I became a very grateful patient of Dr Fehlings in 2025, by referral by Dr. Mark Bernstein, who attended my initial consultation in late 2024 at the R.A.I.N Clinic. Today marks 16 days post-op. that Dr Fehlings performed spinal surgery on me on February 18th. I prefer to think of it as performing a miracle. Right from the initial consultation, I felt confident in Dr. Fehlings' care. I had never had any major surgery, yet he put my nervous mind at ease, with his calm and confident manner, his firm reassuring handshake and the way he explained everything to me and my husband. I never left any of the appointments with any uncertainty or unanswered questions and always left with a smile and most importantly, HOPE Dr Fehlings has given me hope that I can get some normality back in my life, and enjoy a happy life with my husband once again. Thank you Dr Fehlings, Dr Bernstein, Dr. Pedro and all of the surgical team. Thank you to lovely Marissa and Rosalie, Katherine and Princess who both helped me a lot before and after surgery. What an amazing team! I was able to walk today without a walker, without limping and drive my car 20km to see my family doctor for the first time post-op. He and his staff were all very happy and amazed to see me doing so well and no walker/cane after 16 days There are not enough words to express my gratitude to this Surgeon and his amazing team. Dr Fehlings and Dr Pedro performed L4 to S1 fusion, laminectomy and foraminotomy on me in September 2025. He and his team were marvelous. I had no idea how much the 45 years of pain had affected my outlook on life. Now that is markedly better and I find myself much happier and hope to continue working for many years. His staff are very motivated. Marissa is great. During my 2 day stay in hospital, I complimented one of the nurses on his manner. He said to me "Be the change you want to see". This team works very hard at providing tremendous care. Thank you

Dr Fehlings a very humble person. My mom was so happy with her recovery. She is so blessed for our health care. The staff at the hospital were so caring. Once again grateful and thankful no words can describe our mom’s experience.

I was diagnosed with a meningioma and feel incredibly fortunate to have had Dr. Michael Fehlings as my neurosurgeon. From the very beginning, his calm confidence, expertise, and clear communication put me at ease. He is not only a highly skilled and well-recognized surgeon, but also a compassionate professional who truly cares about his patients. The surgery was a complete success, and I’m deeply grateful for the brilliant care I received. I truly believe I was in the best possible hands. Thank you, Dr. Fehlings for giving me back my health and peace of mind.

Dr Michael Fehlings is a wonderfully gifted scientist and surgeon. His research and operating methods are widely recognized. He is considered one of the foremost neurosurgeons in the world. It is now one year since he performed my Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion ('ACDF") surgery at Toronto Western Hospital ("TWH"), part of the University Health Network ("UHN"). I had been diagnosed with Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy "DCM"). The symptoms of DCM are progressive, but can manifest rapidly, due to accident or injury, which can result in truly frightening symptoms. In my initial planning consultation with Dr Fehlings, my wife and I were both impressed by his calm, confident and deliberate manner. ACDF surgery is intricate, and highly complex, requiring extraordinary surgical skill. His description of the procedure engendered trust. The process that followed, including planning, registration, surgery, post op and recovery was expertly managed by Dr Fehlings and his team, and the highly capable and caring staff at TWH. I received detailed and thorough reports of each step in the process as it progressed. I remain deeply grateful to Dr Fehlings. I should also like to thank Dr Mark Bernstein of the TWH RAIN Clinic for referring me to Dr Fehlings; Dr Karlo Pedro, the highly competent and caring clinical fellow on Dr Fehlings team; the residents on his team who administered my post op care, his hard working administrators, and the many, many caring, considerate and kind TWH medical staff. Lastly, I remain deeply impressed by TWH and UHN. UHN is one of the world's finest health care and research organizations. It attracts world leading research scientists and surgeons (like Dr Fehlings, and many others). It is also a very caring, considerate and compassionate hospital, as exemplified by its many extraordinary staff. P Wilson

Was diagnosed with degenerative discs and spinal stenosis in 2023 Had surgical consult in February 2025 with dr Fehlings was sent for a EMG and another MRI I have C7 chronic radiculopathy , no areas of “critical” stenosis , and I have multi level degeneration Because I smoke that’s what he is blaming it on , told me to go to pain clinic manage my pain and quit smoking This Dr scolded me like a child in the principals office with his finger pointing at me with a very rude ignorant tone about my smoking !! So basically I’m a smoker so I don’t require intervention to prevent further issues This Dr is rude , judgemental and dismissive If your a smoker or an addict of any sort stay away from this one he can’t be bothered

I had a decompression and a fusion surgery from C3 to T1 done by Dr. Michael Fehlings in January 2025. I was so desperated since March 2024 to September 2024 as no neuro surgeons in Toronto, Mississauga, and Scarborough wanted to accept or offer me any surgery or treatment but rather only declined my referrals brutally and boldly. By that time, I was in bad shape with my gait balance and both hands had become numbed. Dr. Fehlings took up the challenge that other surgeons didn't even wanted to take and did the spinal surgery on me. Dr Fehlings has God's hands. I am so happy as my surgery went well. Now I am gradually recovering and regaining my gait balance as I expected. Dr, I dont have enough words to thank you. I am so incredibly grateful. Dr .Fehlings is one of kind. Dr. Fehlings is a Master of his field. His medical team was so brilliant. Special thanks goes to Dr. Fehling's secretary Marissa Efstathiou. She is a wonderful human being. I wish you a lifetime of success, happiness, and a long life, so that others, who were in such dire situations, may be helped by your incredible skills. Dear Sir. may all your dreams and desires come true! Ron Silva January 30, 2025

Overall for us he was a mistake which we are still working to repair. He rushed through surgery and with his God like complex tried to lower our expectations while amplifying his work. Expect poor bed manners from him and his team as result. Highly disappointing follow through. The Candian sick-care system is falling apart and he is the entitled posterchild of it! Just don't go researching his assault cases with female colleagues on top. Ughh!

Dr. Fehlings and his team addressed my complex cervical condition in a competent and professional manner. I was at high risk for quadrapalegia. I have full confidence in his expertise. Further, he was regarded by many other hospital staff and specialists I encountered prior to my surgery, to be the best in Canada.
