09/03/11 4 4 5 5 Dr. Biglow has been my family's physician for 20 years. He has seen us through some really hard times, with great care and compassion. He is easy to talk to, has a wonderful sense of humour; listens intensely when things are serious. I don't know what we would do without him.  Respond

20/08/10 5 5 5 5 An excellent practitioner, and the community is most fortunate to have one of his caliber. I have been a patient of his for close to twenty years.  Respond

13/04/09 4 4 5 5 Have moved to Ontario otherwise would still be his patient. He is the most caring, understanding, helpful, honest, courageous individual I know. On top of that he is certainly very down to earth and has a disarming sense of humour that makes even the worst situation more bearable. Qualicum Beach and area residents are fortunate to have this kind of Doctor in the area.  Respond

15/02/09 2 3 5 4 Dr.B. has been our doctor for over 10 yrs. He always strives for the best service and treats his patients with compassion. I always leave feeling content that I am in good hands. While I only have the best to say about Dr. Clair, unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the front staff employee. This person is so preoccupied with herself and her personal phonecalls and woes that it is not pleasant to listen to when you are not feeling well.  Respond

12/02/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Biglow is a great family doctor. He is as knowledgable as any doctor I have met but is more open and compassionate than many. You may have to wait to see him but when you are in the examining room you are not ignored or rushed out the door. Dr. B is not a pill pusher for me or my husband. We have moved to Nanaimo but will continue to see Dr.B until travel is impossible or until he retires. His thorough exam saved my husband's life with referral to specialists who found bladder cancer in its early stage. I would wait as long as necessary to get good medical care. Qualicum residents are fortunate to have Dr.Biglow. Nice staff, competant, well mannered and open.  Respond

25/10/08 5 3 5 5 Dr. Biglow was good to me. He's the only dr. I'll probably ever trust. I would also travel from Campbell River to Qualicum in order to see him. He's honest, and he cares. While it's true the waiting can be longer than planned, it's only because something's important, and one day that "something important" could be you. Unfortunately another dr.s problems became Clair's, and I can no longer see Dr. Biglow. I not only miss him, but I don't get the regular, important check-ups 'a woman my age' should be getting. I always wish him well, and hope he reads this. The wait is worth it... Best dr. I have seen.  Respond

30/08/07 4 1 2 2 Very disappointed with Dr Biglow. I've heard so many good things, but he hasn't helped at all. We can't seem to get any answers from him. He doesn't seem to be interested in helping find the problem.  Respond

31/07/07 4 3 5 5 A fine doctor. Quick to understand, slow to judge, easy to talk to and he listens !! Unfortunatly, as with every great doctor, everyone wants to see him at the same time which leads to some lengthy appointment times. However in an emergency he ALWAYS manages to squeeze you in somehow. As I am diabetic, his expertise in this field has been, literally, a lifesaver. TWO thumbs up!  Respond

24/06/07 2 4 3 Very nice doctor, but not allways easy to get appointments, you have to wait ten days or more. Office staff should be less gossipy on the phone, it is not professional  Respond

09/04/07 3 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Bigelow since I was a child. He is incredibly understanding and caring. I am totally grateful for him and his staff. I have horrible anxiety about seeing doctors, except for him. He makes me very comfortable.  Respond

05/04/07 4 5 5 Dr. Biglow is one of a special breed these days. He truly cares abut his patients and it shows. Those under his care are NOT clients. He is a doctor, not a business man as is often the case these days. He has provided exceptional care for my husband and I since coming to Q.B. and I'm hoping he'll be here l as long as I am. By the way , there is no 'e' at the end of his first name (Clair) That is the feminine spelling and does cause some confusion. Can't say I agree with the positive remarks concerning one of his office workers. Her personal phone calls and gossipy comments about her private life serve to annoy patients who can't avoid hearing details they would rather not know. But nothing is perfect and that's the price we pay in order to see the best doctor we've ever had.  Respond

27/03/07 5 5 5 Dr. B used to be my doctor and delivered my son when he was in Campbell River. He is fun and sweet and I miss having him as my GP. He is no longer my doctor (moved away), but I will always consider him a friend. Huge Hugs to you Claire! Thanks for caring so much, you are a asset to the industry.  Respond

23/03/07 5 5 5 Dr. Biglow has been our doctor since the beginning of his practice and is a wonderful Doctor in every respect. He has a great sense of humour and manages to put a smile on every face no matter what and also is very serious about his patients well being. He also has the greatest office secretary Charleen who also is very caring about each and every patient that enters the office. I hope he stays in Qualicum until he has to retire.  Respond
