31/03/14 4 3 5 5 Dr. Kroop is definitely busy and there is a wait associated with an office visit, but he is bar none, the best physician in the San Fernando Valley, and values his patients as human beings.

03/09/12 2 2 2 3 Ive been to Dr Kroop two times and he is... Crabby, Impersonal, doesn't return message (he or his staff) I don't know who the lovely people are that are writing these reviews but I can only guess they are friends and family of Dr Kroop. I had a flue and he gave me an antibiotic which gave me bad side effects. I told Dr Kroop and he said "well I don't know what to do" and I said "well, give me another antibiotic!" I should have added "and please don't charge me for the visit when I am telling you what to do"! Anyway he took lots of tests which was good but then I couldn't get him to call me and tell me what the tests said. I left 6 messages for him and his staff. Very annoying!

27/07/11 5 4 1 3 from a letter sent in July 2011:Your office has promised for six months to contact me with the results of my examination on January 20, 2011, but in spite of my five phone messages and three visits to your office, you still have not contacted me. Although last week you sent me a bill for "balance due." I'll pay this when you actually deliver the services for which I've paid. I think I have been patient long enough, and am now cc'ing the Better Business Bureau and the American Medical Association. You and your office have reneged on the following promises. January 20 - "The doctor will call you next week to go over your results." February 15 - "We'll mail your charts to you; a nurse will call you tomorrow." April 6 - "I'll call you tomorrow." (Dr. Kroop, in person, in his office.) I can only hope that when you do contact me, it is with the news of a good bill of health.

20/04/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Kroop and Dr. Cutter (I swear it...) were my docs for about 5 yrs when I lived in CA. I'd recommend either one to anyone. Theya re both wonderful. Dr. Kroop is one of the most thorough diagnosticians I've ever met and I miss him now that we live out of state. Dr. Cutter always took my calls, even though he wasn't my regular practiioneer, if Dr. K wasn't working. I sent many co-workers and family members to this office and never heard even one negative comment. He reminded me of 'bear in the big blue house' with his relaxed gait and tall frame. I miss ya Dr. K...keep smiling dude!!!

21/08/09 1 1 1 1 I came for a new patient appointment and had to wait 30 minutes before the slow staff behind the counter realized "oh, new patient, give him paperwork", although I asked when signing in. At 30 minutes there was still no discernible horizon in sight as to when I would see the doctor. Oh, and he shares his waiting room with pediatricians it seems so the waiting room, in which you wait forever, is jammed with kids; you get the rest of the story. This is good for the elderly patients Kroop sees? Come on. Bypass this practice.

29/06/09 3 1 2 3 As previously mentioned this is a very busy office. Dr. Kroop is very stoic. Spends little time with this patients. I would like to feel that he listens, but he is a man of little words. His nurse is much less the same. I had some major tests done, after many calls to the office it took over 3 weeks for a response. I tried Kroop, bc I was unhappy with the other doctors at Valley Health. Not sure what to do now. If you enjoy being treated like cattle, then Valley Health is for you.  Respond

05/03/09 2 3 3 5 Dr. Kroop is an excellent resource if you need a quick appointment. He'll always squeeze you in if you are sick. I've even walked in a few times without an appointment and he'll see me. He is friendly and I believe knowledgeable. However, I have a few complaints. He is too busy to really pay much attention to anyone. As a result I don't think he is very thorough. He typically sees a patient for only a few minutes, breezes through your chart (not really remembering your history), makes a quick diagnosis probably writing a prescription or to send you to a specialist for another test and then leaves the room and is on to the next patient. If you have to come back to review the results of any tests he ordered, he really doesn't seem to remember why you're back. I don't think that I've ever waited for less than an hour in the waiting room - he is always way behind schedule.  Respond

14/10/08 5 4 5 5 Its true this office is very busy. But Dr. Kroop is by far the best doctor i've ever been to. I hope the man never retires. If you have a problem with waiting then dont go. But if care about your health, this is man to see. Straight arrow, tells you how its is, gives free samples and never makes you feel uncomfortable like some doctor's do when looking for remedy. For 13 years he has been my doctor and i wouldn't go anyone else for my health care. Period!!!  Respond

09/06/07 2 1 2 I've been seeing Dr. Kroop for a number of years now. The only reason I keep going back is that the few other doctors I've tried are worse. He may be good with his elderly patients, but I find him cold and his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. His Medical Group has grown so large that he is more of an administrator than a doctor anymore... I feel he doesn't listen, and is dismissive when I try to talk to him. I usually am kept waiting for long periods of time in one of the examination rooms. A nurse comes in and takes my pulse and tempature, and then he comes in, does a perfunctory examination; makes a few notes in my file and then rushes me out the door. I'd love to find another doctor in the area that I actually felt cared about my health, I'd go more often. He may be good with the elderly, but with anyone under 70 I would question his responsiveness.

25/03/07 3 5 5 VERY PROFESSIONAL, TAKES TIME WIH HIS PATIENTS EXPLAINS AND ANSWERS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. EXCELLENT PERSONALITY ,TO ME IS A PLUS. HE TREATS ALOT OF ELDERLY PATIENTS AND TREATS THEM WITH THE UPMOST RESPECT AND CARE. HE IS THE TYPE OF DOCTOR ANYONE WOULD FEEL SAFE GOING TO. I HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM TO MANY OF MY FRIENDS WITH CONFIDENCE, KNOWING THEY WILL RECIEVE THE CARE AND COMPASSION THE WOULD EXPECT.  Respond
