:) Click to report rating    2/5/10 5 5 5 I was was a long time sufferer of undiagnosed Chiari Maliformation and had been to some of the nations leading hospital to no avail. I found Dr. Rosner; he did surgery and I am 75% better at this writing. He goes beyond the textbook to find the problem and has the skill and caring to help very sick people. I highly recommend him, especially for those who have been told; "We can't help you."

:) Click to report rating    10/24/09 5 5 5 If it had not been for Dr. Rosner, I would now be in a wheel-chair or worse. Instead I am raising my 15 year old and enjoying life. My husband also had problems and Dr. Rosner assisted him also. We are extremely grateful to this wonderful doctor and his staff of caring people. I am truly disappointed that N.C. is not renewing his license; they are losing one of the best. Hopefully, I will not need surgery again, but I would not hesitate to have him operate again, if necessary.

:) Click to report rating    10/11/09 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner was the first doctor to do a full neurological exam on me. He operated and did a great job. I feel so much better. Before my surgery I was not able to get pregnant. Now I have a 9 week old son who is wonderful. Dr. Rosner is a very caring doctor.

:) Click to report rating    10/4/09 5 5 5 Dr Rosner gave my wife back her life. If he had gone by the AMA standards he would not have done her surgeries. She was able to get off the pain patch she was on. I could not touch her back before the surgery and no problem after. He carefully explained everything and what the risks were. He told us some patients have not seen any changes after the surgery and some it took several years before the changes took place. He did not press to do the surgeries. He explained that the two surgeries she had might not do any good if permanent damage to the nerves were damaged. She had been to the Mayo Clinic and they just said she had fibromyalgia and would need to take pain med’s. Thanks to Dr Rosner she no longer has those problems.

:) Click to report rating    9/25/09 5 5 5 Dr.Rosner saved my life. I was given a terminal diagnosis on 11-01-05. I had posterior fossa decompression as well as laminectomy C-1 through C-7. Three years post-op and I lead a relatively normal life, without narcotics other doctors wanted to shove at me rather than fix the problem. I have a certain amount of permanent nerve damage from auto accidents. I could not hear, see, speak properly, walk unattended, THINK, or function normally when I found Dr. Rosner. Not only did he save my life, he gave quality life back to me. I was on 13 medications when I first saw him. I now take 1, Lyrica, a non narcotic, brain specific, pain medication. I should never have walked from birth due to the severity of my birth defects. Not only is Dr. Rosner a brilliant Neurosurgeon, he is a wonderful, compassionate, caring and attentive man. If the rest of the world of physicians were half the doctor Dr. Rosner is, there would not be so many sick people in the world.

:) Click to report rating    4/2/09 5 5 5 One of the very few Doctors that would spend time with us, especially given the seriousness of my wife's condition. He spent the most time with us of anyone, nearly 4 hours on the initial visit; and the information on/about and explanations of my wife's condition were simply without comparison. None of the 8 previous doctors did some of the simple neurological tests that he did in the office that first time, and they absolutely showed us that she had severe autonomic problems. He also sent her to a psychologist to make sure she was ready for surgery; and he requires it for all surgical patients. Her surgery went extremely well, and she has her life back, and I have my wife/partner back. We could not recommend he and his staff more highly, he is simply the best we found.

:) Click to report rating    3/31/09 5 5 5 After seeing 30+ specialists for 2 and 1/2 years no doctor could figure out why my daughter was having severe continuous headaches and other symptoms. She saw about 7 neurologists, a couple of other neurosurgeons, allergists, etc. The neurologists typically examined her for about 15 minutes and just prescribed drugs that didn't work. Dr. Rosner spent a full 3 hours examining her and found that she had CSF flow blockage by the cerebellum and pressure on the brainstem. This was later confirmed by other specialists in Great-Neck, NY. He is the best doctor that I know of.

:) Click to report rating    3/10/09 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner is an impeccable physician, and an extremely nice gentleman. He is a Chiari pioneer, and has contributed greatly to the neurosurgery field. IF he was only out for $$, he could be doping his patience instead of helping them. He is far better than any of the other neurosurgeons that we saw. Very thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Everything he has told us so far (almost two years as his patient) has been on the mark. I trusted him to operate on my child, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Simply the best!

:) Click to report rating    3/4/09 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner is the BEST doctor I have ever met. He was my Dr. when I was 2 years old. I found him again at 15 and he operated on me for Chiari. I am not 26 and I am doing great. If I called him today with a problem he would help me. He is great. He is very professional and very very detailed in his exams. His exams take a long time but he is detailed. He checks everything. Great doctor.

:) Click to report rating    2/24/09 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner and his staff are simply the best. I drive over 5 hours to see him, and my "back up" neurosurgeons are in NY! He is a true expert in Chiari and related conditions...one of less than a dozen in the US/World. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years, and have had 4 brain-related surgeries performed by him. He literally saved my life. His surgical expertise is unmatched, and his diagnostic skills are phenomenal. He is a compassionate healer, and is an an advocate for his patients and the conditions he treats. Dr. Rosner cares for the whole patient, and their family as well. He has been an invaluable source of support for my husband as he deals with my chronic and incurable condition. Dr. Rosner is honest and humble, and he gives credit to God for working miracles through his hands. As a partner with several Chiari organizations, I refer patients to one of the less than a dozen specialists in the US/World. It is imperative that they are cared for by a specialist!

:) Click to report rating    2/18/09 5 5 5 I think that he is the best doctor I've ever seen. He spent a full 3 hours doing a neurological exam and we finally got a diagnosis after over 2 years of trying to find out what was wrong. 30 previous doctors had no idea what was wrong.

:) Click to report rating    2/4/09 5 5 5 He did such a thorough exam, it surprised both my husband and I how much I was neurologically affected besides the many improperly diagnosed symtpoms I had all my life. He is very knowledgeable, a true pioneer in his field for chiari malformation. The medical board is wrong in their sanctions and is limiting a wonderful doctor who has helped so many people. I decided he would be the only doctor I would let do my surgery and I have no regrets.

:) Click to report rating    1/29/09 5 5 5 Without a doubt, the best doctor I have ever encountered! He provided the most thorough neuro exam I ever had, before or since. Other docs ask you to squeeze their hands, and say "oh, you're fine". I could not walk heel to toe, got dizzy when I looked up, fell over when I bent down, had no sense of taste. My husband was also in the room and was shocked at how abnormal my neuro exam was. I had an extensive laminectomy in 2000 and, while I still have problems from being undiagnosed for so long, I am grateful everyday that I was referred to him from Charlotte.

:) Click to report rating    1/22/09 5 5 5 He is a thoughtful and caring Dr who is a pioneer in his speciality. He explains everything in a way you can understand it and understands your medical problems and discusses them with you. I couldnt think of any Dr who I would want to do my surgery but him.

:) Click to report rating    1/22/09 5 5 5 Excellant neurosurgeon. Does a very complex neuro exam, the best I have ever had. One of the few doctors that actually know about Arnold-Chiari Malformation. I highly recommend him.

:) Click to report rating    1/22/09 5 5 5 Going to Dr. Rosner ranks up there as one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me and explain everything in such detail. Since my surgery, my quality of life has dramatically improved. I came all the way from TX to see him.

:) Click to report rating    1/22/09 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner is fantastic! He is a well informed neurosurgeon and is known as an expert in his field. Many of his patients are from across the U.S., as well as international patients. He definitely is an excellent neurosurgeon who explains everything, answers patient questions and provides his pre-surgery and post surgery patients with superior care and compassion. I have dealt with quite a few neurosurgeons and neurologist and have never encountered a neurosurgeon like Dr. Rosner. His staff is absolutely great! I highly recommend Dr. Rosner.

:) Click to report rating    1/4/09 5 5 5 I have never felt better in my life since my surgery Dec 15, 2006. I spent most of my life experiencing migraine headaches, poor balance, no energy, poor concentration, and was ready to just lay back and die. Other doctors diagnosed bi-polar, but the medications made my conditions worse. I thought I was going crazy. His initial physical was very in-depth, time consuming, and thorough. My husband was in the room to observe, and he was shocked at my condition. Insurance refused to cover the surgery, and I will have to pay it off through savings, and making payments, but I now feel life is worth living. If you feel you have no other options, you should at least talk with Dr. Rosner.

:) Click to report rating    11/17/08 5 5 5 He is an expert in his field. North Carolina Medical Board will hopefully reverse their decisions concerning his practice. He is supported by cutting edge neurosurgeons accross the country. I was extremely fortunate to find him to treat my Chiari I. He understands and has been involved with Chiari for years. He relieves the fear that you are crazy (given to you by other doctors). You won't be disappointed!

:)      5/27/08 5 5 5 Dr. Rosner is the best doctor I have ever met. He spent over 3 hours with me at my initial appt. The after care I have received since my decompression surgery has been outstanding! The surgery was a great success and thanks to Dr. Rosner, I am on the path to living a life without pain. He's absolutely brilliant! I had 5 other opinions on my condition from around the country and I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Rosner. He's simply the best!
