:) Click to report rating *  1/27/10 5 5 5 I've seen this doctor a few times in his family med practice. He is always on time and makes you feel like a human being when in his office rather than some type of lab experiment. He gets to the point and helps you understand what is occurring rather than talking in foreign terms. For the first time I actually understand my condition and have improved. I highly recommend him if you want a no fruils kind of doc. To the point, in and out, leaving with knowledge about your illness, what more do you want.

:) Click to report rating    9/17/09 3 5 5 We love Dr. RAbins. he is a no nonsense doctor and he knows his medical stuff! He does ask for tests if he can not figure out what os wrong but I woudl hope any octor would. We had xrays for me and were looking for a cracked rib and ended up finding gall stones instead. It was good to know what was actually causing my pain.

:( Click to report rating    5/9/09 1 1 1 Dr. Rabins didn’t contest the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine’s Administrative Complaint of 9/19/08* which alleged that he “...failed to practice…medicine with the level of care, skill and treatment…recognized by a reasonably prudent…physician.” And that he “failed to meet the standard of care in his care and treat of…” [a patient later revealed to have a severe cardiologic condition]. The patient required an urgent quadruple bypass, insisted upon by another physician, after five years under Dr. Rabin’s care. (Pages 2618-20 of the Complaint are gripping: the words “failing” or “failed” appear 11 times. I read the case and fled his practice. This site has a link to his state file.) Dr. Rabins continues practicing under the terms of a Dept. of Health Order requiring that he pay a fine of $7,500, case costs of $5,915, take courses at NOVA and perform 55 hours of community service. He was directed to receive a Letter of Concern from the Board of Medicine. *Case No. 2007-14652

:( Click to report rating    2/3/09 2 2 1 Came into my wife's hospital room and was an absolute jerk! Full of bravado, macho, made several statements about how he was going to take our newborn to do tests and that no one may accompany him and then gave us an ultimatum and departed - good riddance. Our OB filed a complaint, as did our attending nurse, and we got an apology from the doctor in charge of the floor.
