Anyone that would say that Dr. McCarthy is a pill pusher obviously does not go to her. She is quite the opposite, with all the prescription abuse out there, if all Drs were like Dr. McCarthy, it would not be a problem. She is a great Dr. she cares about her patients. She follows up on me, my son and my husband. Dr. McCarthy has been my physician for 4 years since I moved home from Alberta and I would not think of seeing anyone else. She is thorough and answers any questions you have, she does not rush you. She is a great Dr. for anyone who has children since she has four of her own.

Dr. Annette was terrific during my pregnancy and still is great with both me and my son. She was very supportive and knowledgable when it came to assisting me with breastfeeding. She is always there to talk and offer parenting advice as both a doctor and as a mom of 4 kids herself. We are lucky to have her in our community.

I had some issues that I had brought up with another Dr. and they were not thought of as being important. When I started going to Dr. Annette she made me very comfortable about these issues. I feel I can talk to her about any problem I have and she will listen and help me. My mother is an elderly woman and I am so glad that she is Dr. Annette's patient. She is so gentle with her.

Dr. Annette has always been very thorough, patient and understanding. I think that the person who see's her as a pill pusher probably needs some other type of pills!! Keep up the great work Dr. Annette!

I cannot believe that someone called Dr. Annette McCarthy a pill pusher. Sometimes I wish that she was because I have found her to hesitate on giving prescriptions and to give them only if absolutely necessary. I have found Dr. Annette to be a wonderful, caring Doctor and has given me and my family the absolute best possible care. Wouldn't wish for anyone else. Thank you!

I went to see her for a rash I had. When I went in the exam room she wouldn't come within 3 feets of me and then she told me without examining me that I had so contagous skin disease. I was devistated. I went home and researched it on the internet and wasn't quite convinced so I went to another doctor for a second opinion only to be told that all I had was allergies. At least that doctor took the time to examine me and really discover what the problem was.

Although Dr.McCarthy is not my doctor, she is my mother's. I live out of provience and would love to have a doctor like her in my area. She has been kind and gentle with my elderly mother. I take comfort in knowing my Mom is in good hands.

I have been going to dr. McCarthy for the last few years and I find that she is a pill pusher...If you go to her with a problem and she dont know what it is or how to fix it..."here take these pills and if it dont get better come back in a week!" She does not take the time to really find out what is wrong....the office is always over book and getting into see someone is not a easy thing to do...I think that andother Doc of staff would be a good Idea...the office is only open one night a week and you need a note from god to get in!!! So why not have it open 3 nights a week and take the time to find out what id wrong with someone befor giving them a pill...I think that her and the other docs in Bay Bulls need to take the time and look at what they are really doing...let me tell you it not all good.

Contrary to what the other person said on this site about Dr. Annette I KNOW that she is NOT a prescription pusher. She is a very caring and thoughtful doctor who takes time with her patients and has been very instrumental in saving a lot of lives of people in the area. If there was some mix-up in bookings for a specialist did that person call the office to get an explanation? You don't just call the specialist office to find out about your appointment - your first step should be to call YOUR doctors' office to find out if there was a mix-up. Maybe there was a reason why she didn't refer you - maybe you didn't need to see a specialist. Dr. Annette goes beyond her call of duty to see that her patients needs are met and will even make after-hour calls if you need her. She is a NUMBER 1 Doctor !!!

Has been treating my family of six for 9 years.Will always fit you in without app.Was there at the hospital with me for almost the whole duration of my 28 hours of labour.She knows all the names and ages of our four children and always asks about them.Don't people know she has four children of her own and only works part time at the clinic. I have never known a more caring and down to earth doctor..

Was supposed to write a referral to a specialist and when I called the specialists affice 3 months later they had never heard from her. Had to go to another doctor to get the referral. Doesn't take the time to investigate the problem but just writes a precription and sends you out the door
