Depending on the problem, depends on how good he is. I went to see him for pregnancy complications and he sent me home without even being checked. The next day, I went back when Dr. Allaby was on call and he kept me there for hours to try to figure out the problem and ended up doing bloodwork, and everything else. Then he gave me rhogam. I left there more at ease because I finally got some answers. However other times I had seen Dr. Butler I was very happy with the care I recieved. I guess it just depends on how "Important" he feels your problem is

Dr Butler cured my two-day ailment and for that I will be eternally greatful. I found him to be pleasant and helpful when I arrived in his ER with a migraine.

If i was dying, i would drive to Saint John just to avoid him. EVERY time i have had to deal with him, i end up back the next day.

I thought this doctor was very good. I can't imagine why some called him rude because from what I saw he was very kind and polite. He is an ER doctor so keep in mind if you are there for something that is not an emergency then you are in the wrong place! Do not waste the ER docs time with things that should have been taken care of in a family physicians office or an after hours clinic.This could be why he was impatient with you.

Great ER Dr and any one that says different needs to go to a head specialist and not the ER,,,,,,,,,,,their brain needs help

very rude doctor, he wouldn`t even let me finish explaining my problem. I was not impressed and will avoid seeing him at all cost.

This doctor made me so angry. After going to bed I found I couldn't breathe as I had fluid in my lungs from fluid retention. I was registered and taken to the exam area. He was preparing to leave and saw me come in and continued to walk toward the exit door. I asked him why he was going and explained my problem - I'm an RN and had seen him previously. He said I should have come in earlier and left the ER (around 11pm). I had to come back the next day and spent the day in ER receiving IV fluids to get rid of the fluid.

Dr. Butler ...to me he seemed nonchalant. To him it seemed whatever I had was no big deal. Not overly friendly or caring . Felt like maybe I was making a mistake by using the OPD.

Great ER doctor! No nonsense kind of guy. Gets to the point quickly and eager to explain findings. Polite and caring.

The doctor was able to see me very quickly. He was very helpful and polite and I now feel like a million dollars!

We felt like we were wasting his time. Left in the same shape as when we arrived. Hospitalized the next day for severe alergic reaction.
