I had Dr. Scarth for my sugery and he was very kind, informed both my husband and myself with all the information we needed. He answered all our questions, didn't feel hushed, he has a great bedside manner. He was always on time for my appointments. I was not pleased with his staff in his office, but he sure made up for them. I can not say enough good about this doctor and his staff in the OR! If I ever need anything done again I would only hope to have Dr. Scarth, I am very pleased with him.

I had surgery with Dr. Scarth a number of years ago, which went really well, and am scheduled for more minor surgery with him. He is extremely professional and provides you with the info you need when you need it. He also has a very genuine, caring and warm personality, and his humour is a truly calming influence. Dr. Scarth is a credit to the medical profession - we are fortunate to have him here in Saint John and New Brunswick.

I had Dr. Scarth for breast cancer and found him to be very helpful with information and the surgery. He was able to save my breast when willing to try for a clean margin again. That was 6 years ago. I have been back since and he is always helpful.

Very personable, great since of humor, only time he was late for me was due to an emergency in the OR.

Saw him in ER and when one Dr. said it wasn't gallbladder, it was indigestion due to weight, he came to my defense, ordered the ultrasound and proved that indeed it was ultrasound and before I had time to be scared he had me in surgery and had the disease organ out. Follow up was quick and efficient. Would only hope to have him if I ever need surgery again.

My mother was seen by Dr. Scarth in ER. He performed emergency surgery on her. She had a perforated bowel in two places. This was the result of a colonoscopy that was perfromed on her the day before.( by another Dr. it was not Dr. Scarf) He was very pleasant, and reassured my Mom he would take good care of her, and he did. After the surgery he came out and talked to us..he explained everything that he had done. He answered all questions without hesitation. He is well known, well informed, and I think he is Great!!

Excellent! This Doctor is very busy and excellent. Great reputation for his work. He always takes the time to talk and explain everything to his patients and their families. He make everyone feel comfortable and special. His patients are not just a number or dollar sign, they are people.

This man should not be allowed practice medicine. He wanted to save the province the cost of an ultrasound (his words) and almost killed me. This is my third attempt to post this rating but the others have mysteriously gone missing. My "could have been" day surgery cost me many months out of my life, my work, my time with my children. I was in the hospital for weeks battling for my life after his incompetance and he could not have cared less. If I had to have surgery again I would rather it be in third country with a butter knife than have this quack come near me.

He is a wonderful Dr and a very kind human being.I don't think you will find anyone to say anything less.Hope he always remains in Saint John.His expertise would be greatly missed.

I was 16, and had multiple blockages in my bowels and Was seen at emerg by Scarth. He was my Angel, he saved my life. The compassion and thoughtfulness he gave me was above & beyond his Job and was greatly appreciated. We are blessed to have such a Doctor in our city. The only bad memory I have is we agreed before surgery the scare would be minimal lol...ended up being 21 Big Metal Staples in my belly...But I am alive!! Thanks to Dr Scarth!

He helped my daughter twice. He performed two surgeries on her. He was very nice to my husband and I who had no idea what to expect. Very knowledgeable. We are very lucky to have this man in our town.
