Dr Paras has been my girls Ped since 86. He is the most dedicated Dr. I know, (does he ever sleep? Thankfully my girls have not been seriously ill, but God forbid, I would feel totally comfortable putting their lives in his hands. My oldest went to him till she was 23, just because she could not find a family doctor. Now THAT is dedication to your patients!!! I wonder where and how many it will take to replace him when he retires.....

Dr.Paras admitted my daughter after an e.r. visit with severe asthma attack. He was kind and gentle, knew what to do, and worried about the eczema that was on her face and arms, after finding out the eczema and asthma were linked with common allergens he referred my daughter to allergist and dermatologist, very thorough doctor, especially with kids! We are finally getting the help we needed, thank you! Although i haven't heard from the allergist or derm., i called Dr. Paras's office (as instructed in the care instructions he sent with me) his secretary was not very helpful, made me do the phone calls to find out if the orders went through yet.

My son was born with RSV, he now has asthma and he has been sick since Jan. Dr.Paras has been seeing him since he is so great with his patients. My son gets excited when he finds out that he has to go see him. I am so glad to know that Dr.Paras takes his time to figure out what is wrong with him. If I were a kid then I would be very happy to have a doctor like him also. Thank-you for taking the time to look after my sons illness I don't know what I would do if he wasn't taken care of so well.

My daughter loved him! He is a great doctor and calls you at home to check up to see how everything is going.

Dr. Paras is wonderful! I couldn't believe how great he was with my son. He eased my inital terrors and assured me everything would be fine. He called me the next day to see how he was making out and even gave me his number when I left the night before ( That was a shocker to me!!! ) After telling him my son was fine he still called me 2 days later to ask how he was doing. He cares very much for the welfare of the child and lets it show. Although I found him a little difficult to understand ( we were at the emerg room for 8 hrs and EXTREMELY frustrated and tired, so def a contributer) however i would deal with a thick accent to get his care again!! Great DR!

An amazing, dedicated, caring physician! It will be a sad day when he decides to retire. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone. Always available when he's needed! You're the best Dr. P!!!!

Old fashion Dr. His best advice is trust your instincts. Mother's intuition knows best:) Although hard to understand at times overall a wonderful Dr. I think he deserves a vacation. Very dedicated to his paticents!!!!!

Dr. Paras is a great doctor. He is a bit quirky, but obviously very smart and very caring. He once called me from the Toronto airport because he had forgotten to give me my sons test results. He is a lovely man and I feel lucky to have been referred to him.

He took care of my daughter for the week she stayed in NICU, she was rh diseased. Very good doctor.

best Dr I have ever met.. he gave me his home # and his pager!!and it was only because our daughter was throwing up for 5 days.. imagine if it were anything more serious!.. he really is an amazing Dr and he loves his patients.. more Drs should be like him.. Blessings heaped upon you Dr Paras!

We have faith in Dr.Paras. His 1st priority is his patients and it shows by his dedication. We could and still can call upon him whenever we need to. We usually get to see him before our own family DR. Our daughter also had cancer and he was on top of things 100% and never hestitated to call us at home. That means alot to a parent(s). I don't know where we would be w/o him. I hope he has duplicated himself.....

I love Dr Paras there has never been a better Peds Dr. anywhere, and we have had the use of many. Our daughter was diagnosed w/ALL when she was 2 & again when she was 3, I can honestly say I don't know (other than God himself) if anyone would have given us the service & attention that Dr. P has given us. Our daughter is now 18 and they have an great relationship. We could call on him day or night, like one of the previous writings you can find him at the hospital day or night mostly in the middle of the night. We love you Dr. P. God bless you.

Dr. Paras is the most amazing doctor I know. I hold him in the highest regard. He not only is compassionate, kind, caring, generous,etc... but he is extremely smart. I don't know what I would do without him. He knows about everything! This man works day and night and has dedicated his entire life to children. I ask Dr. Paras how he knows about every disease and why he is so smart. He said to me, "If you listen to the mother, she most often diagnoses her own child. I think some people take advantage of him because he cannot say no to anyone. He probably has more patients than any doctor in Canada or US! I only rated him a 3 on punctuality because he can be late - but this man goes continuously from the hospital - obs - peds to his office. I don't know when he sleeps!!

Dr. Paras has been caring for my 2 children 12 & 15 since they were born. He is very dedicated and if there is a problem will call you back in the late evening if need be. He is a truly caring doctor. The night after my son was born he woke me up at 2:00 AM when he was doing his rounds. It seems like he is always at the hospital or in his office with patients. Sometimes there is a little wait but I know how busy he is and how much time and care he puts into each patient.

Excellent Doctor for my two daughters for 14 & 16 years always very thorough and really cares.If Dr Paras is not in his office you will likely find him in the Pediatric unit at the regional Hospital.Devotes his life to caring for children.

DR PARAS WAS MY DOCTOR WHEN I WAS A CHILD. HE NEVER STEERED MY MOTHER WRONG, HE WAS WILLING TO SEE ME ANYTIME AS I WAS QUITE A SICK CHILD. HE WOULD ALWAYS PROMPTLY RETURN MY MOTHERS PHONE CALLS & ASK TO SEE ME THAT DAY IF HE THOUGHT NECESSARY. I WAS NEVER AFRAID OF HIM & HE WAS ALWAYS VERY GENTLE & CARING. DESPITE HIS VERY STRONG ACCENT HE ALWAYS MADE SURE YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT HE WAS TELLING YOU BEFORE YOU LEFT THE OFFICE. DR PARAS WAS AN AWESOME PEDIATRICIAN & I THINK ANY CHILD THAT HAS HIM AS A DOCTOR IS IN VERY GENTLE & CAPABLE HANDS.

He is the best ped. Dr. in town. Very smart man and very nice. He has been looking after my daughter in the hospital for a few months now and I recomend him to anyone.

Circumcisions : Dr Emylios Paraskevopulos (he calls himself "Emile Paras") is the only physician in NB performing elective circumcisions (for religious, cultural or other reasons). On top of his $100 fee, you also have to pay $150 to the hospital. He gives parents an instruction sheet but there is no illustration of how to dress the bandages in this rather difficult part of the body. If you are not familiar with bandages, ask for a demonstration from him or the nurse.
