01/05/14 5 4 5 5 Dr. Roberts helped us conceive our first baby after going to Genesis for over a year. One of the best doctors we have ever experienced. Within minutes of meeting us, he identified an issue which was missed by Genesis. We were pregnant in 10 days!!!! We are so grateful to him and for his knowledge and expertise in this manner and highly recommend this doctor. We will definitely go back to Dr. Roberts for our second child.  Respond

28/10/13 3 4 5 5 Really helpful doctor. Advised us not to go ahead with expensive treatments that likely would not work. Appreciate his honesty.  Respond

16/05/13 5 5 5 5 Firstly, anyone going through fertility treatments is likely to be highly emotional, frustrated, exhausted and often desperate for both hope and answers. These emotions can skew perception of any fertility specialist - especially when they are not able to present the elusive answer to a couple's fertility challenges. After dealing with Genesis, Dr.Roberts and PCRM were a breath of fresh air and the reason I trudged on through a failed ivf cycle, miscarriage from a fet cycle to my current ivf pregnancy after trying to conceive naturally for two long years. Dr.Roberts is no doubt dry and is not one to sugarcoat. He will not tell you what you want to hear to make a buck. But he is a phenomenally accomplished doctor with a wicked sense of humor that often put me in stitches through my 1.5 yrs with him. Believe me - making an ivf patient laugh is no easy feat. He showed unwavering support and care for both my husband and I and helped make our dreams come true. I highly recommend him.

13/01/12 5 3 5 5 My gyno refereed me to Dr. Roberts for infertility treatments. After reading reviews I was worried... but my Husband and I had great experiences with Dr. Roberts. He was kind, caring and very knowledgeable and answered all our questions in a way so we can understand. Hopefully we will have a bun in the oven soon! The staff was also very kind and apologize when appointments are running late.  Respond

05/04/11 2 1 1 2 It's unbelievable to me that Dr. Roberts works with women suffering from infertility. He is uncompassionate and indifferent. It was a huge step backwards for me psychologically when I saw him. He practically told me it was my own fault I was infertile. Not only would I not recommend him to ANYONE, I will be writing to complain about him to the College of Physicians and Surgeons.  Respond

08/03/11 5 5 4 5 I have been patient of Dr. Havelock for over a year now and in some occasions I was seen/examined by Dr. Roberts. I am not sure how people judge rudeness but as someone from the educational system, I have seen every kind of it! I have never found Dr. Roberts rude or arrogant! Going through infertility treatment is a very frustrating process and I have also experienced being over sensitive at periods of time! Now, he is not a doctor to show a lot of emotions; I agree on that but I interpret that as him trying to be as neutral as possible! I personally appreciate that! In my opinion he is one of the most considerate and gentle Drs. when performing transvaginal ultrasound. He has been very good in following up with my case. I do think however he can improve by providing patients with more details of their specific situations. Overall I think he is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor and I would highly recommend him!  Respond

08/12/10 1 1 2 2 i too am surprised at the positive comments. i found dr. roberts to be rude, arrogant, completely inaccessible (NEVER ever returned my phone calls) and made several critical errors in my care without ever apologizing. as well, i would describe the office as disorganized bordering on incompetence. medications and tests were missed, medications were over prescribed with the clinic refusing to rectify the situation to the tune of $1000! no one ever washed their hands or checked my name before doing tests, i wouldn't be surprised if patients' information and results got mixed up. for the big bucks PCRM charges, the service should not be like this. there are far better choices in the lower mainland, go elsewhere! (genesis is excellent!)

22/11/10 4 3 1 2 I'm actually quite surprised at the many glowing recommendations on Dr Roberts, but happy that people have had good experiences with him. My husband and I found him to be cold, rude, and extremely unhelpful. After one visit with him I asked my MD to refer us to another fertility clinic, as I felt terrible about returning to PCRM and doing any procedure with Dr Roberts. He also gave me inacurate info on drugs used to stimulate ovulation. This is something very important to my husband and I, and we want to feel like the doctor actually cares and wants to help us, unfortunately we felt the exact opposite to this.  Respond

07/09/10 5 5 5 5 We are presently in the care of Dr. Roberts and will be staying at PCRM until we successfully achieve a pregnancy. He is extremely professional, caring and I find him to be very witty and personable. He has a great bedside manner and I feel very comfortable and relaxed in his presence. I highly recommend him. Take a look at his exceptional credentials and see how much he has achieved at his young age!

26/11/09 5 5 5 5 I was referred to him by my family doctor after we couldn't get pregnant for 1 year. He took care of my husband and me, and we got pregnant within 6 months. I had to pay only for medicine (clomide) the rest was covered under MSP. I went back to him when it was time to get pregnant second time and he was helpful again, this time we managed to get pregnant on our own without any procedures. I would definitely recommend him.  Respond

22/06/09 4 1 1 4 After two miscarriages I saw Dr.Roberts, who ran some tests and said there was nothing wrong with myself or hubby. I had my third miscarriage and he still said there wasn't anything wrong,I went through IUI with him and it did not work. He just kept sending me away saying nothing was wrong and to keep trying. A very frustrating, depressing time in my life. A friend referred me to dr Treggoning who immediately said I should have test done that Dr Roberts never thought to do,and he said he was suprised dr Roberts had not done it. After three visits with Dr tregonning I have more info than three years with dr Roberts,I now know what the cause of my miscarriages is,and how to prevent that from happening.I am pregnant again and everything looks good. I felt releived and positive after meeting dr Tregonning, something I never got form dr Roberts who I felt just overlooked me and didn't care since I wasn't going to be spending thousands of dollars at his clinic on IVF.

03/06/09 4 3 5 5 I trust Dr Roberts implicitly. He has a quiet subdued personality with a great sense of humour that will come through once he gets to know you. He sticks to the facts and tells you up-front what is happening and what your chances are. There is no B/S from him. He has performed 2 surgeries on me and followed me right through to successful pregnancy (thanks to him!). He takes the time to answer your questions, which is why he is usually running late for appointments. He really cares about his patients. He will tell you when he is confident about your successes and when he is not. He will guide you by arming you with the information you need to make the best informed decision on your own. He has the best success rates in the country. I would recommend this Dr to anyone having difficult conceiving. Its a long journey and this Dr will help you through it.

22/05/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Roberts and his team are awesome. He is working hard and knows exactly what he's doing and is great at his job. Totally professional operation. By the way "sergeon" is actually spelled surgeon and MD means medical doctor which includes gynecology. Your ignorance makes your comments irrelevant.  Respond

05/05/09 5 5 5 5 We really appreciated the way Dr Roberts managed our expectations around getting pregnant with fertility problems and the care we received from him when we lost our first pregnancy. We found Dr Roberts to be very good at explaining difficult prolems in an extremely sensitive and respectful manner. We appreciated his patience and felt he really supported us in making our own decisions about available treatments. (We did not actually end up using any of the treatment options since we were not good candidates). We found Dr Roberts to be very clear, open, kind and patient. We strongly recommend him to others.  Respond

07/04/09 5 5 5 5 I am shocked at some of comments. I found PCRM and Dr. R to be amazing. After years of undiagnosed issues, Dr. R was the one who diagnosed and treated me. He performed surgery and had wonderful bedside mannor. I have encouraged other to see him because of my wonderful experience and they have since become pregnanat. If there is any question about his ability check out his success rates, some of the best in Canada.  Respond

14/01/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Roberts is the reason my husband and I are going to be parents. We went to him for a second opinion, and found that we had been initially misdiagnosed by another dr. Although the fertility treatment was not at all pleasant, Dr. Roberts and his colleagues were helpful, encouraging and answered all questions. I do have to say it's very hard to get ahold of someone in the office if you have questions, some staff are rather unhelpful and almost rude, I saved any questions til after closing and called the after hours #, it was too hard to get answers during the day. The receptionist Cheryl Ann, however, is an absolute gem!  Respond

29/07/08 2 3 1 2 Horrible Experience! Cold and unhappy office with uncomfortable chairs and decor! Poor after care. None at all actually. Dr. Roberts credentials on his Biz Card say he is a Sergeon and an MD and yet he performs Gyno work. I was examined once and also had a procedure done WITHOUT a female in the room (or anyone) I will never ever go back. I had to have follow up so I went to a hospital emerg instead! took longer but well worth the care  Respond

15/07/08 5 4 4 5 I have seen Dr. Roberts for three years now. Not only has his knowledge helped us in our fertility journey but he is a very compassionate doctor. His personality is dry but that doesn't mean he's cold. We got pregnant through the fertility clinic but our baby also passed away in the NICU which is sad. Dr.Roberts was our fertility doctor but another doctor in the office was our OB/GYN. When Dr.Roberts saw us after losing our son he took us in a room to talk to us and express how sorry he was. You could genuinely see he cared. I would recommend Dr. Roberts AND PCRM to anyone that needs fertility help.  Respond

14/04/08 5 4 5 5 I have worked with physicians in many roles over the last few years. Dr. Roberts is focused and extremely intelligent. It takes a substantial amount of knowledge and experience (actually) to work in the field of infertility. He cannot give false hope to women who want it. He never pressured us into any decisions, and he was available, engaged, and extremely kind to us at all times. Reproductive Endocrinologists don't educate themselves for so many years so that they can make everyone feel good. They are there to apply science to infertility and hopefully succeed. I would refer Dr. Roberts to anyone seeking help with getting pregnant. I trusted him 100% with my care and treatments. I found him respectful, considerate, and empathetic, and that goes for his entire team. I couldn't have chosen a better clinical or health care professional. He researches the preservation of fertility for cancer patients. How anyone can perceive him as insensitive is beyond me.  Respond

04/02/08 1 2 1 1 I saw Dr. Roberts for fertility treatments over the course of six months last year. I found him to be cold, monotone and sarcastic. I felt like he regurgitated information to me that didn't necessarily apply; he never remembered my last treatments so he was constantly misquoting the next protocol; he made obvious factual errors in regards to treatment protocols and simple well-known facts about certain methods of treatment that were just plain inaccurate. I eventually left his practice, still not pregnant, and out a whole lotta money. Unfortunately I think lack of practical experience for Dr. Roberts might be a major part of his shortfalls. Fancy office, yes. Doc Roberts - not worth your time. Find a fertility doctor who actually CARES, or who at least pretends to!!!  Respond

Can't keep appntments or be on time. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. The expensive & fancy office speaks for itself.
