31/12/13 3 5 5 5 Dr. Graham performed my appendectomy way back in 2006 at Rockyview. I am grateful to this day that he was able to complete the procedure laparoscopically so that I have no visible scaring and a rapid recovery. I was back at work a day later and able to complete a 320 km bike tour 6 days later. He was very upfront with information.  Respond

22/08/13 2 5 5 5 I went to emergency and was diagnosed with possible small bowel obstruction, fortunately for me I did not require surgery. I found Dr Graham to be very polite, respectful and unpretentious. Dr Graham advised me that he was going to refer me to another doctor for more testing.I was assured it would not take much time.I followed up with his office after 1 month and was advised they had forgotten to complete the referral.Still awaiting referral which is very stressful considering I still don't know what is wrong and don't want to experience the same pain as before.  Respond

16/07/12 4 5 5 5 Very impressed. Was refered by my GI doc who had high marks for Dr. Graham to help solve a problem. Dr. Graham conducted a number of tests and explained every process and result along the way. Very compassionate and helpful. Finally decided, along with the GI doc, to remove the gallbladder. Process was fast. Surgery was well explained. Other health care workers mentioned to me when they heard the surgery was being done by Dr. Graham that I had one of the best. Morning of surgery he put me at ease. Operation went without any issues. Recovery was literally painless (laprosccopy) and remarkable. I was released 4 hours after waking up and Dr. Graham came to visit me before I went home and told me what he found and how it went. The nurse watching me mentioned how nice it was for him to do that because many others don't. Nothing but the very best rating for this doctor. Skilled, polite, respectful, unpretentious, compassionate. This guy knows what he's doing.  Respond

15/12/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Graham is an excellent doctor; he is a very knowledgeable doctor that explains the problem and the healing process in terms we understand. He really made me feel comfortable right before the surgery, and he also came after to explain how it went and check on how I feel. I really feel fortunate to have him perform a surgery on me because not all doctors are as professional and caring as he is.  Respond

25/02/10 1 3 2 5 I developed a hematoma and post-op infection a few days following day surgery. I called Dr. Graham's office at 4:05 on the 7th day following surgery. Received voice mail and no means to reach a dr. offered. Went to emerg that eve, followed by visit to the hospital where surgery was performed to see infection specialist and set up home IV antibiotics. I called Dr. Graham while at the hospital AS DID THE HOSPITAL. As per usual, Dr. Graham's assistant ran interference. I received no return call. I experienced further problems and pain the following week. I called Dr. Graham. Again interference and the ass't tried to diagnose me and tell me what to do for pain. Told me Dr. Graham wsa anavailable until my app't 3 weeks out (5 weeks from surgery date) and she wouldn't allow me to see any other of their surgeons. She told me to see my family doctor!!! I left my #, asked to have the dr call me. No call. I really like John, great surgeon, but ass't and follow very poor.  Respond

29/01/10 5 5 5 5 Dr Graham was the surgeon on call when i wound up in the emergency room after a gall bladder surgery gone horribly wrong. He made me feel so comfortable, and quickly diagnosed the problem which turned out to be very serious. Even after my care was taken over by the surgeon who originally performed my surgery, Dr. Graham came to visit me in my hospital room to see how I was doing and checked up on me a couple times after that. I wish HE was the one who performed my surgery! If i ever need surgery again, I will be requesting him.  Respond

03/02/08 5 5 5 5 I was supposed to schedule surgery with Dr. Graham and although I opted not to go for surgery for my minor ailment, I am really impressed with the way he conducted himself, especially after dealing with family physician (who's a nice guy but sloppy and always in a hurry). Dr. Graham in comparison is a good listener and he validates your concerns. I felt at ease with him and he explained the procedure to me in detail and answered all my questions. He also gave me all my options. Finally, he made casual conversation, which came out very naturally making me feel even more comfortable with him. He is a consummate professional, a genuine individual, very respectful and clearly knows what he is doing. The staff was friendly as well.  Respond

The surgery was complicated, and he did a great job with no post-operative issues. All follow-ups were thorough and prompt. An excellent doctor whose office staff are also excellent and thorough.  Respond
