I found Dr. Milsom through my own research after I was told by my GI doc I needed a colectomy for dysplasia which was determined by my GI doc's pathologists. I have had chronic ulcerative colitis for 20 years. Dr. Milsom is brilliant. He is exceptionally conscientious and is always looking out for his patient's best interest. I am surrently under surveillance with him and no other surgeon will ever operate on me other than him if it is determined I need a colectomy in the future. He is compassionate and caring and his demeanor and reputation are second to none. You are guaranteed to be in the best of hands if he is caring for you.

Dr. Milsom was Godsent. He helped my sister when a Dr. in PA told her she had to live with her problem & nothing could be done for her. Dr. Milsom was wonderful. He saved her life. He is a wonderful surgeon with so much compassion for the human race. I can not say enough about this wonderful Dr. Without him I would not have my sister today. His office staf was absolutely wonderful, they fit her in when she came to NY. Dr. Milsoms understudies were absolutely wonderful as well. They all made us feel comfortable.

Dr. Milsom saved my life. Excellently leads his field - he is a premiere force in the advancement of laparoscopic abdominal surgery. After a torturous 7 years of colitis I only wish I had come to him sooner. I owe Dr. Milsom so much - I cry when I think of his skill and generosity and what he did for me. To think he's saved thousands of others - this man is a true angel on this earth.

I can only echo what everyone else said here. He literally gave me my life back after suffering with ulcerative colitis for 20 years. Nice guy, good sense of humor but most of all an excellent surgeon. As far as punctuality, compared to other doctor offices they are above average although its relative. Thanks Dr. Milsom!

I can't say enough to illustrate the excellence in both surgical skill and basic medical care that I experienced in the hands of Dr. Milsom. He moved mountains to perform my surgery in time for me to be well enough to be at my son's graduation. You can't find a better surgeon, or a nicer person.

Top man in colorectal surgery. He wrote the book. He is personable, knowledgeable, and one of the top doctors in this field. I interviewed eight and Drs. Milsom and Whelan were heads above the others in knowledge, technique, and dedication.

Certainly one of the best surgeons in the colorectal field. Very compasionate and friendly. A true life saver! Definetly worth the wait. However, since he stopped taking insurance we had to switch to his great partner.

Excellent - thoughtful, knowledgable, and personable. Only the lack of insurance acceptance is a problem; otherwise he's unbeatable.

Dr. Milsom is my hero! It's true that you will spend a lot of time in his waiting room, but he is very much worth the wait. He is a smart, compassionate and very nice man.

Dr. Milsom is the most wonderful surgeon that you could possibly imagine.(his specialty is colorectal). Not only is he a great surgeon, but he's compassionate and really listens to you. He's worth the (office time) wait - trust me!!
