01/07/14 3 1 5 5 First: I've avoided finding a new family Doctor for a long time, because I have had bad luck with many GP's not being engaged with their patients. However, I realize that the ER is not an appropriate place to go for chronic conditions or for a check-up so I decided to find a physician accepting patients: I decided to go see Dr. Fawole and I was extremely happy that I did so. Initially I was a little turned off by the office because they told me that despite making an appointment it would be about a two hour wait; thankfully, I was brought in to see Dr. Fawole long before this wait time was up. Dr. Fawole was engaged, he listened to my concerns, and he gave me much relevant advice about my concerns. Additionally, he also ordered many tests and was quick to call back about my results. He is an exceptional Physician and I would bring my whole family to see him. I recommend him to anyone who actually wants a caring Doctor, and doesn't mind a little bit of a wait.

03/02/14 4 3 5 5 He is actually a very knowledgeable doctor, thorough and has a lot of patience for being so busy! Was never a fan of the health care system in Fort Mac, but he may have changed my mind  Respond

27/01/14 1 1 4 4 He is a very friendly doctor but very busy as all drs in fort mcmurray are, but you definitely need time if you want to see him. You do have to wait at least an hour to see him and no one ever answers the phone. His Filipino receptionist is ignorant and shouldn't be working at as a receptionist because she doesn't speak good English.

04/01/14 1 1 1 1 He's been my doctor for two years now since I've been in Fort McMurray. The front desk staff are very rude and they mess up my appts every time I book on. Just last week I was supposed to be booked with Fawole at 4:40, only to wait for almost three hours to be told that they booked me with anyalabechi and that dr fawole was gone home. When i finally did get to see him 2 weeks later he point blank cut me short and told me that he had other patients to deal with. Like others have mentioned, he doesn't seem to know how to read test results properly. All he kepy saying to me was the he didn't have any answers for me and that my situation was very complex. What ****!!! I am in the process of looking for a new doctor to say the least.  Respond

09/12/13 2 1 3 3 I'm currently seeing Dr.fawole for prenatal care. I have been going to him for five years and he has become less concerned with his family practice and more concerned with WCB. When going in for a appointment expect long wait times unless you were hurt at work because he will then cater to your needs. He separates his WCB patients from his regular patients and regardless of your appointment time he will see the WCB patients before you even if it means a two hour wait. When trying to book in for a appointment you are better off to go in because you will not get through by phone. If you are sick and it's a emergency go to the hospital or after hours clinic because you will probably not get in and if you do you'll likely have a lesser wait time at the er. He is a nice man but his priorities are no longer with his patients but with money. Unfortunately this is likely due to our shortage of doctors. Hopefully he stops taking new clients or cuts his appointments in half.m  Respond

03/10/13 1 1 4 4 Staff is not very helpful. Made me feel like more of a distraction from other duties then a client. Waited almost 2 hours to get in to see the doctor. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of choices in Ft. McMurray and this kind of service has become common place.

03/01/13 1 1 2 2 Dr fawole is more thorough then anyalbelechi when it comes to referrals and sending for tests but I don't think he understands how to read the results correctly or how to remedy problems. I'm 25 and had not cycled for a year, from an inconclusive ultrasound and a slightly high testosterone level he determined I could beer get pregnant, however he could bring back my cycle by putting me on birth control... Really?! By the way I am sitting here a year later with my 2 month old. She was a surprise- birth control, and condoms and the whole never being able to get pregnant thing. Without trying we have a sweet little baby.  Respond

26/03/12 1 3 5 5 Great Dorcot he has been my doctor for 5 years. Yep that old bat at reception is a COW every time and should be canned. However he is awsome and that limit of 2 issues is generally to weed out the one off patients in from out of town who feel the need to diagnoise there imaginary illnesses. He is a great listener and at the age of 45 and much pushing got me to go to regular mamograms (yeah!!)He is a good caring man doing his best to keep up with over population & routine no shows. Your going to wait everywhere why not wait for the best docotor in town~!!!  Respond

17/01/12 2 3 5 5 I read all the reviews of Dr. Fawole, I agree with the comments about the staff ignoring you, my wife and daughter both agreed with this. Yes puntualility is a problem in that office we have all experienced that also. With that aside though one of the reasons that he gets behind is that he takes time with his patients, we never feel rushed when we do see him. Patients going in and trying to get multiple diagnosis for them or their other family members is a problem and this really adds to extended patient visit times. They have tried to address that with limiting to two medical issues per patient but you can't please everyone. Now as a physician he has been excellent for my family, he is friendly and helpful and has a great sense of humor. He has been very thourough making sure all diagnostic tests are completed on time and reviews our history with us each time we visit. Yes the staff don't answer their phones and ignore you but Dr. Fawole is 100 percent in our opinion.  Respond

30/08/11 3 3 5 4 After my normal family doctor left me in a terrible situation, Dr. Fawole was kind enough to help me. Although he was uncomfortable renewing my prescriptions without my full history he still helped. He could have told me it wasn't his problem like the others but he didn't. |A rare doctor who is a human being first and a doctor second.  Respond

11/07/11 1 1 1 1 I am new to Fort McMurray & told by the hospital to see a doctor within a week for follow up for asthma, made an appointment with Dr. Fawle & found out the cost is $80, I wasn't in Alberta 3 months and didn't have my Alberta Health Card, would not take NS Health card. Their suggestion-cancel the appointment. The hospital took it,no problem! Made an appointment 3 mths later when I received my card, waited 2 hrs and felt rushed through the whole appointment, he would only address my prescription refills, had to make appointment for other issues a month later as he is going on vac. I felt so rushed I forgot to get a request for bloodwork which I require monthly due to one of my prescrip. I asked him to take my blood pressure, he reluctantly did but clearly he did not have time to address the many serious health issues I have. No problem refilling my serious prescription, no questions asked! His staff are RUDE! In particular the older lady at front. I waited two hours for this?  Respond

07/04/11 3 1 5 5 Sometimes his staff will ignore you when you come in. It's pretty rude, nobody likes to be kept waiting. I've waited up to three hours for my appointment in there. Learn to schedule!! The doctor himself was kind and helpful  Respond

30/03/11 4 3 3 3 I loved Dr.Fawole! I have been going to him for 2 years now, myself, my husband & our son. He was my doctor while i was pregnant and even though it was several months since I seen him the staff and Dr. Fawole always remember you and are very friendly. He had a well understanding of every medical reason I have went to him for.  Respond

28/03/11 2 1 1 1 Would absolutely not recommend this doctor! I willingly paid $88.90 to be eligible for a visit with him. I already knew my diagnosis, but believed a second opinion would be beneficial (because of reactions from the already prescribed medication). Though I told him what my diagnosis was he quickly handed me a prescription for antibiotics. I repeated that I already had medication, and then he said he had other patients that he must see - and walked away.  Respond

16/02/10 3 1 1 1 This doctor is always late. Expect to wait 40-60 minutes past your appointment time to actually see the doctor. When you do see him, he is hard to understand, does not seem confident in what he is talking about, dismisses your concerns without really explaining anything, and may use google to decide which medication to prescibe you (he did for me).  Respond

14/09/09 1 1 1 1 terrible visit. cause it is fort mcmurray had to wait a month and a half to see him. got there and was ignored...waited in the 'smaller' waiting room 45 mins. finally saw dr. fawole and he didn't know why i was there. they hadn't ordered my shot and recommended i come back and get twin rix shot at a later time. i know this shot is more costly than the hep shot that i was supposed to get prior to vacation. also tried to get a doctors note for work for an unrelated illness. i required the note the day of illness. they wouldn't book me in until 4 days later. work was compassionate...luckily. also called to cancel my appointment and they demanded 24 hour notice. said they would charge me $30 but they still don't have all my info...so good luck to them. lol.  Respond

18/08/09 2 1 2 4 I saw Dr. Fawole last week. The staff there pretty much ignored me for about 7 minutes while I stood at the desk waiting to check in. They answered several calls before asking if they could help me. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting area, they moved me to a room and I waited there another 10 minutes. When the doctor finally saw me, he prescribed my desired drug but didn't do a blood pressure test, like every other doctor I've seen with regards to this drug, which I thought was odd. He pretty much just wrote the prescription and then sent me out. I thought that Dr. Fawole was not very interested in my concerns, and that he was pushy. Ultimately, he did give me the prescription I required and seemed rather knowledgeable during the five minutes I saw him.  Respond

27/11/08 3 1 2 1 I saw this doctor for the majority of my pregnancy. He seemed to be confused and disorganized all the time, and never felt for position of the baby. He then sent me for an unneeded ultrasound at 34 weeks to determine positioning. I thought that perhaps it was just prenatal he stuggled with, but myself and my husband have been in to see him about other issues and he did not seem to very knowledgable. I had to advise him how to handle my thyroid condition. He also used Google to suggest a drug for my husband.  Respond

07/08/08 3 2 1 3 This physician seemed to be great at the first 2 visits but on our third one, when we had a few more things to deal with than just lab results and prescription renewals, he cut us off after 2 issues each (my husband and I go in together because a few of our issues cross over). No matter what your health problems, he informed us that he will only deal with 2 issues per patient per appointment. You better hope your third issue isn't life-threatening because he will NOT listen to you and may even ask you to leave his practice if you don't listen to him. It's unfortunate because there is a shortage of doctors and long waiting times to get in and here's a doctor who will not give patients the care they deserve.  Respond
