05/10/12 5 4 5 5 Dr. Otto did a fantastic job on my knee. He says what he means and means what he says. All my questions were answered to the letter and fully to my satisfaction. Being a golf enthusiast we immediately developed a rapport since my main reason for the surgery was to get me back on the golf course. After 5 months I was back playing. He lived up to his part and I made sure after a slow start I lived up to my part of the deal. Terrific surgeon who came highly rated and I would without reservation or hesitation recommend him to anyone who is contemplating total knee replacement surgery.

16/03/12 4 5 5 5 He is very knowledgeable. I had my ACL reconstructed by him and I'm very satisfied. His method, I believe, is the most reliable method for sportsmen. I could walk 9 days after the surgery. Not a perfect walk, but it was ok. The only thing is, he does not talk very much. I think rarely more than 20 sentences, but If you ask 1000 questions, he'll answer. So prepare you questions ;)  Respond

27/06/11 5 5 5 5 I am 64 yrs old and I have had two knee replacements. One in 2006 and one in August of 2011. Dr. Otto did both. I have nothing but praise for him. From the initial visit, to the surgery and follow up,he was caring, professional and highly competent. Both replacements went really well. Both knees are great and I am pain free. In my opinion Dr. Otto is an excellent doctor.  Respond

03/03/11 1 5 5 5 Dr. Otto is a helpful, knowledgeable surgeon. BEWARE his incompetent, uncaring office staff! From providing incorrect surgery information pre-surgery, to failing to pass along critical documentation, to hanging up on patients after claiming "it's not their responsibility to get the paperwork to Dr. Otto" --As a surgeon he is great, just expect his staff to make your life a living hell.  Respond

19/07/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Otto did an ACL replacement on my daughters knee in 2008. It all turned out great. Her knee is feeling great and sometimes she even forgets which knee she had the surgery on. Very happy to have gotten in with such a great surgeon. Thanks so much!  Respond

27/07/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Otto did an ACL repair on my daughter in 2008 and was great! He did an excellent job and I would recommend him to anyone. He might seem serious at first, but I think that is just him wanting to let you know you have to be committed to this and the rehab after. He was great at the hospital and for all the follow up appointments. My daughters knee healed very quickly and she is doing great. Thanks Dr. Otto, I am sure glad we found you.  Respond

02/07/09 1 1 2 1 When I went in to see him, he seemed ingnorant and closed-minded towards new orthopedic procedures. To further my frustration, he was woefully unaware of who was doing innovative procedures in Canada. It will be hard for him to move forward if he doesn't look ahead.  Respond

30/06/09 4 4 5 5 Dr. Otto is an excellent surgeon -- very neat work, and amazing results for a TKR. My scar is much less visible than he noted it might be, and the knee is functioning very well. While it took a long time to finally schedule the surgery (2 years), once it was requested, it was done within 3 months -- hopefully that would be the same response after the cutbacks in spring 2009! Dr. Otto and his staff were courteous, informative, and really took the time to do a thorough evaluation pre-surgery. Best thing I could have done to regain use of a very damaged knee and my thanks to Dr. Otto for his skill!  Respond

06/01/09 5 5 5 5 I had rolled my ankle at work and had torn the ligament that attaches the tibia and fibia together (high ankle sprain). This injury required temporary lateral fixation (a screw) to allow the ligament to heal. Dr. Otto was so friendly and VERY approachable. He is quite knowledgeable and very friendly. He answered all my questions and informed me of all step she was going to take during the surgery. The follow-up visits were great also. When the screw had to come out after 3 months, he was joking around with me and even asked if I wanted to keep the screw! lol What a great guy!! Recommed him for anyone!  Respond

16/05/08 2 2 1 1 Dr. otto was very unprofessional, telling me that the pain in my knee was "just arthritis"/ and i would just have to live with it. the problem was a torn meniscus, which he failed to diagnose because he did't even physically examine my knee. it was diagnosed by my gp by feeling my knee. i would't recommend him to anyone!!!  Respond

25/09/07 3 5 5 5 After years of specialists, physiotherapists and other orthopedic surgeons who told me there wasn't much they could do for my knee I found Dr. Otto. H was completely honest that surgery couldn't guarantee a fully functional knee but that it could help. I could hardly walk prior to surgery and while my knee still isn't perfect, I'd say its at 80-90% functionality - the only thing I really can't do is run - considering the previous state I was in, this is a major improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Otto!  Respond

02/03/07 5 5 5 Though I think hes great as a doctor, I have decided to go to someone else. I have had over 5 knee surgeries and still having problems. Not his fault because of the fact that they havent come out with a new way to replace cartiledge.  Respond
