:( Click to report rating    5/28/09 2 1 1 2  Very poor listener........operated without conducting an MRI.........misdiagnosed problem and operated at wrong site..........made multiple excuses after it was clear surgery was unsuccessful..........finally sent me to a specialist who confirmed what I've already disclosed above and sent a follow-up report to "Dr." Caffrey and I never heard another word from "DR." Caffrey or his office.

:) Click to report rating    4/2/09 4 5 5 5  I have seen Dr. Caffrey several times for various orthopedic problems. He was informative, caring, and rendered excellent medical care on each occasion. I could not be more pleased with the care I received.

:( Click to report rating    3/4/09 3 2 1 2  after having prior successful ankle surgery with Dr. Caffrey , I returned to have my other ankle checked.I told the Dr.where the pain was in my ankle (not in the same place as the last surgery )But he did not listen and proceeded to tell me that he knew what the problem was without ordering an MRI to see if I might be right.I contracted a serious infection following surgery ,returned to Dr. Caffrey as required and spent months in rehabilitation.I continued to complain about the pain in my ankle and Dr.Caffrey asked me to be patient and continue in rehab.After several return visits Dr.Caffrey referred me for a second opinion.The new Dr. immediately ordered an MRI and informed me Dr. Caffrey had operated in the wrong area and said I would require additional surgery to fix the problem.I'm sure procedure would call for my second MD to send a report to Dr. Caffrey.I'm upset that I never received any follow-up from Dr.Caffreys office,no offer for payment reconciliation and no apology.
