:( Click to report rating *  6/24/09 1 1 1 This man is rude and extremely arrogant. He also shouldn't be practising medicine. When I was in middle school I fell off of a piece of equipment and hit my head. My Aunt was my emergency contact incase my mother was unavailable. She took me to her clinic and Dr Quinn was the doctor on call. First he made us wait for over an hour in the waiting room. Then he spent all of 30 second with me. He told me to go home, take two tylenol and go to sleep without even checking me out. I had a sevre concussion as I found out when my mother desided to take me to my own family doctor. I couldn't remember my name, or wear I was and he told me to go to sleep. Some doctor. This guy should loose his liscense.

:( Click to report rating *  2/3/09 1 1 1 This man is rude, arrogant, uncaring and is either ignorant of medicine, or just plain lazy. He is quick to dismiss any, or all symptoms, and should be ashamed to call himself a doctor.

:( Click to report rating    10/6/08 3 1 2 Worst doctor ever! He should have his licence revoked. My sister was severely bulemic and asked him for help. He replied, "you look okay to me". My friend had a teenage pregnancy and asked how to avoid another child while breastfeeding. He responded "you're fine as long as you breastfeed". Terrible advice! I myself have waited for over 2 hours to see him and have tons of other stories regarding myself, family, and friends. Sorry.. I don't usually write bad reviews for anything, but this guy should not be practicing medicine!!!!

:) Click to report rating    11/17/07 5 5 5 Went to the regional hospital with a complaint about my back. After being examined by two doctors there, they decided I had an inflamed nerve. I went to see Dr. Quinn the next day and after three minutes of examining me told me I had a ruptured disc. He got right on the phone and called the clinic in Holten Maine and made an appointment for me three days later. His diagnosis was correct as proven by the MRI. He visited me in the hospital while I was in for the operation and has been great with me for the almost thirty years he has been my doctor. People should realize that though they may have a set appointment there are times when other people must be made a priority because of the medical situation. Be thankful he is there. Imagine what it would be like without a doctor in Hampton. Thank you Dr. Quinn !!!!

:( Click to report rating    6/22/07 1 2 Dr.Quinn takes on too many appointments a day.He has been my DR for over 25 years. He does not have time for patients, and you are left waiting hours and hours, often bypassed by people whom don't even have appointments and they are walk ins. He doesn't listen well and seems uncaring. You have to make many appointments to even get things looked after(like asking for bloodtests and wanting a pap test, etc). And he rushes you out and then you hear him chatting with another patient. If you even try to tell your symptoms he gets upset and thinks you are trying diagnose yourself. I have been trying to find a new family dr. for awhile now.

:( Click to report rating    5/19/07 1 2 He was my Dr from birth to age 21. I had been to him several times trying to deal with panic attacks. I recieved a Rx of put your head between you knees instead of dealing with the issue that was causing them. He is NEVER on time average wait was 3hrs. He is lacking bedside manner, and gets more arrogant with age. I'm SO glad I was able to find a new Dr in the city.

:) Click to report rating    4/20/07 5 5 Dr Quinn has been my doctor since i was 12 and has always been there when I needed him especially when I took sick when I was 26 and almost died.He was always there for my dad too when he was alive.

:) Click to report rating    4/15/07 1 4 My family has gone to Dr Quinn for 30 years. I find him very good at diagnosing a problem and quick with a referral if you need one. I also get impatient with the wait at his office but remind myself when my father killed himself he spent the time needed with my mother while others waited many times and when my friend was diagnosed with cancer he spent the time needed with her also. Maybe when he's short with someone he has just been giving someone else bad news or trying to help them. This man while be sorely missed when he retires and then will be appreciated for all the patients he sees. Take a book and enjoy your quiet time while you wait.

:( Click to report rating    4/12/07 1 1 Dr Quinn is a quack as far as I am concerned. The last time I went to see him my daughter had an ear infection and instead of him coming to see her, he went outside to have a long look at the last patient's BMW. He is an arrogant snob.

:( Click to report rating    4/5/07 1 1 Arrogant and full of himself. Rude. He is much more impressed with himself than I am. Wish I had a choice to get someone else.

:( Click to report rating    4/1/07 1 1 very rude , very condescending , cares nothing for the patient , you are a big waste of his time , he sees only dollar signs when you arrive . If you need two refills you need two appointments . Maybe if he took a few moments with each patient he wouldn't be overbooked as they wouldn't have to come back so often.

:( Click to report rating    3/27/07 1 1 Dr. Quinn is very rude. I went to him once and I will never return. For those who think that he is only rude to those who deserve it I must disagree. He did not examine me or even ask me what my symptoms were. His greeting to me was "what the hell are you doing here". I was taken aback, I didn't know how to respond. I told him I had a pain in my side and a heaviness on my chest and my family doctor was on vacation. I had told this to the receptionist when I booked the appointment. He told me to go see my own doctor.

:( Click to report rating    3/21/07 1 1 dr. quinn isn't my doctor and will never be. i know people who go to him "only" because they have to as there is a shortage of doctors. he is rude and very unproffesional. some co-workers and friends have him and they all say the same ....he's a very unlikeable, unhelpful ,big feeling doctor ...and if they could find another doctor they would !!!

:) Click to report rating *  3/13/07 3 5 I have found Dr John Quinn to be a very conscientious doctor and has more than once attended to me for various reasons. I realise that the wait to see Dr Quinn is because he tries to help so many because of a shortage of Doctors in NB. I also know there are many who go to Dr Quinn because of frivilous reasons and this adds to his workload, being ex military I understand the reasons for seeing a doctor should be serious not minor. I commend Dr Quinn for his help and my family has only positive things to say about someone who works so hard for his patients.

:) Click to report rating    3/13/07 3 5 I like Dr Quinn. He is willing to refer you to the appropriate specialist and always gives you an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The people who find him rude are maybe wasting his time and our medicare dollars. If you want to socialize and complain about minor ailments that do not need a doctors input go see a friend or family member. If you have the flu or a cold and everyone else in your circle has it too then stay home and stop the spread. Don't go to a Dr. office where there are vulnerable individuals and pass it to them. Call the help number if you don't know the proper treatment for these common ailments.

:) Click to report rating    3/11/07 1 5 This is my husbands Dr. His only gripe with Dr. Quinn is the time factor. He hates waiting .He detests waiting for hours for an app. Why does he overbook himself so ?

:) Click to report rating    3/6/07 1 4 I understand many of the comments that other people have posted. We must be aware that the health care system is now moving away from the Dr. being the be all and end all. We must take control over the time that we have scheduled with our doctor. There are few Doctors in this day and age that are as flexible as he is in scheduling appointments within 2 days. As close as Sussex the appointments are booked at least 4-6 weeks away. A second opinion is only as far away as a referral which I have found he is more then willing to give.

:| Click to report rating    2/13/07 1 3 You wait for hours before you get into see him but he is willing to get you in within two days which is a big help as you would have to go wait in the ER for 5 hours or more.

:( Click to report rating    2/12/07 2 1 The only times I have ever had to use Dr. Quinn for anything, it was because I was desperate and he was the only doctor "on call". Each experience I have had with this man has been a nightmare. He is rude, arrogant, unwilling to listen and insults his patients verbally. He has made it clear to me that he has better things to do by saying, "It's late and I want to go home." After uttering these words, he left the room, cutting off further conversation. I was left in the room not knowing whether he was coming back or whether I should just get up and go home. I decided not to subject myself to any further abuse by this man and left. Dr. Quinn is still the doctor "on call" in Hampton but I choose not to use him. I use the After Hours Clinic instead. Each doctor I have had there has been wonderful. I wonder if Dr. Quinn knows that I am in a different role at school when I teach his son?

:( Click to report rating *  2/5/07 2 2 Takes upon too many patients at once and you are left waiting for hours for something quite simple, like a prescription refill. If it's a diagnosis you need, it will probably be wrong. As you're talking to him, he's got his hand on the door waiting to get to the next patient, making it seem like you're bothering him with your problems. I hate to be without a family doctor but for anything really serious, I take myself or my children to the after hours clinic or to the hospital. An even longer wait is worth a correct diagnosis.
