:) Click to report rating *  8/13/10 4 4 5 Listen here are the facts about Dr. Irwin. Sweetheart is her middle name. She cured my baby rash 25 years ago (yes it was on my bottom). Now I have a picturesque anus. On the other hand sure you have to wait a while but hey her office is down right cozy. Like a summers stay in the northern chalet's of the Adirondacks. I may not know things but I know this, Dr. Irwin is one cool cat. She keeps it natural yet serious at the same time. She gave me eggs from her farm once... AHHH what an angel. If it were up to me I would make her my official grandmother.

:( Click to report rating *  3/30/10 1 1 1 Very old woman, weird place -looks like the office from the 80's. The waiting area is very small, most of the patients are waiting outside and trying to find a chair. The walk in starts after 7 pm, but at 7:30 I saw 8 patients waiting with appointment. No secretary or stuff seen, so all the cards can easily be mixed up. The waiting can come up 3 hours and more. I would never come back again.

:) Click to report rating    3/1/10 4 4 5 unorthodox approach, very good results. No staff onsite, leave your medicare card on the desk when you arrive, appointments are all for the same hour, first come first served.

:) Click to report rating    2/2/10 3 4 5 I went to a G.P with a rash and was given a refferal to see an other dermatologist. I was told to take pictures of the rash so that the Doctor could see what I had when I got to see them 3-4 months later. The reffering Doctor also suggested Dr. Irwin as an faster alternative. I walked from one office to another in the same building and got in to see her within 1 hour on the same day. She diagnosed the problem and recommended a treatment that worked. What other specialist can you get in to see the same day?

:) Click to report rating    1/13/10 5 5 5 I was very impressed with Dr. Irwin. She is wacky to be sure, but knows her stuff. I called, very concerned about a scary-looking spot on my leg, and she told me to come right away that day. When I arrived, she tried to pass me first in line out of deference for the fact that I had my 3 month old baby with me. She would have too, had I not insisted on waiting my turn- is that ever backwards from the usual medical visit experience!! Her office and procedures are unconventional to be sure, but in the end I had to conclude that it's a great way for a Dr to conduct her practice: If I'm here, show up, I'll treat you. Leave me your card when you arrive, and if someone else was here first, just be honest and wait your turn. It's the height of simplicity, and it works.

:) Click to report rating    12/7/09 2 1 5 A great doctor. She doesn't rely on chemical drugs to heal her patients.

:) Click to report rating    11/28/09 2 2 5 I had infected finger nails for years and Dr.Irwin treated the problem with a very non invasive measure that cured my problem. I can care less if I had to wait a bit longer as long as I get quality medical help which I did.

:( Click to report rating    11/16/09 1 1 1 I had to walk out of the office to check the address just to be sure I was in the right place. Her office is like a dusty old antique shop. Patients were packed into the waiting "closet" like sardines and there was no one there to take my medical card or check in with. A patient told me to leave my card on an old desk in the waiting room. I waited for 45 minutes (nothing compared to the other stories here) after my appointment time and then went back to get my card and get back to the twenty first century. What was the doctor like? I have no idea because I cannot wait for hours in a crappy office to see a doctor when I have a family and a life to attend to. I think this doctor's behaviour and office are a disgrace and very disrespectful to patients. I know some people say she is nice and takes time to listen etc. Fine, then book two or three patients a day. When I have an appointment I expect to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. I could have been there all night, who knows.

:( Click to report rating    10/1/09 2 1 2 Place is a mess, and waiting room full of people complaining about how they had appointments 3-4 hours earlier and still didn't know when they would be seen. My "rash" was a bit of a mystery to her, the advice was to wait and see. I wouldn't have waited 4 1/2 hours in the hallway without thinking I would get some kind of diagnosis. Nice person, she takes her time with each client, but doesn't seem to realize that the people sitting outside waiting are annoyed by the excessive chatting. I actually felt guilty during the visit, wishing she would stop telling me about all her other patients and her personal experiences. Would I go back? If I had an emergency, but I'd be going back with low expectations.

:) Click to report rating    7/3/09 5 1 5 Dr. Irwin was able to see me within a few days, as opposed to my regular dermo, the earliest appt. in SEPTEMBER! I had a strange-looking freckle that popped out overnite, changed to almost a blister when exposed to the sun, needless to say I was quite concerned. She reassured me it was probably a reaction to a plant, or perfume or another chemical irritant. She told me to come back in a week if it did not go away. It continued to morph into a blister again the next day, even when I applied the sunscreen, I was feeling skeptical again, by the end of the week, the skin had peeled and it looked normal. To be on the safe side, I called Dr. Irwin-how many Doctors can you actually speak to on the phone? This lady is FANTASTIC:) she said, no worries, it's ok, the peeling, etc, usually a few weeks after a reaction. She relayed my worries, a great lady indeed. I will definitely continue to see her :)

:) Click to report rating    5/9/09 5 1 4 Dr.Irwin is a wonderful person. However I had bad acne and she told me to use ivory soap-it didn't work. I went to another derm and he cured it. Another time i had a rash on my leg she told me to use an over the counter medication used for diaper rash-needless to say that didnt work either. She is quite disorganized-her office is a mess. She is all about natural therapy and has a wonderful spirit but if you have a serious problem and its not taken care of by her treatment don't give up hope.

:) Click to report rating    3/27/09 4 4 5 Dr. Irwin is a pure blessing in disguise. I have been seeing her for over 20 years and if it wasn't for her I don't know what I would have done a few years back, she was the only one who knew what I had and saved me from being misdiagonosed. She is very devoted and a wonderful human being, cares about her patients and mankind. We are blessed to have her and will be very sad if shes retires. There is no other like her and she knows her stuff!!! She knows just by looking at you, she is amazing and deserves only the best!!

:) Click to report rating    11/21/08 5 3 5 Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable...Not only is Dr.Irwin a leader in her field - she's an extraordinary human being who has done more for our environment than the average person is aware. Shame on the ignorant comments that focus on something as ridiculous as the state of her office. Regarding waiting time? Let us not forget that our country's socialized medecine program doesn't lend itself to quick service and short wait times - consider yourself lucky for the mere opportunity to consult with this wonderful professional.

:) Click to report rating    9/29/08 3 1 5 Yes; you wait for hours, Yes; she looks like a mad scientist, Yes; her office is a mess, but it beats waiting 8 months for a conventional dermatologist. She treats you on the spot if she can, and for free if possible, she does not charge you anything, says it like it is and knows what she's doing, she will take the time she needs to diagnose and/or treat (which explains the amount of waiting time). She will see you without referal or appointment. In cases of emergency she will refer you to someone else. I think she's one of a kind in every sense of the word !

:) Click to report rating    9/29/08 1 1 5 I Introduced my 15 year old daughter to Dr. Irwin and as most teenagers are at this age she is prone to acne. Dr. Irwin was able to control if not cure her acne within a couple of weeks without using a whole bunch of expensive perscription drugs. Yes, the wait is long in the waiting room but, my daughter has beautiful skin now which makes her happy, and a happy teenager makes for a happy mom. Thank you Dr. Irwin.

:) Click to report rating    7/19/08 4 3 5 The 3 idiots who posted bad comments don’t know anything about medicine. I have been seeing this doctor for over 10 years and she is great. She is one of the few doctors that is not corrupted and will not prescribe any pharmaceutical cream for the sake of getting free lunches or trips from the companies. For once you will find a doctor that you can see the same day (did those 3 idiots know that the wait for a dermatologist in Montreal is up to 6 months !!!). Oh and by the way, I am in the pharmaceutical industry and I see her because I know for a fact she is not corrupted. I encourage them to go wait 6 months and stop complaining. This is a fantastic doctor that you can TRUST. PERIOD.

:| Click to report rating    6/16/08 1 1 2 waste of my time - wited 2 1/2 hours to be told that she would not help me (creates work were her words)- I would not have known if she was a dermatologist or a psychiatrist if I would not have been referred

:| Click to report rating    2/7/08 1 1 2 Her place is a total pig sty. No secretary will work for her. She's always late, and she's more concerned about her causes and scaring the crap out of you than the issue at hand. Everything causes cancer type of thing. Even other doctors have little good to say, although professional etiquet prevents them from actually trashing her name.

:) Click to report rating    3/22/07 5 5 Punctuality? She stays in her office until the last patient is taken care of. They are usually last minutes patients because she is never too tired or too busy. She usually goes home very late at night. It is so comforting knowing that the help is there when you need it. Always. Dedicated, genuine doctor, born to give. She's got my full respect and admiration.

:) Click to report rating    3/13/07 3 5 Absolutely the best doctor, bar none, Although punctiality is not her strong force she spends as much time with her patients getting to the source of the problem. No question or problem is too insigificant for her. She is a true example of what a doctor should be. Caring and extremely great bedside manners who went into medicine for the love of the practice and not for mere profits
