Jeeeusuz" as I was running late for my business day. Immediately thereafer Dr. J shows, apologetic for leaving me waiting for so long. I explain my concerns, he neither examines my skin or brings a scope to look closely, yet prescribes a hydrocortisone and erythromycin formula skin cream., based upon my verbal explanation of my concerns. He the recommends that I come back in January, I'm going to Mexico in 2 weeks Dec 4 -11. given a scribble on a physicians pad to look into "Umbro" ? Do I feel taken care of by this "specialist". Absolutely NOT. I'm saddened by the lack of care that this so called specialist showed toward a patient. Something HAS to be done about making our healthcare "optimal" not jsutst for a physicians bank account but for the betterment of the health, the whole health, of canadians. Need I say more?  Respond

14/10/09 4 4 1 2 I was told by another dematologist that I was hight risk for skin cancer and should have annual exames & I had a spot over my right eye brow I was worried about. My first appointment with Dr. Jovanovic was very disappointing, he did not do a complete check over of my whole body, the appointment felt rushed. Before when I saw a Dermatologist the doctor did a complete scan of my whole body, ears, hair line, legs, abdomen. Dr. Jovanovic only looked at my face and checked my back because I specificly requested it. Whole exame was less than five minutes. I found this inadequate for a doctor who was seeing a patient for the first time.  Respond

17/09/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Jovanovic is very professional and very well educated. He is meticulous and thorough and takes the time to answer questions and alleviate concerns. I went to him for a second opinion about a skin condition and he did a very thorough exam and explained everything very clearly to me. He doesn't have a pompous "Dr" attitude and treats his patients with respect. I will continue going to see him whenever I have any skin issues.  Respond

10/07/09 5 5 5 5 I can find NO fault with Dr. Jvanovic at all and that says alot. He is helping me with melanoma which is very personal and he is doing so in a very respectful manner. Unlike many Doctors he does NOT rush the appointment and made sure I had my questions answered. I'm pleased I was sent to him.  Respond

06/07/09 3 4 5 5 My son, my husband and my sister-in-law have seen him. I would highly recommend him!! He was able to help in all three cases and his calm bedside manner made my kids feel at ease almost right away.  Respond

27/04/09 3 3 4 5 Have been seeing him every 6 months from the time a "mole" was diagnosed as melanoma. He was informative, helpful and thorough and will not hesitate to return for further visits and procedures as required. Should also note that my husband and son-in-law also see him and are also very pleased.  Respond

18/03/09 5 3 1 2 Went to him with a proposed diagnosis from my GP - he barely looked at the condition before deciding that it was what my GP said (which I actually determined from my own research) never once did he actually feel or come close to the spot which leads me to wonder why he agreed with the diagnosis. Laziness? Put me on medication that had no effect, went back in three months and he told me to keep taking it but at a higher dosage. Medication has no journal evidence that the drug works for my condition, is blood pressure medication in essence and is not good for my other conditions. I am 19 and not prepared to be on blood pressure meds unless I have BP issues, which I don't. Seemed flippant and dismissive. Am actually canceling my next appointment, could find more help on the internet than with Dr. Jovanovic. Very disappointed and will be seeking another referral.  Respond

12/02/08 4 5 5 5 Dr. Jovanovic is an experienced doctor in the community. When he asks to check over your whole body he is looking for any unusual spots that could be cancerous. He found several spots on me. I trust him completely and have for years.  Respond

11/04/07 2 3 2 Dr. Jovanovic did not care that much about the psychological effects acne and acne scarring can have on a person. I did not like this about him at all.  See Responses

04/04/07 3 2 1 This was my first visit to a dermatologist and I felt very uncomfortable with him. For one he talked to me in my personal space, way too close. When i told him i just wanted a couple spots looked at on my back, i was told to take my pants, shoes, and shirt off. He continued to check my whole body for spots not giving me any warning that he was to check under my underwear. Upon returning to have the spots removed I was only asked to remove my shirt and lay face down on the bed. As he was finished I felt a couple taps on my behind as he said "all done". Very unprofessional, and wouldn't recomend him to anybody.  See Responses
