normally i don't do this, however...this specific doctor would not even see me for the fact that i have a "temp" health card. He turned me away, informed me that i had only emergency coverage and hung up on me. I contacted the Ministry of health, the College of Optometrists, as well as OHIP and Service Ontario, all who said that he was to take the temporary health card and it was sufficient for everything. this is a VERY VERY poor practice on his part, and if i was able to find out the truth with the matter of 24 hours, how come he could not after being in the field for a number of years. This is something very basic, and shows to me that he has just gotten into a routine and he needs to re-look how he treats potential customers. I even had my eyes checked elsewhere in the time that it took me to research and find out he was wrong. the Government as well as the College of Optometrists have an official complaint on this as well. I hope this happens to no one else.
I don't know how to thank him, 3 well known ottawa optometrist told me my both eyes are lasy and suspended my driving license, but Dr. AABED diagnosed my condition as "keratoconus" then he fitted me with hard contact lenses and I saw 20/20 by each eye. I was able to drive again and live a normal life again. He is the best optometrist I ever seen, he is very professional and likes to help. He told me that he enjoys his work more than anything else specialy chalenging conditions like my case. There is no enough space here to thank him for the special care he gave me and would like to recommend him to every one, even my kids still talking about his amazing exam and how he treated them like his own.
