10/05/14 2 1 2 3 I would not recommend this Chiropractor. There are many other chiros out there who are punctual and respect your time, don't make you watch promotional videos, and don't take part in awkward sales/up-selling practices. I felt very uncomfortable. Nice receptionist but I definitely won't go back. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.  Respond

11/03/14 3 2 1 1 Its been years since my experience with Dr. Trester and while on the surface I enjoyed it initially, the reasons I left are strikingly similar to those posted on this site. I was so put off by experience with Dr Trester, and the feeling that I was being "sold" into a life time commitment, that I was reluctant to try it again for years. I finished my initial program with Dr Trester which was 3x/week for several weeks, at which point I was made to watch sales video's about why and how I should convince my friends and family to sign up as well. THEN, just as I thought I would downgrade to a few times a month, I was recommended 2-3x/week for the for forseeable future.....which is pretty much what he's saying he never does. XRay wise, I was also very obviously "posed" for my follow up XRay, so that when compared to my first, it appeared my posture was more erect and straight while it was portrayed as "improvement" . I think that in itself justifies any skepticism regarding in house xrays.  Respond

06/03/14 3 1 3 4 Dr. Trester gives excellent adjustments (especially the neck) but is a pushy salesman selling his "package" and lifestyle. He tells you that chiropractic care will heal everything and do not immunize your kids even though they do not have kids. Would you let your kids play with another kid that had polio? Are you telling me a strong immune system will protect my child from whooping cough? Friggin kidding me?!? A toddler has no immune system and catches EVERYTHING!!! Have a kid first guys. Would you take your baby on an international flight not vaccinated? What if they got hurt and ended up in the hospital in Mexico unvaccinated?! Ridiculous. Try a few chiropractors before committing to one or you'll end up having to stay with the cult until your prepaid package is done.

05/12/13 1 2 1 1 I completely agree with the negative reviews posted here. This place is nothing but high-pressure sales that verge on, IMO, illegal. I came in once, was checked out and told I'd need a number of repeat visits, coincidentally exactly the same number as to use up my insurance allotment for the year. When I balked at this I was condescendingly told I was damaging my own health and it was all my fault. My first visit was so uncomfortable and awkward that I had no intention of returning. I've since gone to a real chiropractor who specialized in ART and he fixed my issue in four appointments, no pressure, and no desire to take me for everything I can spend.  See Responses

04/09/13 5 5 5 5 It's unfortunate to read the negative response below, but we can hardly sit by idly without responding to something that is just wrong. No one is intimidated into continuing treatments & to insinuate this occurs is false! All x-rays are done professionally so the fact they are taken in our office does not reduce their credibility whatsoever. The x-rays taken are all digital with the most up to date technology & highest standards & are NOT less credible because they are "done in house"! No one ever comes to our office for 3x per week for SEVERAL months, EVER!!! To make a false, misleading statement online anonymously is sure easy but hardly credible in itself. No one is given a recommendation to come 3x/week for that long. It might be for several WEEKS BUT NOT MONTHS & to say so is just outright wrong! If this person felt upset then tell us who it is themselves and help us resolve their situation in person with direct communication versus anonymous, false statements. Dr. Trester  Respond

03/09/13 4 2 1 2 There seems to be two sets of patients - those that support Dr. Trester's practice regularly and those that felt no improvement and scammed. I think Dr. Trester's fans appreciate the attention and regular visits. Asking to reduce visits creates a very tense environment where Dr. Trester will try to intimidate the patient into continuing treatments. It is also very difficult to get him to release xrays and files that you the patient havepaid for. Since xrays are done in house, I'm not sure how credible they are. Most other med staff will agree you don't need to see them 3x a week for several months in order to feel better. Get through your pain and find someone else.

19/02/13 4 1 2 2 Terrible, buyer beware. I feel stupid for using this guy...wasted money for minor improvement...yes I did the one or two exercises they told me to do. Like many others have stated...this guy cares about nothing other than making money. Check other chiros before you start wasting your money. Saw other chiro and got advice from a few more...all have said that you don't need to see them three times a week for several months in order to feel better. To sell you his garbage he will show you before and after xrays to go along with some crappy videos. Should have looked at reviews on him before I became a victim myself. I still talk to couple of the people that I met at his office while waiting lenghty times...all have stopped going there. RUN AWAY BEFORE YOU LOOSE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY...i feel so stupid for being ripped off.  See Responses

20/06/12 2 1 1 1 Reading the negative reviews on this site feels like a therapy session...I completely resonate with them and question the origin of the positive ratings. I have never had such a negative medical experience in my life. The high pressure sales (pressured me to pre-book a $497 package + another $150 in X-rays before he'd even touched my back), forced to watch cheesy mandatory videos from the 90's (infomercials about how great chiropractic is), the aloof attitude about how they are better than other chiropractors, disrespect for patients time (there's the time they tell you your appt is, and then the ACUTAL time they see you), the attitude Trester gives when you show an ounce of dissatisfaction. Oh, and the fact that after weeks of visits, I feel nothing...I've had much better, and more integral chiropractors in the past and I will be driving out of my way to see them instead. I wish I had given my 1K to a more deserving practitioner.

07/02/12 1 1 1 1 As a long time believer in the benefits of chiropractic care, I but Dr.Trester and his wife's style of fast talking, 'drive thru' chiropractic left nothing but a sour taste in my mouth, and a distincly light feeling in my wallet. Dr. Trester recommended identical treatment to my significant other and I, even though our medical histories and lifestyles were vastly different. I was usually in and out of his office within 10minutes, even though at times I waited up to 45minutes at appointments. They refused to release my files to my massage therapist, citing that he "Would not understand them", and although I called almost 10hrs in advance they would not waive cancellation notice fees, even though I was very ill. Be prepared for hefty fees, multiple appointments, and pressure by scarey videos and ominous warnings, and be aware you won't be able to cut ties with this office without a personal and unpleasent sit down meeting with Dr.Trester.

25/07/11 5 2 2 3 This office pressures you into buying multiple visits and a foam pillow. You'll often wait an hour for the Dr, shivering under a ceiling fan. Shalene is great, but often has to negotiate for Dr. Trester, her husband, who can be pushy. While he's knowledgable about general health and several of my adjustments went well, his ego is his downfall. Often my body wouldn't adjust so he'd try to force my spine into place, sometimes leaving me stiff and sore for days. When I mentioned this he told me to ice it. When I hesitated to continue treatments, Shalene called to refund me and end my treatment program, no discussion about how they could do a better job. Dr. T is competent but his impatient, money-focused bedside manner is repellant. Yet I still believe it's important to get kids in to see a good chiro before they're eight years old. That plus occasional tune ups is probably all people need. Asking a client to come 2 or 3x week for 14 weeks is just greedy. Especially in an ice cold office!  Respond

03/06/11 1 1 1 1 Reading the negative reviews on this doctor are like reading a journal envery of my own experience with him. I am glad that it doesn't take long for people so see how he runs his "business". By the way, I don't think it's a coincidence that all of the negative reviews score him very low, and all of the positive reviews score him 5 5 5 5. Guess who's writing all the positive review? Hint: same person, initials R.T. They all even sound like they're written by the same person. But just watch: someone's going to think they're smart now, and make the next + entry a little different and believable. Both Randall and his receptionist are friendly at first, until you sign onto a series of appointments. They make you feel that everything is very flexible, but you quickly learn how fake all the initial niceness was as soon as you want to change an appointment. (they make you pay for visit in advance so they always have something to hang over your head if you ever want to cancel something)  See Responses

06/05/11 5 5 5 5 I am a current patient of Dr. Trester's and I felt compelled to to write how I feel. I have actually been to his office and the experience is always incredible. Dr. Trester and his wife run the office with the utmost care and go out of their way to help me with my children. They are totally understanding and I really feel and know that they care about me. I can only say positive things about them both and their office because it is true. The chiropractic care itself is really great, but everything about the office is wonderful. Do yourself a favour and go there to experience it yourself. You will be glad you did. I am!  Respond

05/05/11 1 1 1 1 I met Dr. Randall Trester and his wife (receptionist) at the bellies to babies show and they seemed very nice at first (obviously)... I was pressured at that time to make an appointment, even though I did not know my schedule at the time. This obviously resulted in my having to reschedule... They are all about pressure and money, and are totally inflexible. After having to cancel my second appointment due to illness ( I am 8 1/2 months pregnant) he left me a rude, condescending message letting me know there will be no appointments available to me in the future...I didn't even make it to my consultation appointment, this was just over the phone...I'm glad I didn't go see him in the end, especially after reading all the negative ratings, which I now know are true. Do yourself a favour and find yourself a caring, understanding team, preferably by word of mouth, rather than peddling at a baby show. This man clearly only cares about filling his appoinment book rather than his patients.  Respond

18/03/11 5 5 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Trester's for a while and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I have been to other chiropractors over the years who were good but this is the best place. Their approach works and it's proven with the results.I was very impressed by his explanations and the fact that he did a thorough exam and x-ray before any treatment was done. My posture has improved, I sleep better, I have more energy and overall feel great. Dr. Trester and his wife, Shalene have been very helpful and make me feel at home. They have exceeded my expectations and have been very accomodating when needed. I am so glad I have followed the process and I plan to see Dr. Trester for help with my ongoing health needs. He's a great chiropractor, teacher, and listener. I tell everyone about my awesome chiropractor all the time.  Respond

13/03/11 1 1 1 1 Unfortunately, I think I wrote a great review of him on another site (and for his office too) during the time I first started going. That was before I dared to question the almighty doctor Randall. Notice how he talks in platitudes? It may seem like he's being personable and knowledgeable, but just try to interject any of your own thoughts into his diatribe and you'll see the real man. I went for a long time before I questioned the treatment plan and then it was like Jekyll and Hyde. He became extremely condescending. I left for good shortly after this and received the most passive aggressive "break-up" e-mail. If Randall or his wife are reading this I truly hope you guys take a long hard look at yourself and how you treat people. Eventually, people realize what you are up to and will leave. Perhaps you make so much $$$ anyway, that don't care. I suspect that's the case :/ There are better doctors out there, please find one if you care about yourself.  Respond

18/02/11 2 1 1 3 If you appreciate a dictatorial, paternalistic and authoritarian approach to chiropractic care, then Dr. Trester would be a great fit. If, however, you are like me and appreciate an environment in which you feel listened to, cared about, and more than just walking dollar sign, DO NOT visit this practice. My concerns, opinions and budgetary constraints were summarily dismissed, even though I am a fellow healthcare provider myself! The practice runs like a military operation, which is great if your doctor's efficiency, productivity and profit is your overwhelming concern. This environment is, however, NOT conducive to health and healing, and for that reason I would strongly recommend against considering this chiropractor as a caregiver.  Respond

01/02/11 1 1 1 1 Horrible experience! I can't believe I bought into his "maintenance" BS for 2 years! When it was finally time to leave... like a bad breakup, he tried to guilt trip me. I admit, he has the skills but his approach is terrible.  Respond

18/01/11 2 3 2 2 I would not go back to this chiropractic clinic, nor would I recommend them. Be prepared to sign on to a lengthy list of pre-scheduled appointments. I found Dr.Trester can be very condescending. I witnessed this condescending guilt ridden attitude toward an older man who said he would like take some time to think about whether or not he would like to purchase one of their orthopedic pillows! I was appalled. Be prepared for this same attitude if at any time you decide to stop with your never ending list of appointments. Be prepared to be put in a very stressful situation. The once friendly and talkative receptionist/wife turned insensitve and could care less about me. "Sorry you HAVE to schedule an appointment to come in and and talk to Dr.Trester before you're ALLOWED to stop coming to your appointments." An "obligation" they "forgot" to mention when handing you the lengthy list of appointments. In the end I found them to be very salesmen like.  Respond

24/09/10 3 1 1 1 I went to see Dr. Trester a few months ago and it was such a huge disappointment to me. He refused to give me an adjustment without me paying for numerous appointments first. It is part of the Hippocratic oath that doctors swear "I will keep them from harm and injustice"... Dr. Trester does not abide by this oath which is quite sad because he will not help those in need unless they have the money to back them up. His practice is a complete rip off without any benefits and I would not recommend him.

He makes his patient's his first priority and is ALWAYS happy to assist you in any way that he can. He taught me how to change my life habits so that I am able to be healthier. He always goes above and beyond anyone’s expectations. Dr. Trester has such a passion for life and helping others it's wonderful to just be around him. 09/08/10 3 1 2 2 I went to see Dr Trester because I was pregnant and understood that he specialized in this area. I was given a schedule of visits 3x per week for a 3 month period. This seemed excessive but I was concerned about my back and knew I would soon have a newborn and a toddler to take care of. I thought I would continue going until I felt better and then reduce the number of appointments. When I told him that I was not planning on coming to all 3 appointments one week he became agitated and demanded to know WHY. He also threatened that if I didn't keep all my appointments that this could affect the birth canal alignment and ability to give birth. I asked my OB who clarified that it was IMPOSSIBLE for him to make that diagnosis based on the info he had. When I called to cancel my remaining appointments the MOA replied that she would consult with the Dr. What?! I decided that Dr Trester had enough of my money and that seemed to be his primary interest in my mind. I would not go back.  Respond

13/07/10 4 1 2 2 Spent over 3 hours in 2 visits, most of the time spent waiting or watching chiropractic propaganda videos. During one of the visits I was the only one in the office to start, but at one point, he had over 10 patients waiting for him, many of them standing. He is well spoken and calm; however, it doesn't take very long to realize that this office is about making money fast. He made me feel comfortable to ask questions but I didn't have any for him. I don't doubt that he knows his stuff; however, I do doubt his methods for keeping clients. You WILL be guilted and pressured to staying with him for a very very long time with many regular visits. I didn't stay long enough to speak to the quality of care, but did I feel like I wanted to? Definitely not.  See Responses

05/12/09 4 1 2 2 A few incidents have made me really question this chiropractor. When given a brochure on vaccines I had a few questions/concerns to discuss, as much of what was presented in the brochure was VERY one sided. When I questioned/challenged this viewpoint I was told that I would have to make another appointment to discuss. I strongly believe that both sides should be presented for people to make an informed decision. Also, the the appointments are never on time - I often wait 30-45 minutes for an appointment that I had to schedual months in advance. Not acceptable. Along with my own, I have to agree with many of the other negative comments made. While I agree, I do feel momentary benefits from attending chiro I am left wondering if my time and money are worth it!  Respond

04/12/09 4 4 5 5 I went with a friend for her appointment and while sitting in the waiting room, started to chat the Shalene. I felt very comfortable there and decided to come in for s consultation. Its the best move I have ever made, I have suffered with lower back pain for 20years, and slowly he is helping me. He is a caring and kind soul. And you can't just rely on him to make you better, you HAVE to do exercises at home to strengthen your lower back. There are people who have mouthed negativity towards Dr.Trester, you'll get results if you walk in there with an open mind and without the attitude...GOOD LUCK  Respond
