As a child I went to Dr. Rae, he has poor beside manne and poor with children. Dr. Rae ruined my ears, with three tube surgeries, scrapping the inside of my ear so my ears bled althrough childhood. Then at the age of 17 cut my ear open top clean it out, didn't reattach it right and the surgery was a waste of time and now I need a hearing aide. IF YOU LOVE YOUR KIDS, PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR KIDS TO HIM. Oh and his secretary is rude.

Dr Rae has been my doctor since I was 11 yrs old. I am now 24 and continue to see him for previous ear related problems. Although I am now living in Halifax I am so pleased with the way I have been treated over the years in that office I will continue to book my appointments with Dr. Rae when I am in Saint John. I went from being deaf in one ear to gaining back %60 of my hearing because of him!!!!! =)

Bedside manner wasn't great. Too quick to suggest surgery. I decided to seek another opinion.

I took my son to him several times. He was fantastic with my son and me . His office staff are something else. She ought to be a prison warden not a doctor's office receptionist. You have to give her as good as she gives and she will back down a little. Talk about"God Complex'!!! She not Dr. Rae's got that in spades. Hope she reads this site.

My son was a patient of his from birth. Dr. Rae was great at the beginning, but He seemed to tell me one thing at one apointment then tell me the exact oposite the next. Also he discharged my son without informing me.

Dr. Rae is awesome he put my 2 yr olds tubes in I drove from hartland to saint john jsut to have him instead of some other doctor who doesn't have a clue. I saw him at URVH for consult so I have never met his office staff before but the nurses at the URVH are wonderful, as well at st joes hospital in St John where the surgery was done, I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rae is an excellent doctor, very passionate and knowledgeable. He is kind and even recognizes me outside of the office, even stopping to say hi. He is an excellent doctor who is great with kids, and although I have endured long wait times, he is a very sought after specialist, and so it is understandable that he is extremely busy. Strongly recommended.

Dr. Rae is wonderful. My daughter has been going to him since she was three and he has been great with her and I think he is one of the best doctor by far.

A pleasant enough doctor and an obviously capable surgeon, but highly inaccessible. I had some questions regarding an upcoming surgery with him and he wouldn't return any of my calls. I'd travelled a considerable distance to see him and didn't want to do it again for a 2 minute conversation. The receptionist is both unpleasant and unhelpful.

Dr. Rae is one of the roughest doctors I have ever met.He knows what he is doing but is terrible at patient relationships. He seems much better with children but with adults he doesn't seem to care at all.His staff esp. front desk leaves a lot to be desired, very rude and will interrupt you if you are trying to explain anything to her and if you don't agree with her she just ignores you.Overall..very poor service.

Dr. Rae = fabulous. I had my deviated septum operated on 4 years ago and going under with his kind eyes looking over me I felt safe. His receptionist needs a swift kick, but Dr. Rae is the best ENT specialist

My boys have been seeing Dr. Rae for several years and they both enjoy going to see him, as I myself feel that he makes his visits very easy. One of my sons has a learning disability and is very active and he always takes his time to make him feel very welcomed and at ease, and he seems to respond to Dr. Rae. Dr. Rae is the best Ear Dr, my son noticed his name is spelled ear backwards.

Dr. Rae is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever met. He does tell it like it is which helped us prepare for treatments my spouse had to endure. He was especially helpful and there for me on day of my spouse's death. I cannot say enough good about this doctor.

Dr. Rae -- fine. Receptionist -- unpleasant, bossy, rude, angry, insensitive, patronizing -- you get the picture. I'm sure she's efficient, but at what cost and what's the point?

This doctor was great, helpful, kind, very good. To bad I can't say the same for the girls working with him. He made my husband feel at ease and knows his stuff. Glad we have him in Saint John and got into see him.

Yes, the doc is freindly and helpful. But his "front staff" ( she doesnt reception anyone!) has lots to be required. She has no helpful bones in her body! You wait 2 hours to see the doc and she wont even tell you how long etc or even smile! People like that need to go to a doc and wait that long without any explanation or even assistance! See how they like to be treated that way! After 2 hours of waiting without info, my boyfriend had to leave to go back to work! Not that the "person" cared!

Dr. Rae is wonderful. It's too bad his receptionist/secretary is so rude. She interrupted me one time so much that when I finally told her to listen, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Very unprofessional. Dr. Rae is much the opposite in personality, however. He is very personable, energetic and interested in what you have to say. He has a great bedside manner with children, joking and engaging them into conversation.
