:) Click to report rating    8/23/08 5 4 5 I had suffered with back pain for several years before suffering a severe ruptured disc. I woke up paralyzed from the waist down and was taken to Piedmont Hospital by Ambulance. It was the luck of the draw that I got Dr. Fackler. He has operated on me twice. The ruptured dic cruched my spinal cord. I knew that back surgeries are not always 100% effective but I had no Choice. He took excellent care of me. His bedside manner and concern for me was outstanding. Without his wexpertise and excellent care I might not be walking today. I am upset by the negative reviews. There is no doctor that will guarantee the results in back surgery but he was wonderful to me and I will be eternally grateful to him.

:) Click to report rating    12/11/07 5 5 5 Dr. Fackler has been my orthopedist since I was 8, I'm now 37. He has done SEVERAL operations on my back, legs, & feet and I never had any trouble at all. I've never been to another orthopedist and I hate to have to find a new one to take his place. There's no one like Dr. Fackler.

:) Click to report rating    10/12/07 4 3 5 I am shocked to read the other comments. I went to Dr. Fackler since I was 10 years old for scoliosis, I am now 36. His bedside manner and professionalism was incredible and I would not have any other doctor to touch my back! It is too bad he is retiring should I need him in the future for my back or my children's.

:( Click to report rating    7/22/07 2 2 1 Went to dr. fackler, he told me that my back problems were the result of being overweight(of which I was 20-25 lbs) and just getting old. He released me to return to work. I protested the diagnosis and was later seen by another doctor who (with a 2nd opinion) found that I had a ruptured disc. Fackler seemed more concerned about his vacation than giving me the time and consideration needed to thoroughly examine me. Thank god I did not listen to him. I mistakenly thought he affiliation with the clinic he is with and his online resume was enough, but now I know better.

:( Click to report rating *  5/9/07 1 1 Worst Doc. I've ever met. Operated on my back and now I'm worse than before. Dr. Fack. can't explain why my pain is worse, tells me I'm going to have to live with it. Most arrogant of all MD's I've ever met!

:( Click to report rating    3/17/07 5 1 dr. fackler is based in atlanta, ga. he performed surgery on me and my planned 48hour hospital stay turned in to a month long near-death experience at piedmont hospital. dr. f is arrogant and refused to even contemplate that my surgery was not a success. my dura was torn (during surgery), i acquired an infection during the surgery that caused my kidneys to shut down, my fever was 107 and this doc wouldn't even talk to my wife and tell her what was wrong. he re-opened my twice to try and fix the problems created during surgery. since the botched surgeries, i am now disabled, have gained over 200 lbs and went from coaching my son in baseball and football to rarely leaving my house. to this day, we (my family) use the term "facklerize" to mean that something has been totally screwed up, beyond repair. sorry this is so long, but i am passionate in my despair at having ever had this surgeon's scalpel touch my skin.
