If you have ever been to Fryes electronics on a friday night - it explains the feeling of calling this office or being a patient of Dr Blumenfeld. He gives you the feeling like NEXT! is the next thing he will say. He is Glib, pre occupied and absorbed. After more than 6 yrs of putting up with the waiting, rushed feeling I have transferred to another DR. I did have a PPO so I do not think Money is the issue- I think he just has too much on his mind- and our health is not one of those things.

Dr. Blumen feld is so great and really takes his time with you. The last two ultrasounds I had with him, he spent an hour looking at everything. He personally calls me to give blood test results and gives his patients his cell phone number for emergencies. Unheard of in my opinion! He's really great and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an OB.

I don't understand the negative reviews here - he must have been having a bad day (he's human after all); he has a very busy practice (perhaps he needs to downsize). He was my doc when I lived in LA - wonderful, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. Highly recommend him.

I had several other doctors before seeing Dr. Blumenfeld, and I knew from the first time I had my appointment with him that he was the right doctor for me. He has a lot of patients, which is understandable given his expertise. However, he made time to help answer my questions and always returned phone calls. More importantly, he took care of my condition better than any doctor could have while considering my busy schedule. I would recommend him to anyone.

I love Dr. Blumenfeld and all the office staff. They are always smiling and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Blumenfeld is sooooo professional and personable. He has been the best doctor I have every had in general. He is gentle and once the hands-on check up is done he procedes to bring you into his private office to discuss health and needs. He is very knowledgable and has gone out of his way to help me find cheaper medications when I did not have insurance.

He's very gruff and abrasive. Dsnt seem to have time to answer questions or give information unprompted. Have not enjoyed pre-natal experience. I just don't think he cares about his patients anymore. I felt like a number that needed to be processed.

I ended up with Dr. Blumenfeld because my doctor left his practice. I just didn't like him. He seemed distracted and not personable. He gave me a breast examination. Two weeks later I felt a pain in my breast, and noticed a lump. I called and he made me come back in (and pay for a visit) just to have an ultra sound. He then required me to actually come back in again (and pay again) after the exam. He would only write 6 month birth control prescriptions and then it would be difficult to get a response to extend the time. Then he would pull that stunt of having to come in again before writing a further prescription.

Unprofessional. Rushes through office visits. Never checks notes and comes into appointments completely unprepared even regarding important issues. Would not recommend.

I went to see Dr. Blumenfeld because I had a lot of pain in my lower right abdomen. During the visit, I tried to explain to him what I had been going through, and he cut off. He acted like what I had to say wasn't worth his time. Even though I was in extreme pain and had been running a fever, he dismissed me that day, saying that nothing was wrong with me, and my pain was normal. Two weeks later the pain in my lower abdomen became so bad, I had to be out from work. I went back to Dr. Blumenfeld out of desperation. He rushed through the visit again, and told me I had an ovarian cyst but it was nothing to worry about. He sent me home with no treatment or advice. 2 days later the cyst burst and I went to the ER. I will never go back to this doctor. He was so condescending and disrespectful. I'm 23, in grad school, and he treated me like a dumb little girl. He rushes through his patient visits trying see as many patients as he can in a day instead of focusing on quality patient care.

I wasn't crazy about Dr. Blumenfeld my first visit. I had an appointment with him because my regular doctor from his office had taken ill. I went for a regular exam which included a breast exam. About a week later, I had some soreness in my breast and noticed a good sized lump. I shocked the doctor had not noticed it. He felt it this time and sent me for an ultrasound. Despite my protests that he should have noticed the lump the week before, they charged me for second visit as well.
