Great office, usually on time and gentle, good quality care. They will ask about dental insurance when figuring out what you owe for treatment, responding to comment below, but I see this as a courtesy and their office helps to process your claim. My last dentist in a bigger city didn't do this, and it was a real pain to deal with. Would recommend them for sure.

He and his wife always asks if you have dental insurance and then decides on what treatment to suggest based on your plan. Always about what can be billed and how to maximize what they can charge. Not a good experience because of this.

Very helpful. Unlike the experiences of other reviewers, I found that Dr. Sertic was incredibly generous with his fees, which were very minimal! Great assistants made my time in the chair rather pleasant.

I am a patient and a fellow health care worker and know that Dr. Sertic runs a kind and highly ethical family practice. Any samples he gives out are for the benefit of his patients, to no financial gain from the companies (these are free samples that the companies drop off). Our entire family has been happy with the dental care, and his hygienist is very gentle and friendly. Friendly staff. Would recommened his office highly.

I guess his payola from Sensodyne has expired - so now he has to push another nationally advertised brand to maintain his $200,000 annual income - matching his wifes !!

Seems to be one of the many Nanaimo dentists who are only interested in making a ton of money - you must have 'double dental' insurance before he or his spouse is interested in treating you!

sometimes he seems a bit fee happy! maybe he and his dentist spouse are paying off the mortgage on their whistler ski condo!

I was surprised to read those negative reviews (last one sounds like sour grapes to me.) Dr. Sertic is not cold - he is professional and knows what he is talking about. I've had nothing but great experiences with him for over 5 years, and his staff are helpful and friendly.

His office and personality is cold. He is not empathetic at all. I was nervous in the chair, and he asked me I would rather leave the tooth the way it was. I couldn't afford a crown, so my tooth broke, and he says "I told you so". He advisde me I didn't need a crown on another tooth, then it broke and now he gets even more money to fix it. They tend to e-ray every chance they can.

I found him very cold, not friendly and I would not reconmend his to any one, my family is now with another dentist

I started going to Dr.Sertic by chance after moving to Nanaimo; he opend my eyes to how dentistry should be practiced. He is very knowledgable and thorough, and his staff are kind and always helpful. I now recommend Dr Sertic to everyone I know, and everyone who tries him agrees that he is the BEST dentist!
