I have been with Dr. Azam for slightly over a year and I find her to be very professional. I don't agree with some of the other assessments. I like the fact that she records notes in the computer and she was very proactive in requesting that I see a specialist about a particular issue. She is great!

Knowledge: I was first prescribed Lisinopril and then something similar in a similar dosage. The diagnose was HBP with 130/90 and I started to take the medication as she stated this was going to be beneficial for me. After my libido was almost gone and I started to inflate as a ballon I mentioned that my nationality had a lower rate of hart attacks than US citizens. So we changed to the other Blood pressure medecine. Afer 6 months I went for a physical and the liver values were drastically up. She asked me if I was drinking and I said no. So started to investigate and noticed that the side effects of the medication she prescribes was cirrhosis and liver putrefaction. Since that I stopped any medicine and my life is much better. I mentioned to her and she the medication is most beneficial for my health!!! I am not taking any medication now and my quality of life has increased in many aspects. I am a 46 and Mediterranean, in my country blood pressure is higher that the us Standard.

I, too, feel that her demeanor is superficial--and it REALLY bugs me that she stares at me and is typing at the same time--I don't know what it is about that that drives me nuts. I prefer a doctor to handwrite a few notes--maybe it's the clacking of the keys the entire time I'm talking that makes me feel like it's just off somehow. She gave me a prescription for a medication that is notorioius for weight gain and assured me that weight gain would not be an issue...guess what...after taking the meds for several months I rapidly gained more weight than I ever have in my entire life and I am physically active and did not change my diet at all. I'm very disappointed I went against what I had read and took her advice. I think in some ways I'm worse off than before...

She was very helpful, she was very interested in what I had to say. She had referred me to an expert since she was not positive. I am grateful to have her.

I have been Dr. Azam patient for 2 years. Both annual exams she did not seem to be in a hurry and patiently listens to a list of my concerns. It was easy to get referrals. I am more satisfied with this practice than the previous one I dealt with. I wish I switched earlier.

Poor professional behavior: does not call back to answer questions, or send referral forms, perscription on time & she laughed as she was reporting to me that I might have cancer. Not thorough: I have to remind her of possible referrals, her examination is so superficial. She always seems to be in a hurry & does not appear to listen attentively.
