Greatest dentist and office team ever! What can I say that already hasn't been said. All the other comments paint a great picture of exactly how it is and feels to get dental work done by Francis. I never liked going to the dentist before going to Abutus but now look forward to it every time! And to think the first I went was by accident because I got the directions wrong. Best mistake I ever made. Now my wife and I travel over two hours for our appointments cause we moved and it's definately well worth it. The most comfortable dental experience ever! Arbutus dental clinic desrves more than the five stars aloud with this rating. You won't find anything better!

It really doesn't get any better than this. From the very moment you step into Dr. La Couvee's Dental Clinic, you know you are in for a professional, caring, attentive, and wonderful experience. I have never felt so at ease in a Dentist's office! Dr. La Couvee himself immediately instills an air of calm in you and explains everything very well. It almost makes you look forward to going to the dentist, as I know it did for me! Not enough praise can be sent to this man and his gracious professional staff; they truly are exemplary!

I am so happy that friend's referred me to Dr. Lacouvee. His staff are happy and pleasant and so is he. I wish he had been my dentist years ago.

I've been fortunate to have had two previous wonderful dentists in my life but still Francis tops them. I became his patient even before he opened his own clinic. At Arbutus, he has created something very special. You're made to feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. All the staff are as exemplary as he. The waiting area is comfortable and user friendly...even a phone is available for convenience. But it's the humanity I love best about Francis. He's a stellar dentist but his interest in people is what makes him shine. He once treated a friend of mine, who was dying, in his home and gave him the dignity of still being able to eat. He also visited my mother in a care facility, just before Christmas, when her capped front tooth fell off. The repair lasted the remaining 5 months of Mom's life. I, too, have recommended Francis to many others, all of whom have been as delighted as I to have such a magnificent professional in our community.

This is an exceptionally run operation from staff, to technicians to Francis himself. Although extremely busy, you never feel rushed. When Francis is with you he gives you his complete attention. His friendly, gentle manner makes it easy to relax.When I ran into a medical emergency in his office he was calm, caring and even offered to drive me home. I have recomemnded him to many people looking for a good dentist.

I went the first time with a problem from other dentists that I didn't want to have with this new one. That is to get lectured about how to floss. Great mirth when I brought this up as a "no no" in our partnership. And that must have gone on my chart because I never got this hassle again. I do note great charting in other ways. There are certain watch and wait things going on, and these are brought up to review each time. I like to be known. The surroundings of the office are beautiful too. I like watching the news while my mouth is being scoured!

Absolutely wonderful dentist, excellent staff, very comfortable surroundings. Dr. Lacouvee even called me at home the next day to see how I was doing after a large root canal!

Dr. LaCouvee is friendly, courteous and very helpful. What I like is he is not afraid to refer you to a specialist if he feels your situation needs a second opinion, as with a very serious problem with a root canal I was having. I have been seeing Dr. Lacouvee since he first arrived in Qualicum Beach and have total respect and confidence in him.

Dr. Lacouvee is a great dentist! Has excellent staff and always follows up on his patients and work done.The best dentist and dental experience I've ever had.His office and patient areas are first rate, very comfortable and clean, with some extra touches that make going to the dentist ..almost pleasant. Aside from the tv's in the ceiling and the headphones+remote to hear either tv or radio,the glass wall to an outside but private view, the best thing is the staff.They are very professional,whether it be a clinical or office related matter. Dr. Lacouvee himself is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Friendly, and very caring about the work he's performing.I couldn't recommend a better health professional of any type.
