My whole family seen Dr. cantwell and we all had the same thing to say '' WHAT A MAN "" . tHANK YOU TO OUR HEARTS DR. CANTWELL AND WE WISH YOU ALL THE WELLNESS IN THE WORLD IN YOUR RETIREMENT .i HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE WILL DO NOW .pOSSIBLY OUTSIDE OF THE PROVINCE.....

I have seen Dr. Cantwell and there is nothing more I can say other than Fabulous .I have never ever seen or heard of anyone better and I have seen them all .I will work and work with you to try and make your life happier and he's never faulterd with me and hundreds and hundreds of people I know that seen him .He is very caring man and LISTENS to what you are saying without interuption .I am so honoured to have seen him and to even say that I did .What a shock I got when I first went to his clinic .Figured in ten minutes I'd be in and out with prescription .How wrong was I .Dr Cantwell you are a loving , caring ,compassionate person .Even outside of your profession its easy to see that you are a great and dear person .I wish nothing but the best for you and wish you well from your accident .A man like you do not deserve to be laid up ill because of an accident or any type of sickness I would love to help you get better if I were a dr myself unfortunatly I can only pray you gets better

I am happy to be alive today thanks to this absolutely wonderful Dr. Thomas Cantwell .In all of my years trying to get a professional to listen to me , listen to what I was and wasen't saying .Dr Cantwell did both ......Words in the Hallmark's readings would never be able to express the gratitude I have for this man .He is so very caring , understanding , but most of all he is a wonderful man .God sent this person to us knowing there was no one else who could handle and deal with this work as he could .I have never had to wait for an appointment often I would get to see him the same day if I were distraught .This man has saved many people from falling over ,he is always there to catch you been morning , noon or night .The care for his patients is just unbelievable .The only other way that there will be another Dr. Cantwell is to clone this man .I am so grateful that I am his patient and would be a total victum without him .Dr. Cantwell you are the best Dr. this province has ever seen .

Oh My God...I asked my Family for a referral to Dr. Cantwell as he had saved not only my marriage but my life in the past. He has been my lifeline and my hope for the future. I was told by my family doctor that due to a severe car crash that he is no longer in practice. I feel devistated and I would ask for prayers for this amazing man and his family that he will have a complete recovery and return to full health and the profession he exemplified. All our prayers are with you Dr. Cantwell. Please come back to us...

I've seen Tom for about a year, he is just an amazing Doctor! He cares so much for his patients, he will see you anytime you need him, and he puts his patients first all the time. He is respected all around the province! I was one of the lucky patients who got to spend time with such an amazing person!

When I first meet Dr. Cantwell I could almost tell right away that this would be a Dr. I'd like to be seeing . So years after here I was sat in his office and spilling everything that was bothering me .He sat there listening to all I had to say and never interupted me once . He was all there to make my life better and that he did .He is a very caring and understanding Man .He's Patients comes first at any cost which is different than most .You will never meet another Dr. who is so Loyal to his patients .This man has gone well and beyond his call of duty and if not for him , I would not be alive today .He will always take your call and if you are upset he will see to it that he gets to see you . I have never walked out of his clinic yet been unhappy or sad .He has this unique way of making you feel special . I feel the mold was broke and thrown away after this beautiful Man ...Dr. was born .I'm proud to say I am a Patient of Dr. Tom Cantwell.

I met him at the lock up. Just another shrink, so I thought.I`d been through childhood sexual abuse, my 1st son died,my 1st husband beat me everyday of the wk. for over 3 yrs.I am an alcoholic & was obese.My home burnt to the ground and I lost everything,I was going downhill and fast.My family doc at the time was Dr.Carrigan from Kelligrews,he didn`t understand mental illness & the time came he refused to see me as his patient. Dr Karagianis & Dr Craig(Psychiatrists) proofed themselves useless as many,SO CALLED PROFESSIONALS in the system are. Then a miracle happened, Dr. Tom Cantwell came into my life, a true gift to his profession.He spent almost 2 hrs with me twice a week.I was finally given the time to share & heal.He is soft spoken & soft hearted, he listens & he cares.My husband is dying of cancer,just 2 yrs left,I work fulltime & have 2 kids.I`m strong enough 2 deal with life now,thanks to Dr Tom Cantwell & the life he gave back 2 me I didn`t know existed. I don`t drink anymore.

God bless this man for he deserves the best for all the people he has helped over the years including me. I just love this man and we lost a great Dr when he left the central area.he and his family are the nicest people inhave ever met. He a 5 all the way. God bless him and his loving family.

What can I say here. I was going through a very real crisis in my life and was very seriously considering suicide. My Family Physician told me that I should see the best Psychiatrist and said she would try to get me in to see Dr. Cantwell. I couldn't believe when he called me personally. M¥ wife and I got an appointment to see him just a few days later. He has saved my life and our marriage. Thanks to this man who is so down to earth and caring I now enjoy my life with my wife and children and am having a ball with our grandchildren. Please folks dont ever despair not as long as there are doctors like this wonderful man and yes "wonderful friend"

After nearly 30 years of banking, I was on the edge. In my last year I was harrassed and stalked.I went on sick leave and the lady psychiatrist that confirmed my condition was not allowed to treat me and referred me to Dr. Cantwell. Although I was very nervous at first, I quickly learned in our first meeting, that I was a person of value and that I mattered. The insurance company gave me all the grief that no one should have to take. Dr. Cantwell on my behalf wrote them a letter and gave me a copy. I was amazed that in 2 pages he had me figured out to a T. After 5 and a half years of seeing me, I still feel each visit is important and that in each visit I am the most valuable person he has seen that day. I also have all of his phone nos and have visisted his home and met his wonderful wife, Mary. While rurual NL gets the grief in most doctors, I travel to St. John's, to see the cream of the crop. Professional, respectful, kind and considerate. Thanks for giving me a life.

Dr Cantwell is a credit to his profession. I went to him at the very lowest point in my life. He had all the time in the world to listen to me. He called me several times to see how I was doing. He even gave me his home phone number advising me that I could call anytime day or night and his wifes name Mary. I have spoken to her on several occasions and she is so down to earth and friendly. I have had bad experiences with physicians in the past, rushed appointments, quick prescriptions and a hasty dismissal. Dr. Cantwell is so completely different, He not only knows me, he knows and cares about my whole family.... He has made this world a better place.....

Dr Cantwell has been such a blessing in my life ! There are no words to describe how very grateful I am to him for his support at one of the most difficult times of my life. When you are in crisis it's very difficult to "shop around" for a counsellor. With Dr Cantwell there is NO need for "shopping". He is truly compassionate and supportive and made me feel like he believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself. There is no question about his professional skills, he can use all the techniques while making you feel you're just having a conversation. Never once did he take a phone call (as did another psychiatrist) or do anything to imply I was less important than any other client. He treats his patients with dignity. I have even noticed ther seems to be a different attitude towards mental illness in our society and I think he has helped that a great deal. My life is so much better today, thanks to him. This world needs a whole lot more like Dr Tom Cantwell.
