:| Click to report rating *  3/2/10 1 1 2 The receptionist is very rude, unhelpful and does not seem to care. It is almost impossible to get an appointment, and wait times are unheard of. You have to be on a list for a pap. My previous doctor made me get one every year. This doctor implies it is optional and may happen sometime when they have a list and feel like doing them. Half the clients must have left by now, either by choice or by being kicked off the patient list for not needing a doctor in the last six months, so why are there still such delays and waits?

:| Click to report rating *  1/29/10 1 1 1 Appears to have decent medical knowledge but completely unable to manage a practice - cancelled appointments with no rescheduling, failure to send on referrals, failure to answer phone, little or no follow-up. Should be in a staff position somewhere, not trying to run an independent office.

:) Click to report rating *  12/11/09 1 1 5 I really like Dr. Ginson. She appears to be thorough and knowlegeable. Her office staff really need a management course of some kind though. It is very frustrating not knowing if messages are being passed on to the doctor or to wait for them to return a phone call. Not sure I have ever had one returned.

:( Click to report rating    11/24/09 1 1 1 I don't know where to begin...incompetant all the way around..been cancelled on 2 times and am trying to get results of a bone scan..the receptionist can't re schedule appointments or do much of anything but be RUDE. Apparently Dr Ginsens husband is now working there and making appointments if he feels like it.Someone will die waiting for their appointment to actually happen and then maybe the powers that be will do something about this situation. Does she not have some kind of responsility to her patents , at least be there once in a while.....sooooo fustrating...

:) Click to report rating    11/20/09 1 1 3 My issue is not so much with the Dr as it is with her office staff. They are very unorganized and unprofessional. It is very difficult to get through on the phone, appointments get cancelled same day, wait time is hours and she schedules tests that you either never go for or never get results from. It is very frustrating.

:| Click to report rating    11/19/09 2 1 2 I think Dr.Ginson is a thorough and fairly competent doctor, however the practice that she's running is borderline negligent. As a patient, you will wait months to get an appointment, then you'll wait 3-4 hrs in the waiting room with no apology. When you get in to see the doctor, she'll order numerous tests which you'll then wait months to get ordered. I've been waiting 7 months for mine and the hospital still has not received anything to be scheduled. I've called Dr.Ginson's office numerous times (which is no small feat given that they rarely answer the phone) but I'm told that my name is "on the list and she'll order the tests as soon as she can". In summary, I think Dr.Ginson is a decent doctor but her practice is very poorly run. She is inaccessible to her patients and the office is unreliable. As a physician she has a responsibility to her patients to provide quality care and that is not being done. As soon as I find another female doctor accepting new patients, I'm getting out.

:( Click to report rating    10/29/09 1 1 1 The office staff is a major problem!Rude,no compassion, incompetent. No follow up with results one way or another which was not the case with former DR.Wait times are improving somewhat but this means that it takes even longer to get an appt.Dr Ginson is compassionate and knowledgeable but does spend too much time IEi went in for a PAP and came away with 8 tests ordered.I do have another major problem to deal with but feel she should prioritize procedures. After 8 weeks and most of the tests having been completed I have not heard a word.I tried to get info and was told to come in DEC.2 months away.I was told by specialist that cholesterol was a problem and a irregularity in ECG.Did not change a thing for nthe receptionist, she is very incompetent!!!

:) Click to report rating    9/3/09 1 1 5 My main problem is that I can never get through, and when I do the appt is weeks away. Have blood pressure through the roof, a resting heart rate of 105, dizziness, palpitations. I finally get through to the office and inform the receptionist of all this and she give me an appt. for the middle of OCTOBER -- 7 weeks away. When I push her on it, she says, "You're fine. It takes months for there to be damage to the heart from high blood pressure. I've scheduled you for a 15 min. appt. You can talk with Dr. Ginson in October." Soo...am likely going to have to go sit in emergency for 4 hours as there's no way I can let this go for 7 weeks....

:(      8/21/09 1 1 1 Disbelief. Started attempts to get an appt with this doctor in April 2009. At that time, argued that I couldn't wait until the proposed mid-July appt, and accepted a mid-June appt instead. Two hours before scheduled June appt, received cancellation call from their office. My attempt to reschedule resulted in mid-August appt date. I was very discouraged to have wait this much longer, but had no choice. Two business days before that August appt, received a message that I am no longer a patient because I have not actually been attended by Dr. Ginson in the past 6 months! Well, that certainly has not been due to my lack of trying! Utter disbelief! Had that office advised me in April that my efforts were pointless, I could have been making efforts to seek medical attention elsewhere during the past 3-1/2 months.

:( Click to report rating    8/20/09 1 1 1 I am very disappointed with this Dr. My son has been waiting for a nueroligist referral since March!! He is really sick, and I keep calling and seeing when his referal will be sent, the keep saying that they are working on it. Come on how long does it take to type up a referal??? 5 MINUTES!!! I just found out that I am no longer a patient, and I was on a "waiting list" Whatever! I was a patient of Dr. Broads for 32 years. This Dr. is not a professional Dr. Sending people for tests then, no tests booked. I have called for my file to be sent someware else, I was told that these are not my files and I had no right to pick them up. I was never a patient of Dr Ginson as the Receptionist said yesterday, so why is she holding them?? I have beentold that we have every right to obtain these files.. All I know is that I WILL BE GETTING MY FILES!!! Dr Broad and Dr Tingley WE NEED YOU BACK!

:) Click to report rating    8/14/09 1 1 4 Dr. Ginson is a very thorough and knowlegeable doctor. She spends time trying to get to the bottom of an issue. There are problems with the office management. Unfortunately the College of Pysicians and Surgeons has had to intervene and has decided that enough is enough and has forced her to drop patients. This is NOT the doctor's fault. There are liability issues that have to be taken into consideration. You can't expect one doctor to take the place of two. It is horrible that thousands of people do not have a family doctor in New Brunswick. We should stop complaining and do something. Contact the College, your MLA etc. Again not this doctor's fault or any other doctor for that matter.

:( Click to report rating    8/12/09 1 1 1 ....the latest "trick" is for the office staff to pick up the phone, and then hang up on me before I can say "hello".... No returned phone calls or messages when (on 2 occasions) I was able to get through. This is the worst situation that I've ever witnessed regarding access, reliablility, and responsiblity within the medical system. Complaints made to the College by many people. If I were the doctor OR the College of Physicians and Surgeons, I would be concerned about LIABILITY !!! It's not as if no one is aware of the multitude of problems. My next complaint will be directly to the college.

:( Click to report rating    8/12/09 1 1 1 I have never been treated with such disrespect ! So far 7 appointments have been cancelled over the past 5 months ! Staff do not seem surprised by this and take a very cavilier attitude. No follow up on the promised tests or futher examinations. Totally Frustrated.

:) Click to report rating    8/5/09 1 1 3 First I must say that Dr. Ginson is VERY thorough and I always leave her office feeling like everything I wanted was addressed. My complaint is the lack of office management. The staff are not friendly and they need to learn how to be organized and book patients with the appropriate amount of time. I have waited 4.5 hrs in that office for my appt, because they booked too many people and not enough time. It's impossible to get through on the telephone and I have never had my original appt, as they always call to cancel/reschedule. Dr. Ginson is easy to talk to, but maybe she is talking too much for the time alloted for each patient, putting herself further behind. I think if the entire office staff took an Office Management Course, it would benefit everyone. Over all, I feel that I am getting good care for myself and my unborn baby. Hopefully they can get organized to become more efficient...

:( Click to report rating    7/27/09 1 1 1 Very difficult to get through on the phone: goes to message during prescribed office hours or is continually busy, hours are impossible to predict from week to week; overprescribing - offered unnecessary prescribed medication without preliminary testing; overtesting - tests promised that are not necessary, yet no follow-up. Waiting since mid-March for a simple blood test. They've taken my name and number to call me back too many times to recall but have never called back yet. Continual turnover in support staff. I have yet to experience teatment. Overall very poor service.

:( Click to report rating    7/27/09 1 1 1 This doctors history speaks for itself..on the first visit 1 1/2 hr I came out thinking wow, she is really easy to speak with and appears to be very knowledgable but just try to get the results of those 100 tests she orders..most are not necessary (im not a dr. but I knew that). Same with otheer members of my family. You may go in with the flu but by the time shes done you will think you have cancer....i have no confidence in her and her staff..lost count of how many have quit already...very very rude..just because they are overwhelmed, no need to take it out on the patients....I am desperately seeking new family doctor which seems virtually impossible here in New brunswick..

:| Click to report rating    7/20/09 1 1 1 Receptionist and Nurse are extermly rude, unprofessional and blame their mistakes on previous doctor's staff. What they say about previous doctor and nurse are not true - I was a patient of previous doctor for over 25 years. Long waits with absolutely no follow-up.

:) Click to report rating    7/16/09 2 1 4 After years of having the same family doctor, Dr. Ginson took over her practice. My first appointment with her was quite lenghty and thorough. I was sent for tests and actually received detailed results. I am however waiting for a referral since the middle of May.

:( Click to report rating    7/14/09 1 1 1 Never follows through on booking tests, follow-ups, etc. Always out of the office, very difficult to book. Never answers the phone. Appts always running very late. No ability to manage the practice effectively since the departure of previous doctor. Previous doctor handled same patient load effectively and efficiently with very high ratings on this board. Poor! Poor!

:| Click to report rating    6/22/09 1 1 1 Dr. Ginsen is a very helpful and knowledgeable dr. when you eventually get in to see her. Unfortunately do not expect any referals, scheduled tests, or any other orders to get done. I have been trying to get a referal for my 7 year old for 7 months and keep getting told that they are working on it. COME ON PEOPLE.......I know that you are busy but this is ridiculous. I NEVER had this kind of problem with Dr. Broad

:| Click to report rating    6/1/09 1 2 2 Getting through to Dr. Ginson's office is one of the major challenges. Even more frustrating and disturbing is the fact that Dr. Ginson does not book consults or tests.

:) Click to report rating *  5/2/09 1 1 3 Almost impossible to get an appointment, and then multiple cancellations of appointments. She is out on 'family emergency' more than she is at the office. This practice has 3,500 patients, so the complaints will probably mount over time. She took over the practice 5 months ago but is struggling with the work load.

:| Click to report rating    4/22/09 1 2 2 I wish I could leave a comment about this doctor had I been able to see her when I tried to make appointments. They never answer the phone, the line is busy or they are not at the office. It took months before I could get through to book an appointment. I'll place a comment after I see her.

:) Click to report rating    4/17/09 1 2 5 Dr. Ginson is a really thourough GP and knows her stuff. She doesn't make you feel that you are using up too much of her time and she feels more like a friend than a physician (you can be yourself). The only problem is getting through to her office and getting blood work or tests scheduled.

:) Click to report rating    3/14/07 5 5 She took me in when I had a heart attack even though her patient load was on over load. She was the best doctor I ever had. I am going to miss her compassion and concern

:) Click to report rating    3/5/07 5 5 Dr. Ginsin is the most informed, up to date, informative and caring GP I have ever been associated with. She has a calm and gentle manner and we have never felt that we are taking too much of her time or that our questions have been unanswered. I have the utmost faith in her knowledge and in her care.
