12/05/14 1 1 1 1 Stay away from this doctor! I have had the misfortune of being Dr. Sehgal's patient for a few years. She's very impatient and rude. She's not interested in listening to your concerns and will downplay the severity of your concerns. I've been denied treatment many times and referrals to specialists. You are not allowed to use a walk in clinic no matter what or you will be threatened to be dropped as a patient. She always has one foot out the door and makes you feel rushed and like a waste of time. I have left her office many times feeling humiliated as she makes you feel that everything is your fault. Pre occupied with weight. If you don't look like a super model you will be told that if you lose weight the problem will go away. More often than not the office is closed for vacation. She needs to retire as she shows no interest in caring for her patients.  Respond

10/04/12 5 4 5 5 I have been going to Dr. Sehgal since I was a child and she now tends to my children as well...she has always fit me in last minute without question and she gives many natural options to issues without always resorting to medication if not needed. I have waited no more than 20 mins to see her on a visit and I feel she is very thorough with exams. I couldn't ask for a better doctor :)  See Responses

07/12/11 5 5 5 5 I have been seeing Dr. Sehgal for over 30 years and now she sees my grandchildren. I fear the day she retires. Her receptionist Anna is the most helpful and gratious person. she always gets me in if it is an emergency of something that needs to be worked around my shift work. I am very grateful to have them both. Dr Sehgal is not a pill pusher and will work with you and will follow up with continueing visits if necessary. I have never felt rushed or put off by her or her receptionist. I am thankful that she is now seeing my grandchildren as well as my children and myself. Fantastic Doctor.  See Responses

10/05/10 5 4 5 5 I have been going to her for about a year now and she is one of the best doctors that I have had in Canada. Yes, I have had to wait a while, but compared to some of the other doctors, it's not that bad and it's because she tries to see people immediately if they need medical attention. She is also genuinely concerned about your well being as opposed to just prescribing medication for the issue at hand.  Respond

11/11/09 3 3 1 1 I had this doctor for a few yrs and im not impressed. My second visit i complained of a raw sore throat and she just said it was a simple sore throat..since i was in alot of pain i got a second opinion at the walk in clinic and they diagnosed it as strep throat. Also, recently, i've tried to get an appt and she's either on vacation or only working half of the day. I find it quite sad that she is still in preactice when she doesnt seen to care about her patients and rushes them during their scheduled appt. Lastly, I believe if you take an oath as a doctor to diagnose and care for patients; you should actually do your job and NOT take advantage of people such as just taking their money and treating them as a number as this doctor does indeed do. Overall, this doctor should just retire since all she wants to do is travel and not do her job!  See Responses

26/03/08 5 5 5 5 I have been a patient 20yrs and am very appreciative that I have such a wonderful doctor. I absolutely agree with the other posters that the wait can sometimes be roughly 30 mins. BUT when I call Anna and say I'm concerned about myself or anyone in my family, I am ALWAYS accomodated the same day or within 24hrs. I find the doctor extremely knowledgeable and am grateful she proceeds with caution rather then liberally dispensing meds which sometime can "mask" other symptoms. I will continue to be a patient for as long as Dr Sehgal practices.  Respond

13/06/07 5 5 5 By far the best GP I have ever had. She has a small practice and genuinely cares about people. Anna, her secretary, is always willing to try and get you in even at the last moment. They are both honest, ethical and accessible. I am Very grateful we have her. I can't imagine anyone better to look after my family than her.  Respond

10/05/07 4 5 5 I have been seeing Dr Sehgal for 18 years and now my kids see her. I think she is a great doctor. She is very knowledgeable and helpful, kind, considerate and friendly. She has taken very good care of our family over these years. When I call for an urgent appointment, I usually get in that day or the next. She is very flexible with appointments. Yes I do have to wait 20 minutes or so in her waiting room sometimes but big deal, everyone waits for something at one time or another. I think of it as downtime. Just relax while you are waiting. Good job Dr Sehgal's office!!  Respond

05/05/07 5 5 5 I have had her for 20 years, with the result that she knows both myself and my children very well. She is considerate, does not push pills and seems to be dedicated to the well-being of her clients. I'm happy to have her on my team  Respond

13/04/07 3 4 4 I think Dr. is great. Yes, you have to wait sometimes 20 to 30 mins to get in for your appt but I most of the time I get an appt within 1 or 2 days which is great when your working. I just receovered from breast cancer which I had last year & I got an appt with my surgeon promptley whith the help of Dr Segal & her secretery. I feel Dr. Segal cares about all her patients. I thank her for saving my life. Margaret Woods  Respond

10/04/07 3 4 3 Gives you anti-biotics on your third visit to her (after several weeks of suffering). But, she is kind enough to give physician's samples to her patients who cannot afford prescription medicines (unfortunately, her chamber is so small that it's difficult to keep anybody's privacy)  Respond

13/03/07 1 1 3 I have NEVER had an apt. where i did not have to wait ridiculous amount of time. As for helpfulness, she also rates VERY poorly. Knowledge: In my situation, her LACK of knowledge has lead to serious consequences for myself. When seeing a specialist (which was denied to me several times with her), I was asked why i did not tell my doctor of my situation "and it wouldn't have gotten this out of hand". Not only was her knowledge limited, she made no efforts to admit to her limited knowledge until i told her i was transfering to another doctor not did she make no efforts to learn more. I could list NUMEROUS examples of lack for each of the rating categories (including shredding documents from my patient file in front of me even though her secretary even protested to doing so). Overall, as a doctor, could not refer to her with a clear conscience.  Respond
