When you get there, the secretary is on the phone all the time (not patients, gossiping with people she knows) and the people (who are in pain or ill!) have to wait to just give their medicare card until she's done! Then you have to wait at least an hour even if you arrive a few minutes early, under the pretense that it can take longer for the previous patients. Even if you arrive when it opens. And you're in pain or ill. And when you FINALLY go in, he thinks he knows everything and when I tell and even show him my symptoms of what I know I have, he just acts superior and says I don't have that. I HAD AN INNER INFECTION THAT COULD KILL ME AND HE DENIED IT! So now if I have an emergency, I just go to the emergency one storey below, where the secretary there does her job instead of gossippng on the phone, it takes at most five minutes and that's WITHOUT an appointment! And her and Dr. Mazzarelli are kind and helpful and quick. Hate leaving bad reviews but people need to know to avoid him until he learns from this and becomes kind and helpful and gets the heck off his high horse! Sorry, Dr. Benaim. I'd rather die than waste my time on him again until further notice. Because if I do, I will die.
He is a very considerate Dr, even took time to call me at work after blood tests results arrived and refer me to speciallist for sjogreen . I've also consulted him several times at the clinic and he has always taken time to listen, gather information and propose the best treatment. He sends you for tests, exams by other professionals to have the best picture of our health consition and what we need. Generous of his time, he does not consider a patient as a number. carlos villarroel
Dr Benaim originally seemed to be an amazing doctor. After a while I came to realize how lazy he really is. He never returned my calls and on the occasion time he did he only remained on the line for a maximum of twenty seconds. He rarely offers good and helpful medical advice and does whatever makes him money. I strongly advise that you overlook his service and move on go another gp.
I am very satisfied with Dr. D. Benaim I think he is one of the best family Doctors I have known, very polite, makes a complete examination, asks questions and gives answers to all questions asked. He was the one who found out that my husband had prostate cancer and immediately got him an appointment with the specialist that operated on him, that was in 2004. Now on the annual check up in April 2010, he found that my husband had blood in his urine and send my husband for another blood & urine test, which he then send to the Urologist, who has decided to operate because there is a problem with his urinary track. On another occasion My daughter a diabetic, was sent home from the Lasalle hospital because they said she had a throat infeccion, when in reality was an ear infeccion, I took her to Dr. Benaim the next day and he sent her for XRays and found she had double pneumonia. He finds the problems right away. I think he is an excellent doctor.I thank God for him Luisa Araujo Giampetrone
