:) Click to report rating    2/3/09 3 4 3 Dr Daigle is such a friendly surgeon. I really enjoyed having him work on my ankle that I broke a year and a half a go. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong and I loved that he felt it was important to make sure that I knew what was going on as well. However, now my ankle is healed but still has many pins and plates in it, in a very awkward spot might I add, so I am young and unable to do any excersise of any sort! I understand that the waiting list is ridiculously huge and that is not his fault, but when I call to check my status due to my uncomfortablness, and pain in that foot that should be gone... I do not appreciate the attitudes of the receptionists. Im frustrated and in pain, obviously I am eager to get this second surgery, I do not need negativity and rudness on top of it. All I ask is when I call that somebody looks into my case and tells me the plan as of now.

:) Click to report rating    9/27/08 5 5 5 If you are fortunate enough to have Dr Daigle as your surgeon, you can be confident in the fact that you have the best. I recently underwent back surgery and the results are perfect! No more pain. He took the time to explain my problem and the surgical remedy. I felt very confident in his abilities, knowledge and experience. I would absolutely recommend him if surgery is your only option.

:) Click to report rating    8/16/08 5 5 5 Only saw this Dr. a few times but he seemed to be very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail the causes of my pain.He has a large case load and may sometimes appear to be rushed and quite harried which would be normal for anybody in these circumstances.

:) Click to report rating    5/2/07 4 4 Dr.Daigle did a knee replacement for me on Valentines Day 2006. It was a total success and has given me back full mobility. He is caring and compassionate and does a gret job at follow-up. You may wait a while in the clinic, but no more than in a reglar doctor's office. He explained the procedure fully to me before the surgery and told me that it is the most painful surgery and physio is needed as recommended. I did my physio at home every day (with pain) and was out and back to church in 3 weeks using a cane. The care in the hospital was the best it could be and was not a bad experience. A great deal of recover is up to the patient - how soon you want to be back to normal(without Pain) and your mindset has a lot to do with your recovery. If at some time I need the other knee replaced, I will certainly be pleased if Dr. Daigle does the surgery. he also operated on my husband's should June 2006 and he had total movement and no pain after a short time. We need mroe specialists like him.

:( Click to report rating    4/19/07 1 1 I went in for a broken ankle, dr daigle wanted to fuse my ankle. I asked for a second opinion, he flew off the handle and refused to see me after that. He gives God complex, a new meaning. He also called dr. mclaughlin in halifax, and told him not to see me due to the fact that he felt, I was a difficult patient. As a result of his uncaring and unprofessional attitude, I had no choice but to let my ankle heal in the position that it broke. I would not recommend him to work on a cat, let alone a human being. I have since heard at least six negative stories about dr. daigle. To anyone out there who is in need of an orthopedic surgeon please go to halifax and try to get dr. mclaughlin.

:) Click to report rating    3/27/07 2 5 Dr. Daigle always has a roomful of patients waiting to see him, so expect a long wait. However, he did a hip replacement for me in 2001 and I will be forever grateful for the wonderful job. He is very caring, explains how he can help you and does a great job. He also has wonderful follow-up and keeps check on his patients to make certain that you are still OK, even 5 years after your surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Daigle.

:| Click to report rating    3/23/07 1 1 this surgeon did my surgery however when I questioned him on why it wasn't finished, he had no answer, and signed me off saying I didn't want to go back to work. He shot me with cortisone, but wouldn't explain what hot spots meant. In general he works for compensation, and that is his main goal. Get them in and out. I feel my injuries where never properly looked after, therefore I now suffer everyday. He is very arrogant and his bedside is very lacking. I wouldn't recommend him.

:( Click to report rating    3/13/07 4 1 Went with a lump on my shoulder. He asked if it was painful at the moment and I said no.He then asked me why I was ther if it wasn't hurting. It took 5 months to see him and the on and off inflamation wasn't there at the time . He put a shot of cortisone in my shoulder that kept me in pain for a week.Terrible communicator and very rushed uncaring attitude.would only see him if I HAD to.His wait list are very long.HE had 400+ people on his waiting list for operations and got a call after ayear to see if I still wanted the operation. With a broken bone in the shoulder I gave up on him.
