I found Dr Pace to be agood sugeon ,i have to go for more surgery &he has been the Dr referred by another surgeon for him to do my surgery as the Dr i am seeing don't this type of surgery , which is nice to hear from another Dr who is top surgeon in another field.
Dr. Pace in my eyes is a life saver!! Very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Goes the extra mile when dealing with patients and gives them their prognosis straight up!! He performed surgery on a family member of mine and saved his life!! This family member has seen Dr. Pace since then and is seeing him again in a month! Even though we don't live in St. John's he's very understanding of the situation we're faced with!! My whole family and I would recommend Dr. Pace to anyone who needed a good surgeon! He's the best of the best!!
I had many concerns about having my spleen removed but Dr. Pace explained both the pros and cons. After going ahead with the procedure, he was attentive and concerned afterwards. I found him to be polite and easy to talk to.
I HAVE YET TO HAVE MY SURGERY DUE TO FEARS OF HAVING IT BUT SINCE MY VISIT TO SEE DR PACE...WHO BY THE WAY I CHOSE TO SEE...MY NAME IS NOW ON THE LIST TO HAVE IT DONE...I FOUND HIM TO BE VERY VERY NICE...VERY SINCERE ABOUT MY FEARS...EXPLAINED MY SURGERY AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS...BY THE WAY IN CASE ANYONE IS WONDERING DR PACE IS KNOWN TO BE THE BEST LAPAROSCOPIC SURGEON IN THE PROVINCE...ID RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE
I found Dr. Pace to be quite dismissive and rude when I had a preliminary appoinment. He was very unhelpful when answering my questions, completely insensitive to my fears about surgery and ultimately suggested I have surgery four days before leaving the country for work. He seemed to dismiss me after about two minutes, did nothing to alleviate the stress I was feeling and left me with the feeling that I wasn't worth his precious time. He did nothing to inspire confidence and, in his manner, practically dissuaded me from taking further medical action.
Only superlatives apply to Dr. Pace. He not only goes far above and beyond a surgeon's role in patient care, but he is the warmest, most concerned, and most aggressively pro-active doctor I have encountered since my cancer diagnosis. He takes the ball and runs with it, where others have fumbled and dropped it. He is a straight-shooter, and fully explains everything every step of the way. He is constantly busy -- rounds, meetings, clinics, surgeries, teaching, etc., -- and I hope he takes care of himself and doesn't burn out so he can continue his fabulous work with many more patients for many years to come. If Dr. Pace is your surgeon, get down on your knees and thank God for such a huge blessing! There are many very good doctors, but Dr. Pace is in a class of his own.
