17/07/14 3 1 2 2 After waiting 2 hrs for my appointment, and watching patients go in, who checked in after me, I found out that they had lost my referral, so just skipped me with no explanation. They asked me to come back another day, but after asking if I would have to wait 2 hrs again, they let me in right away. I was told BY THE DOCTOR, that for my procedure, I would be put under sedation, not feel anything, and wake up after the procedure without even knowing that I had it done. The nurses said I may feel cramping and discomfort. However, the sedation was completely ineffective, and it was excruciatingly painful. I told them that the sedation was not working. I was wailing in agony, and at one point, I was shushed. They did not slow down, offer more sedation, or console me at all. I feel like I was tortured and abused. It was a horrible experience. I feel lied to and deceived. I realise this may be rare, but they should have done something, seeing how much agony I was experiencing. Do no harm!

25/02/12 4 5 5 5 Dr Moodley operated on my father. Although early the surgery was timely, and appears to have been a success. He will tell you exactly what he is going to do, what to expect, and what can/will happen. He is upfront, and straight forward. Based on some comments on here people are expecting him to hold your hand and comfort you - he may not do that - but his upfront manner and skill may allow him to save your life.  Respond

21/02/12 5 4 5 5 Dr Moodley has a most business-like approach to his business, the business of getting you better. He is a straight talker who does not waste much time with small talk. His surgery went perfectly, he cleaned up some other physician's issues, got me into the hospital when he said he could and out as quickly as he good. I recommend him highly.  Respond

06/04/11 3 5 2 4 He is a miserable unpleasant man. Grumpy bear to say the least. Never saw him before or after my surgery. Was told by the RN to call his office for post op instructions re dressing care, but no one has called me back. As far as I'm concerned my experience was ok, and he could use some prozac.  Respond

09/02/11 3 4 4 5 An experienced surgeon, speedy recovery and only a few tiny scars. However in these economic times in Windsor I think it's GREEDY to charge $75.00 for a fill out a few questions for the little benefits I was getting.  Respond

26/01/11 1 1 1 1 Doctor's office called me the day before my appointment to tell me that they had to reschedule because Dr. Moodley was busy. I stated that as a professional he should not make an appointment with a client and cancel on a whim, especially the day before. The receptionist did not seem to care and even went on to downplay the severity of my medical condition versus others who were waiting. I asked the receptionist if I was likely to be rescheduled again and she responded "I hope not" Needless to say, I will be rescheduling with another physician as this is unacceptable.  See Responses

06/10/10 2 1 1 1 Just received ANOTHER phone call from this doctor's office that my appointment, scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled AGAIN. This is the 4th time since June 2010 they have done this to me and I have not even had my first appointment!! I am supposedly high risk as I have an immediate family member die of colon cancer last year but that doesn't seem to matter to this doctor. I have been given recommendations of other doctor's and, after reading some of the posts here, will be taking my business elsewhere!  Respond

21/02/10 4 3 2 4 I went to Dr. Moodley for an incisional hernia. While he took the time in the office to explain the entire procedure, he has absolutely no bedside manner. I had to stay overnight, but was never visited by him, either before the surgery or after, even after he told my husband he saw other "issues", and would not elaborate. He also doesn't believe in pain medication, so I was forced to have my husband bring something for me from home, as his prescription for every 8 hours did nothing to relieve the pain, and then had to visit my family doctor 2 days post-op for a prescription. When I called his office to ask about the intense pain I was experiencing, I got no call back, and when I called back myself 3 days later, was told that he didn't know why I was in so much pain, with no offer for an earlier appointment than the 4 weeks post-op. I was told he was an excellent surgeon, and he may be, but very poor people skills, will never go back to him again.  Respond

21/07/09 5 4 5 5 I had a cyst on my wrist, he listened to my problem and suggested needle aspiration at the hospital as an out patient. His office had to reschedule several times as the dr. had to do some cancer surgery. When he did the needle aspiration, in the operating room at the hospital, he was gentle & respectful to the nursing staff and me as the patient. Follow up was done by the family dr. as he is very busy. The cyst has not returned. Exceptional service from him & his office staff.  Respond

07/03/08 5 4 4 5 I took a 96 year old gentleman to see about a hernia operation. Due to age and other medical issues, the Dr. recommended other treatment and also recommended calling rather than another personal visit, to report the progress. I thought this was a very compasionate manner of handling this matter.  Respond

10/01/08 4 3 1 2 Very dissapointed in this dr. Was referred to him as a result of bowel problems. He did the colonoscopy but found no evident problem. Follow up visit, he didn't seem to want to spend any time with me. Basically said I have to change my eating habits and see my family dr. for the problem which I still have from the onset. Never even sat down during the follow up visit and was walking out the door as I was still asking questions. I guess he knows his business (only screens for cancer and serious problems), but has no sense of understanding feelings or compassion. Glad I don't have the problems he handles as I would hate to have to rely on his for help and comfort!  Respond
