14/04/13 2 2 1 1 I write this rating after receiving a tearful and distraught phonecall from my daughter after attending her first visit with Dr.Bhargavan. After two minutes in the office he answered his cell phone and told the caller he would call right back as he was almost done with his current patient. He refused to answer questions about the side effects of the medication my daughter had been prescribed (or he did not have the knowledge) after an emergency hospital visit and being told by the Hospital she needed to be monitored by a physician. When she expressed concern about not getting the info she needed to make an informed decision about the drug she was presribed he said her 10 minutes was up and he didn't want her as a patient. He then preoceeded to take the prescription he had written from her and told her to leave not caring that she was in tears. We have launched a complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

05/06/12 3 4 4 5 I have been seeing Dr. Bhargavan since he took over practice for Dr. Ormstrom. I was a bit surprised to find out that I had a male Doctor but I have never found him to be rude or unhelpfull. He is always close to or on time. However if you don't want to be responsible for your own health problems then you really wouldn't like him. He won't give you the "Pill" to cure you unless that's what it takes. He will give you the tools to help you to help yourself. He is the kind of doctor that believes and strives to motivate you towards better health. Overall he is a mild spoken doctor who is willing to work with you in your long term goal to better health.  Respond

11/04/12 1 5 1 1 The worse doctor I've seen, in a hurry to rush me out of the office before the problem is resolved and missed 2 on 2 bllod test that my bllod sugar was at 16 I had to find out from the hospital in Mission the reason I am so sick coz I am diabetic. When he checked my last 2 blood test, good thing I didn't die from a diabetic coma..  Respond

08/03/12 5 3 4 5 I am surprised at the other 2 reviews. I have been seeing this doctor since 2007 and he provides good thorough exams. My son is autistic and he was kind and helpful to him. He provides referrals to specialist when he requires a 2nd advice and my only complaint used to be the wait time but he's managing his time much better now.  Respond

05/02/12 3 5 1 3 Wants to get rid of you as fast as possible. Walks out on you when you are still talking to him. Rude and arrogant.  Respond

12/01/12 4 4 5 5 My family and I have been seeing Dr. Bhargavan for the past year and we think he is just great! He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Coming from a province where we couldn't get a family doctor, we are very happy to have him as ours here in BC.  Respond

23/11/11 3 4 1 1 I don't think he has any clue as to what he doing. He tells me he can not help me with my problem??? My question is why the hell are you a doctor when you can't figure out what's wrong with your patient, just in it for money??? people like him shouldn't be a doctor.  Respond

07/10/11 3 3 1 1 This doctor was very arrogant and rude to me. He refused to see my son because he didn't "feel comfortable" with autism, and he walked out on us after 1 minute. He shouldn't get paid for that visit.  Respond

27/07/10 1 2 3 1 Dr. B. is an average doctor with a very poor back up staff. If you need a specialist apt. The never phone you and tell you when it is. I have missed several specialist apts. because of this.  Respond

09/04/10 1 3 2 2 His front office staff are very unprofessional, they don't care to keep commitments to call you back, treat you as a statistic despite being a patient there for 6 years now. The record keeping leaves much room for improvement, not all information collected gets put in data base. I gets a sense that some categories of people are more valued as clients than others- a preferential treatment of sort. I am looking for another family GP! And I am not the only one.  Respond

10/02/10 1 2 1 2 He was upset that I used drop in clinics and almost refused to help me even though my family has used this clinic for years under a different doctor. VERY unhelpful. Very disrespectful.  Respond

14/01/09 5 3 5 5 I have moved around a lot, I have seen many different doctors. I have many health issues, my children also need to be seen regualarly. He is sometimes falling behind, but that goes hand in hand with him taking his time, giving you his attention and doing everything he can to help find a workable solution. If he can't help he always found someone who can. He is reliable and I put my thrust in him. His staff is incredile, friendly and helpful. I found that they are an amazing support and make specialist referal and other clerical task such as forms or billing an easyu process. One must remember the mamn is human and might have a bad day here and there, a personal crisis is affecting him, his mood. Allowing for humanity in any one makes life a lot less troublesome. I already recommended him to friends without hesitation.  Respond

15/12/08 5 4 5 5 Probably the most intelligent doctor out there. I wish he would spend a little more time explaining things to his patients to make them feel engaged in their treatments. He is very knowledgeable.  Respond

19/09/08 3 3 4 4 I understand why some have made negative comments, I too have been very angry at Dr B at times when I felt dismissed by him. However, in the end when we really needed him during a medical crisis he came through, he was attentive and competent, even sensitive. He reviewed the problem list and asked for patient and family input daily. My faith in his skill has been restored.  Respond

11/12/07 4 4 5 5 very organized! very informative. takes time to explain in detailed layman language. I have had lots of trouble finding the correct dose of thyroid hormone. He stuck with the problem and was not reluctant to continue testing until a solution was reached. Hope he hangs around. i'm tired of losing drs to emerg! nice office staff!...finally!  Respond

19/11/07 3 2 2 2 As stated by previous patient...wait is too long. Minimum 30 minutes everytime we have gone. He was rude, condecending and non-informative, as well as pre-occupied as during the last two visits he has taken a call from his cel phone. The first time he actually had to leave the room with his cel phone halfway through the visit, and the second time it was about 2 minutes into the visit and he got a personal call that was unrelated to his job as I could hear the conversation. During his cel phone chat he was very pleasent and smily to whomever he was speaking with. And upon returning to his consultation with me went back to being as stated previously. I doubt that I will go back, and would not recommend him as his bedside manner and communication as presented to me is definately lacking. He may do better with a phone in consultation service.  Respond

23/08/07 4 1 2 2 makes you wait too long when no on else is even in the waiting room. 20 - 30 minutes with an empty waiting room.  Respond

20/08/07 5 5 1 2 Interesting what the other 2 posters have written. This is not the kind of experience I had with Dr. Bhargavan. I saw him at a walk-in clinic. Although there was no one there at the time, so the clinic was quiet, Dr. Bhargavan was completely disinterested in my problem, and was not interested in helping me. He asked me a couple of questions, didn't appear to be interested in my answers, and didn't examine me at all. Weird. As a matter of fact, at the end, when I was answering a question he asked, he walked out of the exam room and went to his office. I did get the prescription I asked for, but only because I had a friend with me who advocated on my behalf because I was in too much pain to be able to think clearly. Not someone I would recommend for walk-in clinic patients. Also, he was very unknowledgebale about the medical condition that I suffer from. He actually told me that this condition does not cause pain. Huh? I think he could benefit from some professional developement.  Respond

21/03/07 4 5 5 This Dr always takes his time to explain things to me and to answer any questions I have. He doesn't waste time in sending you for tests and/or to specialists. He's knowledgable, friendly and I believe he genuinely cares for his patients.  Respond

17/03/07 4 5 5 Extremely patient and kind. Never rushes me out of there. Spends lots of time giving detailed answers. Never seems annoyed by having to explain in laymen terms. Lovely to my kids. I feel like I can tell him anything.  Respond
