21/06/14 5 5 5 5 Dr. Fischer has moved to her new office in Boynton Beach. I have been a patient of hers for nearly 10 years. After visiting Dr. Fischer in her new office, it is apparent that the problems identified by most surveys were related to her support staff at the Lake Worth office. I agree totally. Her staff was a nightmare, especially Ron the manager. That has all changed for the better. She is in a practice with many other doctors and the support staff is amazing. AND...no glass window! (you know what I mean!) I was called for my appointment 5 minutes early. You now are interviewed by an intern prior to meeting with the doctor. When you meet with the doctor, she now has all of that information and is ready to meet with your. Having a new support staff has changed her whole demeanor. She is relaxed and the absence of stress is apparent on her face. If you were a patient of hers in the past and were turned off by the office staff, give her another try. You will be amazed!  Respond

02/04/14 1 1 1 1 Dr. Diana Fischer has to be the worst psychiatrist I have had to deal with in my over 25+ years of seeking treatment. Her office staff (Judith, Ron) was rude and inefficient. It was norm to have to wait to see her for 3+ hrs. I actually witnessed one of her patients in July 2013 have a meltdown in her waiting room and callous way she was treated by Dr. Fischer. I was charged my usual $20 copayment by Judith on 11/6/13 only to find out when I entered that Dr. Fischer was not even there and her Office Manager Ron saw me! I am still trying to recoup my $20 copayment! Never got my medication, had to see another psychiatrist! She never came up to the Psych Ward or even called me after my suicide attempt on 6/11/13! She has now suddenly transferred her office to 8200 Jog Road, Suite 100, Boynton Beach, FL 33437 tel. 561-752-9490 as of 3/24/14. BUYER BEWARE!

13/06/13 1 1 1 1 Probably the worst staff on the planet. Very insulting. The male office secretary, Ron Hochstadt, asked me out on a date the first time I went there. I was with my kids and had my wedding ring on. He made me feel so uncomfortable. I smelt alcohol on his breath. I will NEVER go back.

24/10/11 5 5 5 5 Over the 4 years of our acquaintance I have found Dr Fischer to be compassionate, intelligent, concise and very helpful. As a social worker and depressive, I have had contact with a very large number of psychiatrists and am glad to know one who is both unpretentious and caring. I never wait long to see her. Those who hate to wait can always call ahead to find out how late she is running and adjust their arrival time accordingly. Even the mentally ill can take this little bit of responsibility to manage their own time. Emergencies abound in the field of psychiatry and this must be considered and respected. No one needs to sit there and wait if he or she doesn't want to. Also, if you need to talk see a therapist, clinical psychologist or social worker. It is not the role of a psychiatrist to sit and listen to all of our problems. She evaluated me and made her recommendations, as it should be. Patients do not dictate their own diagnoses, medications or prescriptions to a doctor.  See Responses

25/06/11 1 1 1 2 Dr. Fischer is one of the worst doctors I have ever had. What separates her from my other doctors is that she is the only physician I ever had who got bent out of shape when I presented her with a list of the medications I was taking. Her so-called reasoning was that I was supposed to know that she wanted to talk to the patient a little first, before I presented her with my documentation. Aside from that, she is the only doctor I ever had who made me go off the medication cold-turkey! She refused to keep me on as a patient, because I was unable to make it from Boca Raton to West Palm Beach in fifteen minutes to see the psychologist that she hand-picked for me!! (I got off work at 3:45 pm in Boca and that psychologist's last appointment was at 4:00 pm in West Palm Beach. Driving that distance would have required a minimum of 30 minutes--depending upon traffic!)

28/01/11 1 1 2 2 Waited almost an hour; Not very impressive as a psychiatrist; Not a very nice office. Overcharged me for the deductible, but numerous phone calls are not responded to by the "office manager," if he really does exist. If you can go elsewhere, that would be a good idea.

14/10/10 1 1 1 2 It's hard to summarize my experience with "Dr." Fisher in the 1000 character limit allowed but the important things to cover are the receptionist has always been rude, seldom answers the phone, has a "do not knock on glass" sign so when you are sitting an hour past your scheduled appointment time there is no way to make contact to ask for an estimated time frame, does not confirm appointments the day prior, does not return phone calls. An appointment was missed due to miscommunication (which could have been avoided if we had a appointment reminder). This resulted in our daughter needing a refill for the medications however the doctor's office did not contact us and did not approve the refill when the pharmacy faxed over the request. Over the next 3 days we called and were put on hold for over 8 minutes, we would hang up and call back to get no answer. Medication withdrawal caused our daughter to suffer sickness and uncontrollable emotional "waves" which Dr. did not care about  Respond

05/10/10 1 1 1 1 A nasty cold hearted woman.Very short & she cuts you off when you try to speak to her.She see's you for 10 minutes & never gets to know who you are. She's just a revolving door for drug dispensing.Don't let the door hit you in the ass!I went to her for help with depression because I attempted suicide.I still need help & I am looking for a good Dr.She isn't fit to be a Dr because she has no social skill and lacks compassion for her patients needs. She does not care if you need help. When I go into her office I feel like I'm on trial.Forget about getting help from her.I am still suffering from major depression & for all I know she has me on the wrong meds.I am still so down that suicide still crosses my mind. She will not help you when you feel this low.She will not help you if you need paperwork stating that you need help and are incapable to work & function in life.I just want to get better & get back to living a normal life.I want to give up most days.Stay far away from her. She's poison!  Respond

04/09/10 4 4 5 4 I think most of these reviews are coming from people with some issues dealing with things so keep that in mind. I am very surprised to see so many who are leaving bad reviews. I find her very easy to talk to compared to most doctors- she is never rude or talks down to me. In fact I recieve tons of encouragement and insight from our dialogue. She has put up with refill requests after I have skipped visits because of extreme work demands. I have also had a crisis of sorts that she helped me with. I can say that my boss, employees, family, girlfriend and myself really are alot better off after the work she has done with me. She is not your typical doctor and that is probably why people have something against her. I am very thankful I lucked out and found her!

14/04/10 2 1 1 1 I have never ever rated a doctor before, but I feel that I must do so. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL. I WAITING 1-1/2 HR TO SEE HER. I SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION & PANIC ATTACKS. I AM A VERY WARM PERSON. THAT WOMAN HAD THE WORST BED SIDE MANNERS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I CANNOT FORGET THE LOOK ON HER FACE. SHE DID NOT HAVE MY RECORDS TO TELL ME I MIGHT BE BI-POLAR. I THINK SHE IS... EVEN THOUGH I TAKE MEDICATION, I AM BY FAR MORE SANE THAN HER. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. PLEASE FIND SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS YOU AND IS COMPANIONATE, NOT A COLD "B" LIKE HER. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY PRIOR DOCTOR WHO I ADORE, BUT HER HOURS DO NOT COORDINATE WITH MINE. I TOLD THE RECEPTIONIST NOT TO RELEASE BY RECORDS TO HER AND TOLD HER ABOUT BY EXPERIENCE AND SHE FLAT TOLD ME SHE IS A WACCO... GO FIGURE THAT OUT. SHE NEEDS TREATMENT. I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT AND NOT ATTEMPT TO EVEN SEE HER. THIS IS FROM THE HEART AND DO NOT WISH THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT TO ANYONE. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH.

30/10/09 1 1 1 1 I have left 4 messages with the incompitent office staff to send me medical records which I am entitled to have have sent a records release form. No reply. They do not apologize for not returning calls or for their lack of professionalism. They keep telling me I need to speak to the Dr. and she has yet to return any calls. I am trying to change Dr's because she is absolutely terrible. She throws meds and my teenager for her mild ADHD instead of therapy only spends 5 minutes with her after we wait over an hour. and I don't understand who that strange man is who walks around the office in torn jeans and a handle bar mustache. But he makes the visit even more frightening. When I have actually spoken her on the phone regarding her unattentive staff and my unhappiness with her service, she accused me of being bi-polar...Perhaps this is how she recruits new patients. Avoid this quack at all cost!!!!!!!  Respond

05/10/09 1 1 1 1 I have had a history of severe panic attacks for 14 years and have seen my share of psychiatrists. Dr. Fischer was the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. I was having a panic attack one day and was having a little trouble getting to her office. She suggested my mother commit me. You have to wait atleast 2 hours in her waiting room before being seen. She is NEVER ontime. She either wants to over-medicate you or accuse you of being a drug addict. She is a disgusting human being.  Respond

22/01/09 2 1 1 1 Don't waste your time and money! I was not impressed with her handling my daughter's issues...actually Fischer didn't want to handle the issue just medicate the issues! When I basically told Dr. Fischer I don't want to "just medicate" the issue, it also needs to be psychologically addressed in order to help my daughter. Dr. Fischer told me my daughter didn't need her services and sent us on our way. Since that last visit, another physican has helped us and we discovered our daughter is Bi-polar/manic depressive due to post tramatic issues. All Fischer wants to do is hand out drugs and not deal with the issues. The drugs she gave my daughter was the wrong drug...if Dr. Fischer dealt with the issues properly, maybe my daughter would have been given the right medications and getting on the right track! This so-call doctor just wants your money and nothing more!

19/01/09 1 1 1 1 I wish this rating system had a "zero." I should have done my research and would have never subjected myself to this doctor's mental abuse. I left crying and shaking, feeling judged and not listened to. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in my life. Dr. Fischer was absolutely convinced I was Bipolar not because of my symptoms which she didn't even seem to hear, but because my father is bipolar. I am not my father. I have GAD and OCD not bipolar. Dr. Fischer recommended electroconvulsive therapy and anti-psychotics! I think Dr. Fischer is a sadistic person with a massive God complex. When I objected to why I thought her diagnosis was wrong, she bragged about Yale. Dr. Fischer is cold, uncaring and does not listen to her patients. Her appearance looked very unprofessional and she appears almost catatonic. She didn't smile or shake hands. She could inspire a horror novel. She also accused me of dr. shopping for saying Xanax XR helps me. Just STAY AWAY!

13/01/09 1 1 1 1 I was referred to this Dr. by good samaritan. She is not knowledgable at all. Is very quick to write you a prescription that you may not need. She had me on so many different med's for OCD, Depression when I only needed it for ADD. I felt like a zombie, and when I would go back and tell her, she seems to be in her own world, she doesnt listen and give feedback and she rush's you out of her office. The max time she will see a patient is 5mins. I was so upset and changed Dr.s after the 4th visit. The new Dr. that I chose was very upset she had me on the med's she prescribed especially without any blood work being done. This Dr. is going to kill somebody with all the meds she prescribes. I believe she's on them herself she's so spacey and cold.

19/08/08 1 1 1 1 First, Dr. Fischer neglected to do a background history on me during my consultation first appt. She behaved with complete unprofessionalism. Luckily I was stable going into her office and was looking for a doctor to maintain my wellness. I feel bad for those that go to her feeling sick and unstable and seeking help from her because they will receive the opposite. They most likely will not get the help they rightfully deserve when going to her for psychiatric care. In fact they will leave feeling worse than when they arrived. I left her office feeling demeaned, attacked/harrassed, and most of all not helped by her, which is why I made my appointment in the first place. She is practicing with a lack of medical professional with her other patients as well. Read the other reviews. I would stay clear away from her. She is not in her field to help others. She has a serious problem and I hope it is addressed so that she doesn't continue to behave in this manner with other vulnerabl  Respond

31/07/08 1 1 1 1 Dear Madam/Sir, I am a licensed clinical social worker and need to inform you that this doctor (Diana Fischer) harassed my client so badly that it took three sessions to reverse the damage. She made my client feel shame and guilt for her depression and indirectly blamed her for her condition. She made her feel frightened that she needed medication and discussed openly my client's condition in the waiting area. I plan to make a formal complaint to the Florida Department of Health. Thank you,   Respond

03/04/08 4 1 1 1 I went in to see her for the first time and by the time that she was finished with me, I was ready to commit suicide!! I would never actually do it, but she was so rude and belittled me and basically called me a piece of crap! I will NEVER see her again or recommend her to anyone! Dr. Fischer you are a rude, thoughless, careless and a very mean person!!! I wish that I had never met you!!!! I wish that I could call my insurance company and request that you not be paid and tell them about you so that noone else goes to you! 01/07/07 1 1 1 1 A horrible psychiatrist. The other reviews are right on. If you go to her already, just know that there really are caring doctors out there. Don't be afraid to switch. Some people should NOT be in this business. They are supposed to help people. This woman gave me zero help. If anything, she upset me with her attitude. I sent her a check in the mail for payment on a Monday. It was CASHED on the next day. She must of received it and ran to the bank. She probably needs the money. I am being completely honest here and not trying to be nasty, but she should not be a psychiatrist. She is not a likeable person. She seems judgemental, cold and made some assumptions with me that were very far off. She hired this super bubbly, friendly receptionist to probably try to distract from how nasty she is. I ended up paying about $10 a minute to speak to her. I walked out in worse shape than I had gone in in. I would love to know how many patients she actually has/keeps. I am sure it is very few.  Respond

06/04/07 1 1 1 Awful. I had LOTS of problems with the meds she put me on and she made no changes when I told her of problems, hardly seemed to listen after the first appointment. On my third visit I informed her of suicidal intent with a plan. She just shrugged it off. I went home and attempted several days later and when my therapist found out, she could NOT get a hold of Dr. Fischer to get me admitted to the hospital for TWO days!!! Finally, Dr. Fischer called me, but I wouldnt talk to her, and she STILL didn't call my therapist back. I subsequently spent two months in the psych hospital and PROMPTLY found a new doctor who listened to me and changed my meds. I found her to be a HORRIBLE psychiatrist. And yes, she had a miserable scowl on her face the whole time like the other person said, although she was ontime for my appointments, like that mattered much in the long run.

29/03/07 1 1 1 She was the absolute WORST psychiatrist I have ever been to. Unfortunately, I have been to several in my life. She had a scowl on her face the entire time. She was running an hour late and the person before me waiting just walked out. Before walking out he said to me "Good Luck". I soon understood what he meant. She talked to me for not even 20 minutes & it was supposed to be an hr.-hr 1/2 initial consultation. She was snippy & it was the first time I had ever even met her. You would think she would want to actually keep clients. I should have known something was wrong when I called & they could get me in the next day. Most psy. have months long waiting lists. She probably doesn't have many clients. I can't imagine anyone wanting to see her as their dr. I was forwarned by several not to go to her, but I kept an open mind & decided to give it a try. I really needed help. She never even asked what my diagosis was but yet she was telling me what meds she would put me on. Stay FAR AWAY!  Respond
