:( Click to report rating    8/14/09 1 1 1 This doctor shouldn't be practicing medicine. He is the reason my family member is disabled shrugging off her concerns tell her she was overweight when instead it was a serious side effect of the drug he was perscribing her.

:| Click to report rating    2/25/08 1 1 3 My family had dealings with Dr. Lake for years. Dr. Lake when you can actually see him appears to be professional and supportive. I would only rate him as a 3 as his care and concern does not extend outside his office. I'm really surprised and pleased to see his receptionist included in these ratings as she has been the cause of so many patients seeking medical attention elsewhere..Dr. Lake is aware of her treatment of his patients and as she is still there one can only assume he is supportive of her traits. The problem is the more vulnerable patients in the area such as our elderly who can't drive themselves to other clinics..

:) Click to report rating    1/19/08 4 2 5 Dr.Lake has been my family doctor since I was a young child, and now that I have a family of my own. Many after hour calls to his home and the opening of his clinic into the wee hours of the night to treat any of us rather than see us have to hit the highway! Never have we been turned away from being treated. He takes the time for discussion with the patient, and has often asked us to phone back to the office to give his receptionist an update for him!! Great doctor & clinic. As for his receptionist....she is just that...a receptionist....not a magician!!!! This clinic is one of few in a fairly large area. Her job is to fit patients in, when & where there is an available appointment. If we, the patients insist on being fit in to an already busy day...we should not be surprised by a longer wait time...this is not the fault of, nor should be an issue with the receptionist. I've always called the clinic with flexability and have never encountered any problems.

:) Click to report rating    1/18/08 4 4 5 Dr.Lake has been my dr. for many years.A few years ago my brother was dying of cancer and it didnt matter what time of day or night it was,if we needed him weather to ease my brothers pain or to help us in any way he would drop everything he was doing..no matter what. When it comes to my health, Iv been diagnosed with a debilitating form of arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis and right away he set me up with a rheumatologist that specializes in AS.I literally could go on for hours telling you how dr.Lake has been there for myself and my family. Not only do I respect him as a Doctor and trust him with my health feel like hes a part of our family.

:) Click to report rating    5/17/07 4 5 Dr. lake has been family Dr. for quite some time and we have no problems with him - he always listens to your concerns and gives sound advise - if need requries he refers for further treatments/specialist/tests.

:) Click to report rating    5/8/07 5 5 I really like this doctor! He's so nice, easy to be around, and knowledgeable. He even does minor surgical procedures at his office (removal of moles, etc...). I might add that he is quite good at it. I moved away some time ago, and have not been to him in quite some time. I would still recommend him, for sure. As for his receptionist - oh my. She terribly rude. It's unfortunate that people will actually drive the extra distance to see another doctor to avoid dealing with her. But, the doctor - fantastic! I would recommend him in an instant.

:) Click to report rating    5/6/07 4 5 Dr. Lake has been my doctor for over15 years. He is usually right on with diagnosis and when in doubt refers me for further testing. He is always very approachable, takes time to listen, answers questions, and even chat. I find him to be efficient, calm & knowledgeable. I would certainly vouch for his credibility, professionalism & expertise. His receptionist has always been accommodating & polite to me.

:) Click to report rating    4/27/07 4 4 I have been seeing Dr. Lake for the past 12/13 years - have never had any problems with getting an appointment. I have great trust in his judgement and the treatment myself and my family are receiving from him. **I have read previous comments - I thought this was "rate your doctor" - I don't think his receptionist has her M.D. - maybe those comments should be made to Dr. Lake when they see him!

:| Click to report rating    4/22/07 1 3 I find most times he does not like to talk and discuss the problems one has. I feel that at first he used to send people for more tests but now he doesn't do that as much. I guess that is due to the fact of our healthcare dollars. I as well find his receptionist very rude and a lot of people I know feel the same way. I don't know how she keeps her job. When you deal with the public I know it can be very troubling but she doesn't need to be rude to everybody. I hope they read these ratings.

:) Click to report rating    4/4/07 2 5 I have been seeing Dr. Lake all my life. He is very approcable......and I don't know about you but finding a Dr. that is easy to talk to is half the battle......I found him to very good....but in everything if you have serious concerns you should refuse to stop at the bare minimum.......and in the case of his receptionist........she is the most aweful person I have come in contact with. Her attitude along leaves people with a sour taste in their month.

:) Click to report rating    3/21/07 4 5 He's been my doctor for over 15 years now, and he's been nothing but great!!Not just that, but he and his family are a big part of the community. Unfortunately, he has the most ignorant receptionist in the bay, which makes a lot of local people drive the extra miles just to go to another doctor.

:( Click to report rating *  3/7/07 3 1 Diagnosed and treated a close relative for angina for over a year without ANY tests. Kept insisting reason patient was always tired and short of breath was due to angina. Patient was prescribed nitro. As patient became weaker, family took to another doctor who had blood work done immediately and determined they were severely anemic and very sick. Turns out they had bowel cancer and a very healthy heart. I don't know about you but.....
