24/06/13 5 1 5 5 I have been going to Dr.T or 5 years when my first daughter was born. She is very helpfull and I trust her opinion when it comes to my children. MY son had breathing problems and she made every effort to make sure he was taken care of. The reception lady is also very nice, she always gives my kids stickers :)

19/06/12 5 3 5 4 I like Dr. T, and so does my daughter. I do find it necessary to do my own research and be comfortable with my own decisions, because she has opinions/values that I consider somewhat outdated. She is not very supportive at all of breastfeeding... would always say things to me like "You're still breastfeeding? You're not giving any formula yet? Are you sure you're making enough milk?", which just seems so strange when public health is working so hard to get women to breastfeed. (And we are not talking about extended breastfeeding - she was expressing surprise that I was still breastfeeding by the time my baby was 4 months old, and in the 90th %ile for growth.) Still, I really like her and her secretary. They are very considerate about fitting us in in an emergency, and Dr. T. will even talk to you on the phone if you have questions about your child's symptoms. I would just say do your own research, and be comfortable with your decisions - especially around breastfeeding.  Respond

11/08/11 5 5 5 5 Dr Thevathasan is amazing ! My doctor sent a referral to her for when my son was born and the day he was born she was at the hospital checking him out. Whenever I need him to be seen, she will fit him in that day no matter what her hours are, she has given up her own time for my son and other patients. When he was diagnosed with rota virus, he became dehydrated and needed an iv, Dr T, made me wait in her office until she was certain that they're was a bed open in pediatrics for him so he wouldn't be forgotten in emergency, and she was they're to check on him around the clock until he was released. She is an amazing doctor and human being and i am extremely lucky to have her as a pediatrician. I feel completely 100% confident that my sons health is safe in her hands ! Her secretary is so caring and polite and remembers who i am every time, and she takes the time to say hi to my son and interact with him. I am so lucky to have them both !  Respond

29/04/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. T. is a wonderful pediatrician. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and thorough. As mentioned by others, she never rushes through appointments and takes the time to address all of your concerns and questions. She also knows how to speak to children, and my boys just love her. I haven't experienced any delays at her office...so I also gave her a 5 on punctuality. I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is just the best!  Respond

15/03/11 5 1 4 5 Dr. T. is a good doctor, but every time we go she's at least 45 mins to 1 hour late. I don't think my kids get the right care because then she's rushed to catch up. But she does seem to know what she's talking about. Her secretary is amazing-the kids love her.  Respond

10/08/10 5 4 5 5 I am extremely pleased with Dr. T. Both my girls were born in Germany so the needles are a bit different than in Canada. She took her time to look over all the German needles and Canadian needles to make sure they were getting exactly what they needed. Since we head back to germany for 6-8 months every year she was careful to stay on their schedule. In Germany Hip b is a mandatory needle that my girls had already started so Dr. T continued with that. She wasnt comfortable giving it at the same time as their other needles so we waited 2 weeks to come back for that one. That coulnt have pleased me more that she was so precautions with my little ones. We feel so lucky to have found her and would recommend her to anyone. I gave the punctuality a 4 because we have had to wait up to 30 mins at one appt but if its because she takes the time at every appt to understand your situation and make sure your kids get the best attention...then so be it. Its worth the wait. Marlene is also very sweet.  Respond

24/11/09 4 5 5 5 Dr. T is incredible! She has helped my son through alot of things. She is caring and gentle. Dr. T doesn't rush into things and avoids upsetting the child. Which is great! Especially when it comes to those scary procedures. You can ask her anything. And she will take the time to explain it to you. Also I found, I had a previous Ped that I had. He was suppose to be examining a lump on my son. But he shrugged it off as nothing. I decided to switch Ped's, because my mothers intuition was telling me otherwise. So I ended up going to Dr. T. She went to all measures to looking into what the lump was on my son. Which in the end, ended up being something that needed tended too. She's a remarkable doctor! We glad and proud to call her our pediatrician! ;)  Respond

19/11/09 5 5 5 5 Dr K is theee best!! When faced with an emergency situation, we found ourselves in the care of Dr. K at Guelph General. She went above and beyond the call of duty, spending additional personal hours on our daughters' case. She took extreme measures to find the source of the problem, and not just a 'band-aid' for the symptoms. Sadly we've outgrown 'ped' care. It will be difficult to find a physician who 'measures-up'. Thanks Dr. K!!  Respond

06/05/09 4 5 5 4 Both my kids go to Dr. Thevathasan. She is great for taking time to listen to all of your concerns and answer all of your questions. I have never felt rushed - even when I arrived late to an appointment she was friendly, relaxed and took her time with us.  Respond

28/01/09 5 5 5 5 I used to go to another Ped. but switched my kids over to our family dr because they are now 11 and 13. My older one ended up very sick and my family doctor referred me to Dr. Thevathasan. I was worried since we had given up our ped. that I was very confident in and not sure what this one would be like. All my worries were for nothing. She is FANTASTIC!! I like her more than our old ped. Her office assistant is fantastic too! The kids love her. Giving a score of 5 just doesn't seem fitting they deserve a 10!  Respond

12/12/08 5 5 5 5 I was told that she just started her practice in Guelph. She is also attached to the Guelph General Hospital. Very knowledgable and extremely caring Physician. She takes a lot of pain and time to resolve issues with children. She does NOT rush things. Highly recommended by the Guelph Hospital Staff and she is also taking new patients. I will highly recommend her to any one seeking a good Pediatrician in and around Guelph.  Respond
