:) Click to report rating    12/29/09 5 5 5 We are very thankful to have Dr.Acheson in this community and we will be in a great deal of trouble when he and his fellow physicians retire. He does not throw out any answer to get out out of his office and most of the time the problems with getting referrals to different specialists take time, not dr.A's fault but the other dr's offices. Our medicare system is in shambles and tests, consultations take longer than expected. FYI people complaining about not getting their prescriptions faxed in, he does not fax them in. You are responsible to go to his office and pick them up. If you are so concerned about your medication you should know what you need when you need it and book an appointment before it's due. We're all adults here, so take responsability for yourself. Kudos to Dr.acheson and his staff.. Thank you!!!

:| Click to report rating    11/23/09 1 2 3 Very limited hours, no answering machine and a fax machine that's off when the office is closed. I'm still not sure how patient's are ever able to set up appointments!

:| Click to report rating    5/27/09 1 4 2 Dr. Acheson has great bedside manners, but his new secretary should be fired she never answers the phone, never sends referals in for specialists (ongoing for a year now with two small children needing the referals), she is unhelpful and lazy. Youare unable to get in to see the Doctor if it is an emergency. Appointments are never made or severly important medications are never called in to the pharmacy. Unfortunetly the doctor suffers for poor staff. Perfect 5 in all accounts if the secretary was gone.

:) Click to report rating    2/2/09 5 5 5 Dr. Acheson is a great Dr. People often forget how many patients this kind docotor cares for. 2-3 weeks for an appointment is not bad. If a child had a problem he will see them promptly. He takes time to listen to each patient with their concerns or general chit, chat. His office staff are always pleasant & easy to deal with. They try to go the extra mile helping the patients. Yes, I do admit sometimes it is hard to reach the office, but you have to consider the ammount of people that call during the day. I went there one day a while back and his secretary was running her feet off answering the phones and also placing the patients in the rooms. What more could a person ask for. I think that Dr. Acheson is great and his patients should be thankful that they have him as their family doctor. If you don't like him, maybe you should find another Dr. that is accepting new patients. By the way, Good Luck with that!!!

:) Click to report rating *  9/6/07 5 5 5 Dr Acheson is an awesome doctor. He has been my doctor for 17 years and I can not say enough good about him. I moved and still kept him as my doctor as I feel I could not get the awesome attention and compassion from another doctor that I get from him. If there was a course that was taught to the new doctors about making your patient feel comfy in the office and put your trust in them, Dr Acheson should teach it. My brother moved away 9 years ago and my parents moved 6 years ago and when I go in he asks me about them and how they are doing, what doctor still wants to know about previous patients. The office staff and nurse are great.

He takes the time I need when discussion is required and my son trusts him more than he trusts most people.

:) Click to report rating    3/17/07 5 5 I always found Dr Acheson most helpful and compassionate. He was very willing to seek a second opinion or specialized doctors or tests to further treat or find help for the problem. An A-1 doctor that I would highly recommend !!!
