I normally would not write into a forum like this but after reading the negative comments from the last post i felt I had to comment. Dr. Cadenhead is a fantastic doctor. She should be the model for other doc's to aspire to. Yes she is often running behind but that is because she gives patients the time they need and doesn't ask them to rebook another day if they come with more than 1 problem. She also has a busy obstetrics practise ( as evidenced by all the babies and young families in her waiting room) I am a nurse and feel fortunate that I have a doctor as skilled at diagnosis as Dr. Cadenhead and as intelligent. Doctors have had their ability to refer and treat patients hindered by government buraucracy and I am amazed that they all haven't left for the USA. Thanks Kathy for all the years of great treatment

She does not read charts because she takes on too many patients and rushes through the appointments. I had back problems for 10yrs before my toes started going numb and i had bowel problems. She should have put two and two together and ordered a CT scan and she would have figured out i have 3 bulging discs that were damaging my nerves. Instead i continued with sports for another 3 yrs undiagnosed and the discs hemoraged. I was bed ridden for two month and have done physio weekly for the past year and i am finally stable. However, i can't play baseball or do TaeKwonDo or it flares up. If i screw my back up again i could run the risk of having to fuse those three vertebrea of my spine. Thanx a lot Kathleen

Kathy's attentiveness, compassion, and quality as a doctor is well worth the time one spends in the waiting room. Because when it's your turn, you won't be quickly ushered out after a few short minutes like with some other doctors. I was referred to her many years ago and have referred a number of other people since and we've all been very happy with Kathy as our GP.

Dr Cadenhead is fantastic. She has delivered our child and looked after him since. She keeps up with new research, is very personable and has a no-nonsense approach. She's awesome! Her staff however are rude and unsympathetic.

Kathy's been my doctor 15+ years, and has always provided excellent care in a sensitive, friendly & knowledgeable manner, for myself & my kids. She's very thorough; my 2nd pregnancy was high risk & Kathy was instrumental in saving my baby, who's now a very healthy 10 yr. old. Extremely long wait times are very frustrating, but bearable - because she gives you as much as time as you need to answer your questions. I've recommended Kathy to friends, and they're extremely grateful. Thanks Kathy & Rezi!

I have been a patient of Dr. Cadenhead's for nearly 20 years and have found her to be a genuinely caring physician. Yes, the wait times have grown longer over the years, but she more than makes up for it with her dedication to ensuring that you are receiving the best possible care. I have NEVER found her rough in her demeanor nor have I ever experienced her staff as rude.

I have been seeing Dr. Cadenhead for seven years. She is an excellent doctor that I know I can trust. She deliverd both my children- one of which was a difficult birth. I feel I may have not had such a wonderful outcome if Kathy had not been in the delivery room. She has also dilligently followed up on phone calls to the office even when she could have waited until I came into the office. I have appreciated and value her skill and care.

When we moved to surrey, i considered changing doctors to one that is closer, but in the end i couldn't do it. i could not find anyone else that i could trust would "go the extra mile" for me. when i book my appointment, i count on getting in an hour later, so my kids and i make a day of it and hang out at the mall while we are waiting!

I have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Cadenhead as a family doctor since the late 80's. She is completely dedicated to her practice and her patients. She works long days, is thorough and knowledgeable and in all my years, the only doctor I will ever completely trust. He office is usually very busy and I have waited up to 90 minutes to get in, but for me the waits have been worth it. Thank you, Dr. Cadenhead

Dr Cadenhead is a very caring and competent MD. Yes you might have to wait sometimes BUT when it's your turn you have all the time you need. I have recommended her to friends in the past and they are all as happy as I am Here's to you Dr. C

I love Kathleen and the service she provides. She's personable, easy to talk to, helpful - all the things you would want in a doctor. I left her practice because her office staff were notoriously rude and incompetent. There is also the issue of lateness. When I arrive early for a 1pm appointment, I'm frustrated when I'm still there at 2pm, waiting. If it were a one-time thing, that would be no problem. But it was an EVERY time thing. Always way, way late! And the staff give no idea how long the wait might be, either. I took to phoning before I left home, saying "I have an appointment at 1pm. Will that appointment be on time, or is Kathleen running late?" She was ALWAYS running late. "Fine, I'd say. I'm a five minute drive from you. Call me when you think you know when my appointment will be, or I'll phone you every thirty minutes. I *will not wait in your office for longer than 15 minutes.* That worked, but it was annoying that I had to do that.

have been a patient for over 25 years. she has gotten a lot busier since her first practice opened on commercial drive. very helpful when it comes to your young children.

I went to see doctor Cadenhead in Dec due to severe stomach pain. She had already left for here holidays and left behind her staff to run the office as well as a intern to take care of here patients. I had blood work done. I kept calling for my results and even 3 weeks later they're excuse was, "Our Fax Machiene is Broken" I ws forced to got emergency where I was treated for 4 days. Her office and staff let me down in time of need and I found the receptionist extremely rude. I'm sure if the Doctor was in the house things would have been alot smoother. The staff needs to be kept inline though.

I found her to be extremely caring and sympathetic .She makes you feel very comfortable.A wonderful doctor that is well worth the wait.The office is well managed .

Dr. Cadenhead is fantastic! She delivered my daughter and I had an emergency post-delivery that she handled perfectly (at 4am!). I trust her advice and find her knowledgeable and friendly. Yes, she is often late, but what doctor isn't?!

I was a patient of Dr. Cadenhead's a number of years ago. I also worked with her in Alberta and can honestly say she is one of the most knowledgable doctors that I have ever known. An excellant doctor and fantastic, caring person. Just wish I lived closer to her office, I would still be her patient. Yes, she is usually late for her appointments but that is because she spends the time with you.

I have been seeing Dr. Cadenhead for about 17 years and I would have to say she is a wonderful doctor. Always takes her time with you even whe she is running late. I have never felt rushed out of the office. She is very kind and helpful. Would not ask for a better doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Cadenhead's and am no longer. The wait time was really long and she would only see me for a few short moments and then rush me off. She was always too quick with her procedures and a bit rough. A nice lady but felt that she had way more clients than she could or should handle.

Dr. Cadenhead is an incrediable doctor!! She delievered my 3 children and has provided excellent care. She is very thorough and takes time to discuss all medical concerns. She has phoned my home after business hours to discuss lab results. She has even offered to do a home visit when my children were very young. She is very well rounded professional who is very involved with Grouse Mtn Ski Patrol, UBC Medicine Prgrom. She is also a great mother of 3 children!

DR. Cadenhead delivered both of my babies and was wonderful throughout both! I would highly recommend her to any woman expecting! She is not my family doctor but for the duration of my pregnancies i sure felt that she was. She is sweet, funny and very caring and thorough.

Dr. Cadenhead provided amazing care during both my pregnancies. She is caring and conscientious and very thorough. She is also incredibly quick and skilled at giving kids their shots. Done before they know it and they barely have time to let out a peep before it is over. I have moved away and still keep Kathy as my family physician.

I have moved away from BC but really miss the conscientious,genuine care of Dr Cadenhead.She consistently went above and beyond the call of duty during the seven years she was my doctor.I would highly recommend her as your family physician.
