:( Click to report rating *  11/13/09 1 5 1 A dear friend of mine under 35 years of age died within the last month. My friend was a patient of this physician and in this writer’s opinion did not receive the proper healthcare that the “Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms” is meant to guarantee for all Canadian Citizens. My friend made an appointment because of severe chest pain. My friend was seen for less than 5 minutes, told the chest pain was a "soft tissue" pain and given more pills on top of the too many prescriptions my friend was already taking (my friend was on at least 14 different medications at once, five of which were for pain). My dear friend's death has left friends and family stunned and in disbelief. To come to see that my friend was ill enough to die and yet was obviously not considered ill enough by said physician to be hospitalized is disturbing at best. This is so very sad and therefore I would not recommend this physician. (Coroner's report to follow).

:( Click to report rating *  7/27/09 1 5 2 Short with patience, and questionable skill in diagnosis. Has ability to get people into specialist at an accelerated pace, but you'd better know exactly what's wrong before going to see him as he may not have the patience to listen to your concerns.

:( Click to report rating *  5/6/09 1 1 1 The worst Dr I have ever been to. He is very rude and very ignorant. When I can not get in to see my Dr, and they say you can see Dr Wigmore I tell them right out there is no way I will ever go back to see that quack.

:) Click to report rating *  3/8/09 3 5 5 We were not aware of this website at the time we chose our Dr., therefore rather than being influenced by others concerns and complaints we learned for ourselves how very dedicated and caring Dr. Wigmore is. He also shows much compassion for the elderly. He once told senior friends of ours who live out of town that it wasn't necessary for them to book an appointment when they needed to see him, just come into the clinic. It doesn't get any better than that. We have always found him very willing to give referrals and do extensive testing whenever HE felt it was necessary. He is definately not one to let you waste his time, however if you have a legitimate medical concern, he will go out of his way to do all he can to help you. To those of you who aren't satisfied with the care you are receiving I hope you are able to find another Dr. so Dr. Wigmore will have more time to spend with his regular patients who appreciate the excellent level of care he gives.

:( Click to report rating *  12/29/08 4 2 1 Dr. Wigmore was the only doctor taking patients, i had heared horrible things and came to find that they were true, he was very rude, not helpful, argumental and made me feel very uncomfortable in several ways. he is the worst doctor i have ever seen.

:( Click to report rating    12/13/08 1 1 1 He was the only Dr taking patients when I came to Cranbrook and I found out why quickly. He's rude, dismissive and too much "in a hurry" to listen to any concerns. I brought my 7 year old daughter in for a checkup and he actually told me that she was 5 lbs overweight!! This kid is as skinny as a rake!! Needless to say she's stressed about it ever since. What a moron. How'd he ever get a licence to practice?

:( Click to report rating    11/28/08 5 5 3 Very helpful if you already know what's wrong with you and what medication you need. I got my last appointment in less than 15 minutes and I was in and out in less than 55 seconds. No tests, no exam, no history, no follow-up. Saves time, but in a place where there is a shortage of doctors getting appointments that quickly is not generally a good sign.

:( Click to report rating    9/4/08 4 5 1 I had heard the horror stories about this man, but since I was in a pinch, and he was the only one available I opted to see him. Never again!!!! He was horrible. He was mean, rude, and knew less than I did (actually told me stress wasn't bad for you). He was so mean that I began to cry, even though I tried not to. At this he got up and left, announcing that I was wasting his time. DO NOT GO AND SEE THIS MAN!!!!

:( Click to report rating    8/30/08 3 3 1 In an area where there is an extreme shortage of doctors, he is available because noone wants to see him. He is rude and abrupt and from what I've heard in the past, has a prejudice against people that drink. I guess pills are okay when making money from perscriptions. I am not a drinker myself but I did want a quality doctor when I came back to Cranbrook. After I witnessed him being mean and cruel to my son of 19 years old and who has been through harrific things in his life, I was furious. My son has a scar around his ear where skin was taken for a skin graph on his nose from a dog bite. He couldn't hear properly out of that ear. Wigmore made some very rude and urelated comments and dismissed his problem. Another doctor realized my son's ear drum was perforated from the skin being taken too closely. His ear simply needed cleaning out. They flushed his ear which was full of gunk that shouldn't have been there. He could hear better immediately. In my opinion Wigmore is an Earwig! lol!

:( Click to report rating    7/29/08 1 1 1 A very rude man. I would never see him again, not even in an emergency. He should not have been practicing medicine at all!

:( Click to report rating    7/16/08 1 1 1 Never been happy with this Dr - should definitely retire. After circumsizing my grandson he had to be taken to the hospital because he did not do it properly. Please do not see this man.

:( Click to report rating    6/3/08 1 4 1 I think anyone who has positive things to say about this Dr is either related to him, or has never been to another Dr. Most unpleasant experience I've EVER had while visiting a Dr. All the things listed below, his shortness, being quick to prescribe and his odd behavior and inappropriate comments ring true.

:( Click to report rating    1/29/08 1 1 1 This doctor needs to retire. Not only is he rude and creepy but also way too touchy feely for my comfort. He doesn't give a rip if he hurts you while doing what he's doing and he overprescribes medications. There must be some reason he is not allowed to work in the hospital anymore...so think about that when you're looking for a doctor in Cranbrook.

:( Click to report rating    1/20/08 4 4 1 Without a doubt the worst Dr. I have ever seen. Dismisses concerns, practically ridicules you for being there in the first place and seems to really be 'somewhere else'. A very odd man.

:( Click to report rating    1/7/08 2 2 2 Very poor service from this Dr. Can't seem to remember what he has said from one visit to the next. Last prescription he gave me was recalled. He thought I should continue to take it, PLUS said it was ok to take drugs that the pharmacy sheet advised against taking. This one should ahve retired years ago. He may be easy to get into, but not worth it.

:| Click to report rating    10/24/07 2 4 3 This is a strange one. I've had Dr. Wigmore several times since the early 70's, and it's a different experience every time. He will walk out of the room while you are talking to him, like "you're done". He has also said "God will heal it" once to me. Yet, when it comes to my kids, he's very thorough and knowledgable, better even than my family physician. All depends on the mood, I guess!

:) Click to report rating *  8/9/07 5 5 5 I have known Dr.wigmore since a very young age. He has been a great help and is very caring. He may be an odd gentleman to some but is great with his profession. I would definitely go back if needed.

:( Click to report rating    5/24/07 2 1 This is a person who should not be allowed to practice medicine in any way, shape or form. I had jamed a large wood sliver into my thumb and down to the white area, which was very painful. After much thought I felt I should see a doctor to see if it should be removed due to the pressure and discomfort. He happened to be the doctor on call at the hospital. This man proceeded to **** my thumb then informed me the sliver couldn't be removed and it may fester itself out. Watching the expression on the nurses face said volumns. I went to my personal doctor who looked at my thumb a few days later and made the comment that I had certainly made a mess of my thumb and I should have left it alone as it was encapsulated. I then advised him "who" had made the mess. Need I say more!!!!!!!!!

:( Click to report rating    5/17/07 2 1 Dr.Wigmore is not the greatest physician I have seen. He was very unhelpful with my baby boy and the circumsision he performed. My son had to be admitted to the hospital due to the Plastibell not falling off after 4 days. After 9 days of it being on Dr.Wigmore couldnt get it off and referred me to the hospital where 2 other doctors tried to get it off, and had to use jaw cutters to finally get the ring off. It was the most horrific experience a first time mother to a son had to experience. The doctors at the hospital said whomever put the ring on had a ring that was too small for my sons "member". My son is a few months old now and can pee fine, but it still looks awkward, maybe it will look better the older he gets. I do not recommed Dr. Wigmore for anything remotely surgical even stitches.

:) Click to report rating *  4/21/07 5 5 Dr. Wigmore has been our Doctor since we moved to Cranbrook several years ago. We find him extremely knowledgeable and very honest. When we are faced with a serious medical problem he in no way tries to minimize it but explains it and gives us our options, never leaving us feeling pressured. He is very prompt at returning phone calls and quick to apologize if we are kept waiting for any length of time. Our only complaint is that office visits are often too short but we accept that knowing he tries to accommodate all of his patients. He always shows much care and concern and we are very thankful to have him as our family Dr.

:( Click to report rating    3/30/07 1 1 Hate even the thought of going to him,he is rude, never on time, will not refer you to a specalist. He only wants to give you drugs and get rid of you.He never takes the time to listen to a patient, nor does he ever explain anything.Would never go to him if it wasn't to get my medications. He should retire before he kills someone.

:) Click to report rating    3/23/07 5 5 Dr. Wigmore has been our Physician for 13 years and is an excellent Doctor. He is very knowledgeable and willing to refer one to a specialist when necessary. He also respects our decision regarding medical procedures and treatment. He is very caring, compassionate and a wonderful Dr.

:( Click to report rating    3/16/07 1 1 The worst doctor we have ever had! My son had burns on both of his hands and hip. His initial treatment was at the Fernie B.C. hospital and they were awesome. He was attending college in Cranbrook and needed his dressing changed and the doctor to look for signs of infection. Dr. Wigmore attended to him at the clinic. First, he waited for quite some time both in the waiting room and in the inter office. When the doctor finally came in he was extremely rude. He ripped the dressing off his hand. His hand gushed blood because he ripped both old and new skin off. Thankfully, he didn't bother looking at his hip. He put one wrap of dressing on the burn and told him to go to the hospital for a dressing change and left the room. He was horrible, rude, and unprofessional. It is time for this doctor to leave the profession before he really hurts someone(if he hasn't already???)

:( Click to report rating    3/14/07 3 1 He is a very different guy, his presence is mundane and creepy. Not very knowledgeable or professional, takes his time getting you into the room and then you still have to wait in there too, bad reviews from other family members as well. Very rude.

:( Click to report rating    3/13/07 1 1 He was rude. I had a small complaint that was persistent for a month and he said I was "wasting the taxpayer's money". Well, he prescribed the wrong medication. My regular doctor prescribed a antibiotic. All this though I hadn't been to a doctor in 5 years. He gave me the impression he was too bored to bother.

:( Click to report rating    3/13/07 3 3 Great bedside manner. That aside, I wouldn't let him treat my dog. Good advice is to get to know the RN's where you live and talk to them. The RN's will tell you who they would and wouldn't allow to treat them or family members.
