:) Click to report rating    12/14/09 5 4 5 Dr. Garston is great he is easy to talk to, I have been seeing him for the last 3 years he diagnosed a problem that has been bothering me for the last 20 years. The longest I have had to wait for an appointment is about 15min. my previous Dr. could keep you waiting for up to two hours. He is an asset to the community so complainers please shut up.

:) Click to report rating    11/19/09 4 4 5 he has helped me try to stay positive for an undiagnosed chronic pain condition. recomended treaments and prescribed whatever was neccesary to treat my pain and let me try and live some what of a life with less pain. when times have been at there tuffest he has not been judgemental and stayed as my doctor. all in all he has been a great doctor as a specialist and family doctor.

:) Click to report rating    8/18/09 5 5 5 Dr. Garston is respectful and makes me relax. He is the smartest doctor that I have ever met. He seems to be running more on time now that a second doctor and nurse practitioner have come.

:) Click to report rating    7/8/09 3 4 5 I drive up from Riverview to see Dr. G as the guy I was going to, there, never took his hand off the door knob and would allow only one problem per visit. He did run on time but I am retired so a wait is not important where my health is concerned. He also charged $75-125 for forms that Dr. G does for free. Because Riverview is in Albert County, more of us are traveling to see him--it is worth it to have care from such a absolutely great MD.

:( Click to report rating    6/26/09 4 1 1 The staff are great. This doc is forever running late. Waited months for my forms. Rambles on and on about stuff I couldn't care less about...always whining and complaining about things that make him late.

:) Click to report rating    3/14/09 4 2 5 All my family, from my grandson to my elderly mother, really like Dr. Garston. He has been there for us over the last 6 years. It makes me so angry to hear people whine about having to wait to see him---what do you expect with one doctor doing the work of two, for the last couple of years, and accepting walk-in emergencies to boot! God bless him for staying so our clinic did not get shut down.

:) Click to report rating    2/11/09 5 4 5 We moved to Albert County from out west and think Dr. Garston, and the Centre's staff, are wonderful. We have never been so well cared for!!

:( Click to report rating    12/21/08 2 2 1 Getting answers out of this doctor was like pulling teeth! He had no idea what he was talking about and I didn't feel he was listening to me. He barely checked my symptoms and just wrote a perscription- for a drug I'm allegeric to, despite me telling him before hand. Plus, it took him two hours just to see me and he left multiple times.

:) Click to report rating    3/19/08 5 5 5 If you want "fast", book with one of the "AfterHours Clinic Docs" they have been bringing in sometimes lately--you'll get "fast" alright!! Thank God Dr. G. is hanging in and giving such good "slow" care, alone for 15 months now, as no other Doc was ever able to last this long by himself. He sems proud of the Clinic's team but I have heard him complain, lately, about the government letting this crisis go on so long and slowing him down by making him type all his records (Dr. K quit because of it). I think he is looking for support from the people but what can we do? We lost our hospital, didn't we? Lets hope we don't lose, now, Dr. Garston too!! Lots of people really like him and I know he came to Albert as he liked the Albert patients and the staff at the Clinic--I think that is why he stays.

:| Click to report rating    3/14/08 4 1 2 Slow. Spent more time complaining about the computer, the staff, how they make him do stuff he doesn't like, how there is no other doctor to help him than he spent on my problem!!!! This man should find someplace else to work if he doesn't like it and the staff in Albert.

:) Click to report rating    4/4/07 5 5 Hey Blueface with the big chip on your shoulder: Dr. Garston did not close our Hospital--he wasn't even there at the time. The Centre has had fully computerized records for a year so he must record everything on the computer. It cannot tell him the diagnosis or treatment but, then, you know that and are just being nasty. We are lucky to have such a beautiful, state of the art Centre, and such a wonderful bright Doctor. Lets pray the likes of you do not scare off other nice Docs from coming to Albert as we lack a second MD since Christmas. Hopefully, they will realize that 99.9% of our community respect and value their Doctors.

:) Click to report rating    4/3/07 5 5 Too bad there are members of our community who work against their Doctor--shame on you! Since he came, in 2003, the visits to the Centre have steadily increased from 3396 in 2003 to 9964 in 2006: check it out at SouthEast Regional Health Authority's home page if you don't believe it. He is smart and caring and treats you as a fellow person.

:) Click to report rating    4/3/07 5 5 Give the guy a break people!! He was a specialist for years(and an excellent one at that)He has only taken family medicine for a few years. In fact he did it so we would have a doctor in Albert when the alternative is that we would have no clinic at all.Dr. Garston worked on my case tirelessly for 3 years to diagnose a condition that was very uncommon. He never gave up and now things are fine. He cares about his patients and if you are lucky enough to have him as a doctor you should count your blessings because it may take a while but he will find out the problem if it can be found!!

:( Click to report rating    4/2/07 3 2 he rambles on and on about illnesses in his family, sorry but i really don't care or at least when i am sick i don't. thank god for computers cause if he couldn't type in a puter what was wrong with u, i doubt he would know what to do to treat u. They always get rid of all the good doctor's and send us the quacks. i think they hope that enough people will get fed up and go to another dr, then they will be able to close the hospital completly. isn't that how the government works. i know it is with the school systems. i must say though, i must give him credit for sticking around though, but then again the ones taht are no good usually do.

:) Click to report rating    3/3/07 4 5 I think this is the best Doc we ever had at our clinic (and I can remember over twenty). Since he came, everyone in my family has their blood pressure taken on every single visit. He gives me a written report on my diabetes every 3 months. He even calculated, on his pocket computer, my chance of having a heart attack in the next 10 years compared to others my age--he then proceeded to show how I could reduce my risk! He is so nice, he doesn't even charge for insurance forms or my Driver's Medical. This guy is incredible!!!

:) Click to report rating    3/1/07 3 5 Unfortunately, our public Clinic forces him to do all his records on a notebook computer and then he must leave the room to get reports and prescriptions out of a printer out in the hall--dumb system but it is not his fault. He does not compromise, insisting that your pressure, glucose etc, be perfect, and that all your preventative health care be up to date, which may not make him popular with everyone. However, he will go that extra for you if you do your part. He is very knowledgeable, kind and good with old folks. However he often runs late as the other doctor quit and he must take care of double patients as well as give emergency care to anyone who walks in, even patients of other doctors. He is always friendly, explains things and never makes you feel rushed.
