:| Click to report rating    12/24/09 3 1 2 3  Definitely not a good listener. Gave me pain pills and sent me out the door - not exactly helpful. Receptionist was insanely rude to myself and other patients. If this stone doesn't pass in the next couple of days, I will be looking for a new doctor.

:) Click to report rating    3/12/08 3 5 5 5  Diagnosed with prostate cancer. Ugarte detailed treatment options and recommended radical surgery. Research proved his recommendation to be sound and correct. Great surgical results. Great nerve sparing technique. Answered all questions and gave god pictue of what to expect.

:| Click to report rating    1/19/07 3 3 2  The lazer TURP operation he performed did not result in the expected improvement that he promised. I still have to take Flomax to urinate satisfactorily. He indicated that it was my fault for going too often and that I should wait until it hurt before urinating. Not what I wanted to hear. I was told by Dr. Ugarte that I would be able to take medications for my COPD that normally interfere with urination. I have had to quit the most effective one, Spiriva. Dr. Ugarte has a pleasent demeanor, but I'm never sure he is really listening to my concerns . All in all, I went through a rather serious procedure that has a long recovery and did not get the promised results.
