Kind of intimidating with his bedside manner, and does push the medications a bit more than I like. However, is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, understanding, and takes the time to address concerns and explain things. I feel like he genuinely cares for my son, he is the only doctor to ever look at the bigger picture with him and find a diagnosis. I wish all doctors were as thorough as Dr.Salloum! All in all I think he is wonderful!

Very thorough and knowledgeable however, doctors' pays are affected by how many medications they prescribe and it could not be more obvious with this doctor. Prescribed my daughter not one, but two different Epi-pens for a mild milk allergy. Eventually, we got referred to a nose, ears, and throat specialist through our family doctor and the problems we were having with our daughter's health were immediately cleared up after a five minute minor, non-evasive surgery.

My 6yr old grandson,Joe is recovering from bacterial meningitis, thanks to Dr.Salloum. We are very impressed with his dedication and how thorough he is. The nurses on pediatric speak very highly of him, he has earned their respect and ours. Dr.Salloum is diligent in his care and treatment of Joe,to the point of coming in on his days off to treat him.We feel truly blessed that Joe is under his care. I do not understand the comments on his poor bedside manner. He patiently explains every procedure, listens to our comments, has shown a sense of humor, and is genuinely concerned about Joe's recovery. Thank you Dr. Salloum, we owe you our deepest gratitude.

We feel very fortunate to have had such a thorough doctor since our daughter was born 2 years ago. His "people skills" may not be the best but we've seen a wonderful improvement and honestly feel that he "cares" about our daughter. Any child that needs a pediatrician can be sure that Dr Salloum will find the answers as soon as he possibly can. Thanks for your continued amazing care!!!

This Dr is painfully awful. He orders blood work and urine tests - just because - and gives perscriptions for unconfirmed test results. As a 1st time parent, my gut told me that this Dr was 'odd' - I should have followed my gut. His bedside manner is the worst I have ever experienced. Being told time and time again that these tests are normal and that he is just very thorough - gets pretty old after 5 months. I found out more from my Family Dr in 5 minutes than I found out from him in three 1 hour appointments. Civilians don't have to be Dr to understand logic... they say he is a great allergy specialist - I hope I don't have to find out. I am convinced that Dr's get paid based on the tests that are ordered. Unbelievable - beware of Dr. Salloum.

Prescribed nasonex, two different puffers, antibiotic just in case, and finally singular. These where prescribed before any tests where done on our child!. His hunches proved wrong and medicated without reason. Good thing we never gave our child these medications, and went to IWK, the where astonished to here about this medicating prosedure without knowing what is wrong and proof from medical tests....BEWARE PEOPLE!!!

We are extremely happy to have Dr. Salloum for our daughter's pediatrician. He is VERY thorough and will test everything to make sure that he doesn't miss anything. He is very knowledgeable. I will admit that his people skill could be better but that is the least of my worries...I would rather have a doctor that is knowledgeable and that doesn't skip steps to make sure that my daughter has the right diagnostic. We are thankful that we have him!

On time rating is the worst ever seen. He is so knowledgable and if you can get around his poor "bedside manner" you can see he is a wonderful DR. Maybe if he learned how to effectively communicate with children and parents as well as his vast knowledge he would be better received. We appreciate his help!

I was not impressed with Dr. Salloum, who took 2 hours in just asking family questions, and half an hour examining our son. He did not care to address his questions, to his mother, but to his dad. When he did address the mother it was to tell her her son was 'mentally delayed'b/c he did not have many words in his vocabulary. He did not want to send us to an ear/throat specialist;my son only got to see that specialist b/c of our family doctor. Our son has been in speech programs and working with a speech pathologist who has determined there was NOTHING mentally wrong with our son. We found dr. salloum very degrading to not only the child but the parents as well. We told our family doctor that we would never go back to dr. salloum, and we would drive 2 provinces away just to avoid our son seeing him again.

Don't care much for this doctor. I find he is to quick to prescribe medication. My daughter saw this doctor for almost 2 yrs and for the most part he kepted her on antibiotics and steroids. Asked repeatedly for a referral to a nose ear throat specialist and he kepted putting it off and off until i got mad and talked to my family doctor and had the referral. My daughter saw the specialist within 1 week and was in a few days later for surgery. Since her surgery her health has improved by 70%. She definately could have been better sooner, if only Dr Salloum would just have reffered her instead of keeping her drugged all the time.....

As a health care professional, I can appreciate how fortunate my family is to have him for my son's specialist. His expertise in pediatric immunology and allergies fills a void in our area. At first, my wife (who is not a health care professional) was very apprehensive at his aggressive treatment strategies. He is often frustrated with our medicare system, which leads me to believe he would stop at no end to ensure the best possible care for my son. His secretary, Judy, is the warmest secretary I have ever encountered. Hopefully he will stay in our area for amny years to come.
