5/16/13 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Arrogant, condescending and dismissive. I checked in with very high blood pressure, after being told by an 811 nurse to "go to emergency immediately". Dr miller basically told me that 811 is a useless service that tells everyone to go to emergency and is a waste of taxpayers' money. This is simply untrue, as I have used this service a few times over the past couple of years and this is the first time they have told me to go to emerg. He made me feel silly for being there and that I had wasted his time. I have since been to my family doctor and she was very upset that he had let me leave the hospital without giving me something to take my blood pressure down. She had to give me medication, as it continued to rise since my e.r. Visit. As someone with no history of bp issues, I had nothing to compare my readings with and I did not know how serious it was. I am disappointed that I was dismissed after being at emerg for 7 hours and essentially receiving no treatment. Thankfully, I'm ok now. | Respond |
