I was in search of a good OB/GYN after having abnormal paps and wanting answering. I read some reviews of Dr Estella and decided to see her. I called to make and apt and was told that shes booked for months! I stuck with her and made the apt. The person on the phone asked what the issue was and I told her and I also told her how disapointed Ive been with my previous Dr. She put me on hold and the Dr came on the phone! Real, live Dr and Im not even a pateint yet! She was able to give a quick diagnosis over the phone. Just from my symptoms. Tests later confirmed she was correct. She was very pleasant and informative. She gave me options for treatment and left the decision up to me. Overall great experience. I have since transfered care to her permanently.

Dr Estella has been my gyn doctor for 3 years and I have always felt very comfortable with her. She takes her time to answer my questions and I have never felt rushed or stupid no matter whatever questions I have. My husband and me were so dissapointed to find out that she was not doing ob anymore. I would have felt so much better if she was my ob doctor. Her staff have always been so helpful..whether its a prescription refill of a problem that I am having. They always call before the end of the day and I have never been kept waiting for longer than 1 hr for appts and thats usually if she is delivering a baby. Her nurse has always been helpful She has had two wonderful nurses. Tammy and Pooja. I think Tammy left but I was so relived to hear that Pooja was back. Her front staff is much better that before. I did have a problem with ther biller but I guess you can't everything in one office.Dr Estella I hope you decide to start doing ob again. For gyn care I would highly recommend her..

Dr Estella just delivered my son on 9/29/08. I have worked with her as a maternity nurse for the past three years, but she has been my OBGYN as well, and I think she is great! I had a wonderful experience in the delivery room, she did a great job. I am going to miss her when she stops practicing OB not only as a patient but as a nurse as well!

Dr. Estella is fantastic. She is very smart and good at what she does. For those who complain about her bedside manner I feel like you want this touchy feely experience and that just isn't her. However, her staff is terrible. She had a nurse Tammy who was WONDERFUL but I think she left. I am sad Dr. Estella is going to stop delivering babies.

I transferred to Dr. Estella because I found out I was pregnant with twins and she had twins herself and came highly recommended. Her manner was very cold and I could NEVER get her on the phone, I was forever talking thru a nurse...litterally sometimes I'd be on the phone with the nurse while the nurse was asking the dr questions, it made no sense. I ended up with pre-term labor and pre-eclampisa and the dr was so blaise about my pregnancy concernsand finally when another dr on call saw me, she sent me right off to Tufts to be on hospital bedrest...yet Dr Estella's office kept calling to see if I would be in for my appointments (um, no I'm on hospital bedrest). One of her receptionists is downright rude as well. I loved her associate Dr. Barbie, but she left halfway through my pregnancy and I think Estella had WAY too many patients to give individualized care. Will not go back when I get pregnant again!

I chose Dr. Estella for her surgical and GYN expertise. She is calm in demeanor extremely skilled, and very responsive. When an abnormality was detected in my baseline mammogram she personally phoned me to talk through my options and next steps. Refills and medication needs are met promptly and without red tape. When delivering babies there is always a chance of an OB/GYN running late. Rarely have I had to wait longer than 15 minutes and I've been a patient for 8 years. Her personality is very calm, she can put your fears to rest, she has the expertise and training that gives you confidence. She's easy to talk to, open in her response, and willing to hear your concerns as well as input. She is the one I refer my family and friends to. A+

I have nothing ill to say about Dr. Estella and have much respect for her. Her billing and reception however have disappointed me greatly. I am not sure I can continue going to an office that has messed up my bill so bad I paid for my visit out of pocket!

My baby girl was born in May. I don't like the people in drs office or the doctor. I have to wait a long time in the office. I wanted to have an epidural and she talked me out of it until it was to much pain. I am looking for a new doctor for this baby

I am so happy that i found Dr EStella, she is the most compationate doctor i have ever had. she truly cares. i actually switched to her while i was preg. with my first she was great understanding. very informaitive. she explains everything. she is gental. she just turly cares.. she will anwser any questions you have and take the time you need with her. i have even called the after hours line with concerns and she always is great. she is such an amazing dr. and i truly feel luck to have her delivering my second child. she is truly a one of a kind doctor in this day and age. i have to say one of the things i read in here about her that are bad. i just cant believe that those things happened to them.. maybe she was having a bad day but i have never had a problem.. in the 3 years i have been seeing her..i would send anyone i know to her..

I can't believe how lucky I was to find Dr. Estella! She was incredible. I was pregnant with my 4th child; high risk w/ complications and Dr. Estella showed me more compassion than I ever dreamed imaginable from a doctor. She was right on with everything. Tests, procedures, results, etc. She called me at home many times during another difficult pregnancy which ended in a miscarriage. She met me at the hospital and comforted me. I can't say enough good things about her. She has a lot on her plate, I'm sure, but she never once failed me as my doctor. There were times I had to wait a long time (a 3pm appt. turned into a 4pm appt) but she was delivering a baby; it's understandable when your doctor is on call and works in the hospital. especially someone w/ her title and responsibilities.

Dr. Estella is the female Dr.House as far as personality-she has no bedside manner what-so-ever. I think she has taken on too many patients and not sure who is who. I ask for a renewal on my presciption and she said I needed to ask the Dr. who prescibed it - she prescibed it. She also told me I needed to start birth control - she is the one who put me on it 3 months ago and increased it the week before. Her office charged me $25 co-pay just to sign the pre-op paper - I never saw the doctor. She relys too much on what books say instead of patients. She claimed I had nothing wrong with me gynecologically but I asked her to check laproscopically a 1 hour procedure turned into a 4 hour surgery due to all the problems. I have the pain back due to cyct and she never returned call after ultrasound. I am now in search of a doctor that will listen to what is wrong with me not what is text book and help me with the pain I am in. I think she just likes to deliver babies

Dr. Estella was my OB for my pregnancy with my daughter. She was AMAZING! Extremely helpful, calm, knowledgeable, reassuring etc. Toward the end of my pregnancy I ran into some complications which Dr. Estella immediately picked up on (even though I presented atypically) and ended up with a C Section at NEMC, my biggest disappointment was that Dr. Estella didn't deliver our daughter.

I waited a bit for her because a new mom had stopped by to show off her baby. It's always difficult starting over with a new GYN, but Dr. Estella made me feel very comfortable (even warmed the instruments). She didn't rush me, took time to answer my questions and was very pleasant. She came highly recommended and I can see why. I'm sure, like any of us, she has her busier days seeing she's Chief OB/GYN at Lowell General. I highly recommend her!

Not an easy office or doctor to deal with. Associate is wonderful, but unfortunately you have to deal with dr e as well as her less that helpful staff, so I feel bad for associate I agree with the previous post as the same is being done to me, but I have sought out my own referral, and not going to her recommendation

I recently transferred my OBGYN(pregnant) care from HVMC Burlington to Dr. Estella and her staff was pleasant she was very knowlegable and spent 1 hour answering all of my questions. I didnt feel rushed at all. I would definetly recommend Dr. Estella

I visited Dr. Nonnie Estella for my first pelvic exam. She was very patient and explained everything before or during the exam. I felt very comfortable asking her my questions which she answered professionally and fully. I returned for my second annual exam and again she was very helpful and personable. I never felt rushed. The front office staff was very friendly.

In my opinion, I've rated this doctor somewhere in the middle as related to my overall experience of care for my pregnancy. I can not give an opinion on delivery care, since this doctor did not deliver my baby. I rated this doctor a 2 for helpfulness because of my experience related to a pregnancy complication and also for unnecessary, bad-mannered comments to a question I had.

Wouldn't reccommend her. Got REALLY sick during my pregnancy and she wasn't helpful at all. Tests showed that I needed fluids because I was dehydrated and she wouldn't let me get them through an IV. She said to do it myself. Therfore I was at wrok, throwing up, drinking gatorade and trying not to faint I was so weak. Would definatley try another doctor if you think you'll have complications during your pregnancy.

Dr Nonnie Estella is a graduate from John Hopkins, and is currently the head of OBGYN in Lowell General. She is probably the best doctor in our times, and excels in manifesting her profound knowledge in this subejct to real results. She has a great team that works with her and the nurses in the Maternity ward are one of the best in the country. She has treated my wife during our first child birth and many of my friends. In my opnion she is one of the best I have seen.

I have found Dr. Estella takes the time to answer any questions my husband or I have. She always starts off asking what if anything is concerning us. She always answers in no uncertain terms so there is no guessing when I leave the office. She never makes you feel like you have a stupid question. I have recommended her to everyone who has asked and to some that have not. Although the front office may seem overwhelmed at times, Dr. Estella's professionalism, knowledge and ability to make a comfortable environment make up for it.

Dr. Estella has been my gyn dr. for several yrs. As a former nurse, I'm a pretty good judge of md's. She is not a bubbly, hand-holding, type of dr. If you are looking for a dr. to tell you jokes and talk about your last trip to Italy....she is not the one for you. If you are looking for a gyn. who knows what she is doing and tries to keep the flow of patients moving as to not make people wait...she is for you. She can discuss the latest study findings and offer great advice to those of us who have several different gyn problems. I have had several problems that were out of her scope of practice, and took the time to give me 3 differnt dr.'s names and numbers that she trusts. I would highly reccomend dr. estella. In a time when we are able to treat many illnesses and diseases if caught early....the gyn you choose could save your life...........that's why I choose dr. estella.

I love her; she delivered my child and has been my routine care gyn. She has been considerate, helpful and understanding to all my needs. She made me feel like a hero in the birthing room...
