I love Dr. Makhene! She is so helpful and kind. You can tell she loves her work. I will and do recommend her to everyone I know. She is affordable and offers a great and thorough dentist experience. I actually look forward to going to the dentist because she and her staff are so enjoyable to talk with. Such a professional. I can't enough good things about Dr. Makhene!

Dr. Makhene and her staff are wonderful!! I was put at ease from the moment I walked in the door. Her friendly staff are so welcoming. I must admit I have always feared the dentist, but her first rate bedside manner put me at ease. As an educator (she teaches at Howard's Dental School), she takes the time to explain the how/what/why. She is extremely thorough and made me feel like I was her only patient. Hands down my favorite dentist!

First, I tried Dr. Makhene. I was so impressed with her kindness and care that I now have my entire family seeing her. We have a Family Dentist Day and go together, all 4 of us. My 3yr old even lets her clean her teeth. Never thought that would happen! I've told two additional families about how great the doctor is with children. They switched dentists and LOVE Dr. Makhene, as well. I always receive thanks from friends for introducing them to this dentist. As soon as someone tells me about having a child or adult that's difficult in the dentists' office, I can relate and refer them to Dr. Makhene. Problem solved. The Gilgeous Family adores her!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Makhene since I was 10 years old. She has great bedside manner and is capable of putting you at ease. She genuinely cares for her patients which is probably why she keeps so many clients over the years.
