I found Dr Eadie to be quite rude..and not just once but every time I would see her. She does not seem open minded to me, but rather set on ways and it's her way or the highway type of attitude. Not only is she rude but her staff is even worse. I was actually told my one of the staff members that I CAN NOT make an appointment becuase their office was trying to 'weed out' walk-in's SOO if I wanted to make an appointment I need to stop seeing my dr in Vancouver and have my file transferred over and become Dr Eadies patient.. She then went on to say, I CAN still come in as a walk'in though.. but people with appointments are ALWAYS seen first.. so that's makes me waiting an hour + to see dr. Not worth my time and sanity to keep going to this dr's office. Seriously do not recommend this dr or the office she works out of in Surrey(ForeMed in Hillcrest shopping center) I would rather travel to Vancouver before going to this office again!

My Husband and I were taken on by Dr. Eadie when we moved to Surrey in 2006. We are both very happy with her manner of "No Nonsense" practicing. She is forthright and does not beat around the bush. We find this very refreshing in a doctor. She is very thorough and we look forward to many more years of having her being able to help us with our health, when needed.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Eadie and be accepted as one of her patients. She really cares about my health, and in my opinion, is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. To those that speak badly of her, please find another doctor and open the space you are taking in her practice to let in new patients. In this day and age, its incredibly hard to find a GP, let alone a female GP, that is accepting new patients. If you are consiering Dr. Eadie, in my opinion you cannot do better than her.

Dr. eadie can seem very abrupt and rude at times, however, if you are there with a legitimate concern and are to the point yourself...she is fantastic. Don't expect to be coddled, it won't happen. Her sense of humour is sarcastic if you can't handle it, don't go.

I was lookin for a female doctor for a long time. She seemed rather abrasive at first-- had a bad joke--"Is it more important that I'm a female doctor or a good doctor?". I was rather put off, but when I re-booked for a "well-woman" check-up--she seemed to be truly concerned about me. When I had a few questions about unrelated issues she answered them and let me know that there was no dumb questions, "only unasked questions" I think I hit a gold mine

Dr. Eadie is a highly qualified and professional doctor and I have found her to be real and relational in all of my visits. She not only gave me prescriptions for necessary medications and therapy, but she also provided me with ways that I could help myself by being proactive in improving my health. I am priviledged to be one of her patients and appreciate her professional care.

As it was so hard to find a female family doctor I was so glad to find Dr Eadie. She's helpful and funny. I don't mind her bluntness. I recommend her if you want straight forward doctor who doesn't necessaily hold your hands.

I found Dr. Eadie a couple years ago. I cut my foot and got stitches at the hospital. They didn't clean the wound and a piece of ceramic was left in my foot. I then saw a clinic Dr. and had x-rays, then returned. She told me she was too busy to cut it out and I should come back next week. I went home and called Dr. Eadie, who saw me in 2 days, and simply cut the remnant out at that appt. I was sold. I agree that she can seem stand-offish and rude. A few appts later I have realized she is simply no-nonsense, with a sense of humour that leans toward the sarcastic :) She expediently handles my issues and does not coddle. I also have mental health issues, and she is neither sensitive nor insensitive to these. I am a sentient being able to make it to her office on my own. She treats me as a person. I like this as she isn't my therapist, she is my GP. I strongly recommend her to anyone. I think she is capable, strong and caring, and I am lucky to have her on my side.

Pro & Cons: I think Dr. Eadie is knowledgeable, but I feel she needs to be more approachable, kinder, sympathetic to patients concerns. I feel that she is too abrupt, lacking any "bedside" manner you would expect from any physician.

Her demeanor, at first, suggests a very stern person Subsequent experience has been that she listens, comprehends well, prescribes appropriately, and spends the time needed to both understand the broader medical issues and assure the patient. This doctor, in my experience, spends far longer with me than most other doctors and does not push me through as on an assembly line.

Dr. Eadie is very abrasive and inconsiderate. It is frustrating when doctors think that they are so great that they are above even the most basic of manners. In my opinion no doctor can be so good that they do not need to make someone feel comfortable or engage in common civilities. There are people who appreciate her demeanor, but to those that don't, she could do a lot of damage with her lack of restraint.

Pros: Open-minded about alternative medical treatments that compliment traditional ones. Very straight-forward approach. Sense of humour (depending on her mood). Cons: You never know what to expect her mood to be. On a bad day, she can be very condescending and unkind. Its a crap shoot as to whether you will leave her office feeling as though you've been heard, or feeling as though you've been put down. I find that I avoid making an appointment when I really should because of this. It's not like we have a choice to just find another doctor as there are so few taking new patients. As long as she knows her medicine, I suppose I shouldn't complain.

Dr Eadie was my doctor in Penticton. She was great. Took the time to listen, explained everything and had sound diagnosis. I like her direct approach; she gets to the point in a kind way. I only went to her when I had a legitimate medical problem and she always helped me through it.

Dr. Eadie is great -- Yes, she's very direct and tells it like it is, but I appreciate that. She knows her stuff and is quite funny as well. I can see how some might think she's a little abrasive but I like her direct approach.

I think she's great! She tells it like it is and doesn't dance around the subject like so many other doctors do. I've had a problem for 2 years, and 2 doctors didn't have a clue what to do about it. Within minutes, she knew exactly what my problem was and where to find the pain. Some people find her abrasive, but they are just too sensitive...she's great !! And to the lady who didn't like the advice for quitting smoking - I agreed with her totally...nobody needs pills to quit smoking..just get off your addicted behind and quit. I did it.

I would never recommend this Dr. to any person wishing to obtain a doctor with proper bedside manners. One of the rudest, most arrogant Practicioners I've ever met. Her people skills can be downright attrocious. When I was diagnosed with a very serious illness which results in Chronic pain and inflammation,I asked her why the pain is so persistent, yet my test results had been pretty good. She replied" Quit dwelling on it, you're going to die of Cirrohsis anyways!" She knew what she said was totally out of bounds and she tried to apologize, but the damage was already done.Even the staff in the lab next door know of how rude she can be according to the comments of other patients who come in for bloodwork.I really hope that she reads these comments and learns to think before she speaks. Many patients including myself, deserved better.

I found Dr Eadie to be very approachable and she took the time to listen to my concerns. She gave me good advice and called it like she saw it. She also insisted on following up with me. I have recommended her to many of my friends and she is now my doctor.

In the beginning I found her to be quite helpful - until the day I went in for a migraine and she went on and on about how Dr.'s are underpaid - which made my migraine worse. After that she was full of lifes complaints - went to another Dr. A good friend of mine also went to see her for help to quit smoking. Dr. Eadie informed my friend that if she wanted to quit bad enough - she should just quit!! Wonderful advice - don't you think???
