When I used proper medical terms to describe my symptoms, He asked me "Where did you learn a big word like that?" I was insulted to say the least! In my opinion, Dr. Burrage is a very skilled surgeon but his treatment of me as a person left a lot to be desired. No medical advice, follow-up or diagnosis was given. I left as I had arrived, with symptoms and no further information.

Dr Burrage is the reason I am here right now. one doctor from stephenville diagnosed a lump in my neck as a swollen gland, but thanks to Dr Burrage, he discovered that it was a very large tumor in my nerve, and removed it. he was very caring and knowledgeable. he saved my life and I will always be thankful. he showed much compassion throughtout the entire ordeal. an honor to have met him.

Dr. Burridge is a very professional doctor and very caring. I was referred to him by my family doctor when i developed a lump in my neck. I saw Dr. Burridge a few days later and within two days of seeing him, i had a biopsy done and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Within two weeks of this diagnosis, I was operated on by Dr. Burridge and found him to be very caring and concerned for my well being. I was followed up by hime for the next five years in a very thorough manner and when I was considered cancer free after five years, he assured me that if I ever find anything wrong again, all I have to do is pick up the phone and call his office and he would take care of me. I think we are very lucky that Dr. Burridge chose to practice here in his home province because I am sure he could make a lot more money elsewhere and probably not have to work so many hours for it. Thank you to Dr. Burridge. Keep up the fantastic work you do.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone would have anything but positive remarks re this specialist. My husband was referred to him for lesions on the floor of his mouth. Within 2 wks we were scheduled for surgery, had results & followup. Following surgery he made time for me & explained in non medical terms everything he did to my husband & his impression of things. We were at the cancer clinic for appts the following wk. I feel Dr Burrage is a highly competent specialist & we should be grateful for his high level of expertise, skill & dedication. He was sincere, sensitive to our needs, compassionate, personal, respectful & put my husband's care first. My husband has a ways to go, prognosis is looking positive & I want this physician & his team with us all the way. Off course he is busy running a practice, surgery clinic & oncology clinic. Unfortunately, the negative thing here is that his family probably loses out because he puts his patients first.

I have not met another Dr. Like him, his bedside manner was second to none. I felt so safe with him directing my care. I was included in decissions about my care. I had time to ask and receive responses to my questions. If you need ENT services see this man.

My husband was seen by Dr. Burrage and we thought he was very rude and did not have the time to take to fully examine my husband. He was not informative and would leave the room to follow other patients during my husband's appointment. I would NOT recommend this Doctor. We didn't attend the appointment for him to lend a comforting ear (which we certainly didn't get), we went there to get medical help but we ended up walking away without any help at all! Very disappointed!

Fantastic to deal with. Very thorough, shows concern and gives a person his complete attention.Very busy office and routine. Spreads himself very far, both clinic and hospital.

I really liked him, my family doc. kept me on ear drops and told me nothing to worry about, but my ear got worse and my parents decided to take me to E.N.T when i saw him he had to do surgry right away, after surgry he told my parents that the infection was one lawyer away from eating my brain. I had to have all bones removed in my ear....so in my openion he is a life saver sent from god....i really recommend he. he is the best

While he may not be the most smiley face kind of Doc, he is excellent at what he does. I'll never forget how much he helped, explained, and kept in contact with us when our son was very sick and awaiting surgery as soon as an infection cleared. This was going on during the physicians strike, a time when he could have washed his hands of dealing with any patients or their families. He assured me that he would be there for us and he was. Our son had his surgery which was complicated but very successful and, being a plastics man, Dr. Burridge did a wonderful job to ensure that the incision left a minimal scar.

He is an excellent doctor. He treats his patients with respect and makes a point to check on them personally every day.If he is not going to be in, he lets his patients know and arranges for someone else to see them. He also takes the time to explain things to his patients and their families and is available to answer any questions they may have. As far as I'm concerned he is one of the best in his field and Newfoundlanders are lucky that he chose to stay and practice medicine in his home province.

Dr. Burrage is a great doctor - very knowledgeable! Sometimes he seems intimidating but he is a nice guy. He's very smart and very helpful!
