I've been impressed by Dr. Kaegi's humanity, kindness, knowledge and diagnostic skills since meeting him in 1994. I know that if I have an emergency, HE will see me, just as he sees anyone who has an emergency. When he's been late for my appointment, it's because he's seen someone with an emergency. The triage people are excellent; they know just what to ask in order to get needed information. The Physician's Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are as impressive as the Dr. Kaegi; they are able to handle my issues. The times that my problems have been more complex, they are sufficiently mature to say, "I need to run this by Dr. Kaegi to get his thoughts." And he has come into the examining room himself in response to their reports, most recently when I was having unpleasant side-effects from a medication that I needed to take. My phone calls to the office are returned promptly. I would like to have receptionists as pleasant as the rest of the staff.

Really good listener. Seems to care about patients. Does not rush visits. Right on with diagnosis I've had. His staff is very personable and helpful regarding requests for prescriptions and arranging appointments when quickness is needed.

Dr. Kaegi is an outstanding diagnostician and clinician, as well as being kind and caring. It is a sad commentary on today's healthcare system that he and his colleagues suffer from the decision to treat the everyone, regardless of ability to pay and are thus overstretched in this semi-rural community. As a result, phone calls too often go unreturned, physician assistants are the first line of care, and it can take five months and more to actually get an appointment with a physician in this practice.

I feel this doctor dosen't spend enpough time with his patients to help them well enough. I also think he under medicates cronic pain patients. He only dose very little for those who ask for help. I Feel like i'm being undermedicated for his own personal adgenda. I feel as a doctor who not only runs his own practie but also is the doctor for hospise cancer pepole i would not want that wrong with me as well. Because i don't or would be afraid that my pain would not be addresssed appropiately. I feel doctors are afraid to take care of there patients they way thay should because of state restictions but in the mean time. Those of use that need pain mangment have to suffer. I feel like i suffer on a daily basis because my doctor is afraid of medicating me the way i should be.Those of use who need help have too walk around in our own human agony with very little help or understanding.

Very short visits, long wait for appointment, does not seem to think much about my challenges and possible strategies for improving them. I believe his patient load is close to 1500 people, far too many IMHO.
